Tougher Zombies

Timestamp: 05:46, 11 June 2006 (BST)
Type: Skill
Scope: Zombies
Description: I think this idea would help zombies a lot, by providing them with an AP drain on Humans that want to kill them. By wasting Humans' AP, they become weak and will be unable to take out the Zombies. Here are 2 Zombie skill that can boost the HP of Zombies.

Lack of Pain: The zombie can take more punishment, +10 HP

Rotten Flesh: Bullets and blades pass right through the zombie, +5 HP.

They stack with Body Building, meaning that a Zombie has a max. health of 75 HP. These two skills do not carry over if you get Revived.

The zombies' main strength is the ability to withstand punishment and assemble into hordes. This way to withstand punishment before falling will be able to assist the Zombies out in the future. Zombies don't need added health to begin with...they can live forever because they stand up. But this way makes Suriviors lose AP when killing zombies, and an AP lost is an AP that cannot be used to barricade or escape from the claws of the hordes.

I'm open to suggestions

  1. Dupe- Please read Advanced Zombie Skill Trees - Mutations this is the same idea and much much better.--LCpl Mendoza 05:53, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  2. Kill - Unh, no thanks, I feal this would be overpowered. It fails the multiply it by a million test, thats 2,000,000 barricade levels that can't be acheived because of this (2AP extra for killing a Zombie at least). A bit overpowered don't you think? - Jedaz 05:58, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  3. Kill - Fails the "make it fun" test. Meatshielding is about the most boring thing a zombie can do. --Jimbo Bob ASSU! 06:06, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  4. Kill - Zombies need improvements, but not in this form... try increasing hit percentage/damage --Gage 06:24, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  5. Kill - Fun to zombies, but not so fun to survivors. --Nob666 11:12, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  6. Kill - Does it pass through revivication? Besides, seriously unbalancing, needs WAY improvements before I vote Keep for this. --William Raker 12:11, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  7. Kill - I would vote keep if both of these gave +10 hits and body building didn't carry over to zeds! --Honestmistake 13:14, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  8. Kill - Fails multiply by a billion in a worse way than Jedaz contemplated — what about the AP used for getting the ammunition? If the zombie also has a flak jacket… no. This is beyond the realms of merely overpowered, this is just absurd. –Xoid 13:25, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  9. Kill - As Xoid. --A Bothan Spy Mod WTF U! 13:40, 11 June 2006 (BST)

  12. Kill - Zombies' strength lies in numbers. Not in being a colossal necrobeast. --Jon Pyre 00:17, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  13. Kill - Just... no. HamsterNinja 00:39, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  14. Kill - This isn't the answer, but an idea similar to this needs to be implimented. Perhaps making Bodybuilding not work on Zombies then add these in... Or something... -- Tirion529 01:10, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  15. Kill - It really needs to require brain rot. Think of it, if your flesh is rotted a needle won't change that... -Certified=InsaneUG 03:20, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  16. Kill - How nice that zombies get to keep body building hp benefits but humans can't have the 15hp from the zombie skills. --Cazador 07:56, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  17. Kill - I am interested as to what would happen if the zombies killed all the humans, would kevan need to reset the server? or be godlike and revive a few healers or somehting? but this could bring that to pass. too overpowered, not that my zed characters would care Nazreg 11:15, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  18. Kill - Fails the multiply by a billion test. Read Suggestions Dos and Do Nots. –Bob Hammero TW!P! 04:45, 15 June 2006 (BST)

Wirecutters as a weapons

Timestamp: --13:37, 11 June 2006 (BST)
Type: Item usage
Scope: Wirecutters
Description: Wirecutters are, as we all know, completely useless at the moment. As we also all know, useless items are useless. What I am going to propose is using Wirecutters as a weapon.

Admittedly, wirecutters are not a particularly threatening weapon, but it would be more for fun than raw damaging power. They would work in a similar way to the punch attack, with 10% to hit without Hand to Hand combat, and 25% with it. It would deal 1 damage on sucessful use, and the following messages (open to alteration) could be used;

Attacker Message

When used on a zombie - "dodging between the zombie's (zombie name inserted here if it is in your contacts) flailing limbs, you ram your wirecutters into its face for 1 damage

When used on a survivor - "Creeping up on (insert survivor name here), you quickly stab him in the eye with your wirecutters for 1 damge, and listen as he squeals in pain.

Victim Message

When used on a zombie - "You feel a sharp sting in your face. (insert attacker name here) stabbed you with his wirecutters for 1 damage"

When used on a survivor - "You shriek in pain as (insert survivor name here) stabs you in the face with wirecutters for 1 damage"

This would purely be for those who like to mess around, maybe those who enjoy killing others with a kitchen knife, and is not for all. However, it would give the wirecutters a use until someone came up with a real use for them.

  1. Author Keep --HerrStefantheGreat 13:37, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  2. Keep - Why not? It's just as weak as using your hands, and oh so much more satisfying. --A Bothan Spy Mod WTF U! 13:42, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  3. Keep - In a zombie infested city, I'd use anything as a weapon --EnForcer32 13:47, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  4. Keep - Nice flavour. Realistic. Cool. --Otware 14:00, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  5. Keep - flavor :D --xbehave 14:01, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  6. Kill - Wirecutters being as powerful than a fist? Nah. Personally, I don't like the so-called flavour of this suggestion either. –Xoid 14:03, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  7. Keep - I love the flavor, Love the idea. It would be around the same damage as fists anyway - it's just some more weight and a little bit of pointiness added onto your hands. --Shoofle 14:30, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  8. Kill - Utterly useless. As such, its almost certain to get into the game. --Grim s-Mod U! 14:47, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  9. Keep - Meh. But why not? --McArrowni 16:46, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  10. Kill - What's the point? If you don't like having a useless set of wirecutters, why turn them into another useless weapon? Find an axe -- Tirion529 17:55, 11 June 2006 (BST)
    • Re - Yeah, but people like the kitchen knife just for the reason that it is a laugh to be able to say "oh yeah, killed you with a kitchen knife! Why not have a similar function for the wirecutters? At least the wirecutters come with some entertaining text.--HerrStefantheGreat 21:39, 11 June 2006 (BST)
      • Re - Sure they do, but that's no reason to put in an even worse weapon. I'd rather seen Suggestions that better the game, not clutter it. -- Tirion529 00:06, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  11. Keep - But what about our children?! Don't they see enough pointless violence in their life already? Why do we need to teach them how to blind people with wirecutters?! (Naah, just kiddin'.) --Niilomaan 18:05, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  12. Keep - Ace!!! We need a use for wirecutters. Why not use them to stab people in the eyes? -- Krazy Monkey W! 18:55, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  13. Kill - So you want to turn a useless item into ANOTHER useless weapon? I think not. Fails the "don't suggest bad ideas for Peer Approval" test. David Malfisto 19:53, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  14. Kill - As everyone pointed out, useless. --Matthew Fahrenheit 20:24, 11 June 2006 (BST)
    • Illegal RE - Oh come on!!! Haven't you ever wanted to kill someone and see the message "You stab Mr Cheesy in the eye for 1 damage. He falls to the floor writhing in pain and dies of shame." I think it would be fun. -- Krazy Monkey W! 20:41, 11 June 2006 (BST)
    • Re - What Krazy Monkey said - "Oh come on!!! Haven't you ever wanted to kill someone and see the message "You stab Mr Cheesy in the eye for 1 damage. He falls to the floor writhing in pain and dies of shame." I think it would be fun." --HerrStefantheGreat 21:36, 11 June 2006 (BST)
    • Re - It's still useless, and flavor just for the flavor itself doesn't accomplish nothing. You can make people die of shame already, by using your fists, why add ANOTHER useless weapon? Two more things: aknowledging the illegality of a Re doesn't make it acceptable, and don't Re again because i don't like to cluter the page/take this to the talk page. --Matthew Fahrenheit 02:46, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  15. Keep - Cool for the fun and the flavour? KyleTravis 21:07, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  16. Kill - Useless function + useless function still equals useless. How about suggesting something that would actually make the game better? --Jimbo Bob ASSU! 21:15, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  17. Kill - Stupid, pointless, etc. --DJ Dave 21:22, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  18. Kill - This is silly and pointless. Don't clutter up peer reviewed with silly and pointless crap. --Mookiemookie 23:23, 11 June 2006 (BST)
  19. Kill Wirecutters are not an effective weapon and adding flavour to the game is not always an effective use of Kevan's time. --Jon Pyre 00:16, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  20. Keep Just because it would be awesome to have the killing blow on a PKer come from Wirecutters. Its painful and humiliating at the same time! HamsterNinja 00:37, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  21. Keep - We already have books, this would fit in just as well. And I don't know about you guys, but I think I'd be hurt if I got hit hard with a wirecutter. Crazy Hand 03:41, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  22. Keep - Why not put use to an item, it doesn't give anyone any sort of extra power anyway, I think if this doesn't pass the wirecutters might as well just be removed from the game, why have them? --Cazador 07:53, 12 June 2006 (BST)
  23. Kill - Like DavidM, Jimbo, Mookie, and Jon said: useless. Everyone that voted keep "just to add flavor" should be using knives, lengths of pipe, and bats to attack and just pretending they're wirecutters. --Raystanwick 03:01, 13 June 2006 (BST)
  24. Keep -Honestly, what's the big friggin' deal? How does this hurt the game or adversely effect players fun? It doesn't. Don't like it, stick with the fire axe. Adding more options and making useless items...less useless can ONLY enhance the game. There are only two options for wirecutters, get rid of them (I notice nobody makes THAT suggestion) or make some new use for them (which always die because either the suggestion sucks or, as RAF Lt.G Deathnut said back in January, "can people stop trying to make wire cutters useful again?" Uh, why?--Pesatyel 04:59, 13 June 2006 (BS
  25. Kill - Sorry, but survivors don't need anymore weapons. -- Mia Kristos 02:03, 15 June 2006 (BST)
  26. Kill - Wirecutters are useless, but survivors have enough weapons as it is. How about a non-weapon use for wirecutters? –Bob Hammero TW!P! 04:49, 15 June 2006 (BST)
