Burnt out cars

Angusburger 17:38, 22 October 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
Improvement

Suggestion scope
All survivors

Suggestion description
There are many car parks and streets in malton, empty, usless blocks. I propose, that on about 40% of all streets and carparks, there should be a few burnt out cars. These cars would have been trashed in the early days of the outbreak, and so would be unusable. These cars should be able to be searched and there should be a low probability (under 10%) that you could find either a mobile phone, a book or a bottle of beer in it.

Keep Votes

  1. I am the creator, and so have one vote --Angusburger 17:40, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep - Wow. A vehicle suggestion that is actually sensible. =O -- Cheese 17:45, 22 October 2008 (BST)
Re Who would have thought it eh! :) --Angusburger 18:37, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  3. Keep - Eh... it's ok. --Sonny Corleone DORIS MSD pr0n 18:18, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  4. Keep - Sounds good to me.--SirArgo Talk 18:31, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  5. Keep - If only for the keep streak, which, by me mentioning it will make someone vote kill. Thereby my one vote is in fact making two! Now prove me wrong and don't vote kill. Slightly more serious; I like the idea, but I'm curious, does this add an extra search button or are we automatically searching the cars instead of the streets? - User:Whitehouse 18:41, 22 October 2008 (BST)
Re No instead of searching the street, you search the car instead. --Angusburger 06:29, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  6. Keep - Not bad. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 18:48, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  7. Keep But not as something you can search, just in the street description. --A Big F'ing Dog 20:43, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  8. Keep - Although it would be far more sensible to be able to search burnt-out horses. -- Galaxy125 01:31, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  9. Keep/Change - This already exists. How about we change the flavor text to match it? --Private Mark 04:50, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  10. Keep - No harm in the tweak. The flavor makes sense. --Jen 04:58, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  11. Mmmmm, flavour! - Nothing wrong with having a little more of the stuff. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 11:28, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  12. Keep - Good idea, but IMHO it needs some small adjustments. Searching on 40% of the streets should make the player receive a message that he searched among cars. Janjones 00:53, 24 October 2008 (BST)
  13. Keep on the condition that only the first person to find it gets to search it and it has better search rates than searching the street --Tjayh913 02:51, 24 October 2008 (BST)
  14. Keep - <3 I wish the spam/dupe votes read the name of the suggestion and realised it wasn't about the searching... DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 07:49, 24 October 2008 (BST)
  15. Keep - I really like the flavor of it. --Lt.G Deathnut | TheStayPuftMan 21:53, 25 October 2008 (BST)
  16. Keep - I love it. --Haliman - Talk 21:55, 25 October 2008 (BST)
  17. 'Keep' - This flavor is tasty. -- --Minigun4523 19:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
  18. keep Assuming that this gives the choice of searching the car or the street as different entities (like mall stores) As to why these things might be there.... everyone uses the car to shop!--Honestmistake 22:50, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
  19. KeepAs honest. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:11, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
  20. Keep It makes sense. --DrBowman 21:12, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - As Whitehouse.:) - tylerisfat 20:41, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - Burnt cars wouldn't contain anything but burnt garbage. However, this isn't a dupe. The limited item range alone makes this significantly different, and add to that the increased odds of finding stuff. Claiming this is a dupe of searching the streets is about as valid as claiming that any TRP is a dupe of Junkyard. --Midianian|T|DS|C:RCS| 00:32, 25 October 2008 (BST)

  1. Dupe of existing feature. You can find those items outdoors in all locations, if you bother to search. I've even found guns outside. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 19:21, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  2. Dupe of existing feature.(Link is the game itself foo!)- Urban Dead, I plays it, I finds bullets on the ground. I's even dig up some learnin' while bridge searchin'.--Karekmaps?! 20:58, 22 October 2008 (BST)
  3. Dupe - As above. Cycle this. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 12:00, 23 October 2008 (BST)
  4. Dupe - As above. Carparks even turn up related items. And why would there be beer or books in the carparks?--Kolechovski 23:05, 23 October 2008 (BST)
Spam - It's not a dupe, exactly: it's a search rate buff and a bit of flavour... However, these changes are totally unnecessary and uncalled for. --04:28, 24 October 2008 (BST)Unsigned...well there was no name to it at least.--SirArgo Talk 04:31, 24 October 2008 (BST)
  5. Dupe - ummm, move this on please.--xoxo 02:16, 25 October 2008 (BST)
