Suggestion type
Improvement

Suggestion scope
Option to reverse your brain rot skill

Suggestion description
I know lots of players who bought the brain rot skill as a zombie a long time ago, but now they’ve been revived and are enjoying playing as a survivor, they regret their previous decision and wish there was some way to ‘cure’ their rot.

How about this for a solution: When a human survivor with the brain rot skill is standing INSIDE A POWERED UP NECROTECH building, they are able to spend e.g. 20 AP (as you would manufacturing a syringe) to ‘cure’ their brain rot. I.e. The skill/curse is removed (though the XP is not refunded). Maybe if they also have flesh rot, it costs 40AP to remove the pair.

Surely this is a reasonable change. Surely the good scientists at Necrotech, beavering away in their hundreds of buildings for four years, would have come up with a cure by now? There are no ‘game balance’ issues here, and no potential for ‘griefing’ or any other inconvenience, as only you can remove your own brain rot. We’d simply be making the game more fun for those who have decided they’d like to play as a survivor again. Who are we to say “You’re not allowed to change your mind?”

Keep

  1. - Author vote --Susan Barker 11:41, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  2. - Keep i took brain rot ages ago, but have been playing as a survivor for a whole year now. i'd much rather spend 20AP curing the rot than have to spend months gaining XP for a new character! --Brescia 18:07, 8 August 2009 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. - Kill - If you choose to get brain rot, then it should stay.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 13:53, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  2. - Kill -As above--(x)AlvaromesaTalk | Bacardi |MPD | Malton Public Radio 17:21, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  3. - Kill - Maybe if you worked it out it'd be better. But, for now, no. --User:Axe27/Sig 17:36, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  4. - Kill - I don't know about you, but I have a survivor alt, which means that this wouldn't happen. Also, getting a rot revive is difficult, so most people wouldn't do it, and those who do enjoy the difficulty of finding a powered NT building. This just doesn't make sense. User:Armpit_Odor/sig 17:49, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  5. - Kill - Well you can't undo any of the other skills you purchase, why should brain rot be any different?--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 19:20, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  6. - Kill - I'd look upon this more favourably if there was a limit to this (like you can only perform the procedure every 6 months) so that people who wanted to be death cultists for a while couldn't just abuse the system to get easier revives when they want and then buy Rot again when they don't want to get revived. Old characters have tons of XP stored up, so they could re-buy Rot a hundred times over if they wanted to. --Bob Boberton TF / DW Littlemudkipsig.gif 19:26, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  7. Kill - create an alternate character without brain rot... it's free -- boxy talkteh rulz 23:08 8 August 2009 (BST)
  8. - Kill If you don't want brain rot, you don't buy it. Simple. Raven6666 16:15, 9 August 2009 (BST)
  9. - Kill As Bob. Nemesis645 15:28, 10 August 2009 (BST)
  10. - Weak Kill As Bob. --Uberursa 18:39, 10 August 2009 (BST)
  11. - Kill The beauty of Brain Rot lies in its finality.--Maps 19:49, 10 August 2009 (BST)
  12. - Kill It's incomplete in and of itself, potentially pointless, wastes XP, and doesn't account for Flesh Rot. --Visible One 01:02, 11 August 2009 (BST)
  13. Kill - The Rot is a one way street. --Midianian 14:01, 11 August 2009 (BST)
  14. Kill - As per what Giles said above --Chekken 04:17, 14 August 2009 (BST)
  15. kill unless you change it significantly. I would approve if it also wiped out all your skills and spare xp. --Honestmistake 11:22, 14 August 2009 (BST)
  16. Kill - If your brain has rotted, it's rotted. This isn't a disease we're talking about - Zig13 - 17/08/2009 at 11:12(BST)
  17. Kill - Cure us?? But there's nothing wrong with us! -- Sage|Carr Cobra 12:45, 17 August 2009 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - The suggestion is partially incomplete because it doesn't specify if turning off brain rot is permanent (ie. whether you could just buy rot once you've taken it off). If you can't and turning it off is permanent, it's hypocritical of the suggestions entire purpose. If it isn't, it's a dupe. Regardless, spending a day's AP to get rid of Brain/Flesh Rot permanently is stupid, and has been discussed numerous times before. --ϑϑ 16:07, 8 August 2009 (BST)
  2. Spam - As DDR. --Papa Moloch 00:09, 9 August 2009 (BST)
  3. Spam "Who are we to say “You’re not allowed to change your mind?”? First of all, you get a warning "are you sure?". Secondly, how long does it REALLY take to look up the what the skill does before you buy it?--Pesatyel 05:11, 9 August 2009 (BST)
  4. Spam - As Pesatyel. Linkthewindow  Talk  06:05, 9 August 2009 (BST)
  5. Spam I might like it if it worked for only your next revival then you have to do it again. I feel if you bought the skill it was choice in the first place, so a quick easy fix to get rid of it is kinda cheap. The rest is basically as DDR said. --Rohndogg1 06:21, 10 August 2009 (BST)
  6. Spam As pest. --Papa Johnny 21:52, 10 August 2009 (BST)
