New Leadership

Legend X has joined The Abandoned. We wish him well and respect and appreciate all he has done for us. In leaving he has asked me to remove Valarauker - or shall I say he requested I not add him at all - but Wayne says Valarauker has killed him at least 3 times he knows of. Either I, or Willie B will be the new leader - maybe both - but if anyone has an opinion on putting a member of The Abandoned on the enemy list please let me know. I don't like it but Valarauker sounds like an ass. And yes, I was provided the screenshot before posting. Terrible Man 18:44, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Membership

The official stats page shows us with 10 members. Group numbers are shown at http://www.urbandead.com/stats.html I know we have more than that. The lists show as many as 40+ but I am guessing the actual number after Bale's fall is around 20. Can you plese put 'Bale Mall Elite' as your group. Putting 'BME' will not let your membership show up. Thanks Terrible Man 18:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Steps To Get PKers Outed

If you are KILLED inside Bale Mall (and not currently on our Enemies List), please leave the name of the PKer under this heading (and copy of screenshot if you have one). Do Not become a vigilante and take the law into your own hands until the PKer is listed on our homepage under the official Enemies List. There are only 4 squares in the mall. We usually have multiple members in each square. Nothing is happening that we aren't aware of but we need a 3rd party report to add someone to the List.--Legend X

REMEMBER - ONLY players who are on our enemies list can be killed INSIDE Bale Mall.

Barricading

Barricades on the mall buildings, and ALL buildings that touch the mall, are to be barricaded to the highest degree (Extremely Heavily + 4). The only exception to this rule is the Church and the Hospital. Both should be kept at Very Strongly + 2 barricaded in order to allow survivors to enter.--Legend X

Discussion parameters

B.M.E. reserves the right to clean up past discussions as they outstay their relevance and clog the forum. Discussions that are accusatory, repetitive, stupid and/or that use foul language will be deleted. Even pertinent discussions will be removed at times to reduce the amount of material on the page.--Legend X

BME Recommended Reading (A.K.A. The Undead Bible)

This is a small chapbook that one of our members stumbled upon. It only costs $6.50. It is probably the coolest Zombie book ever outside of Brian Keene's "The Rising". If you like "The Walking Dead" or the George Romero movies, you have to buy this book. BME members often quote it in-game. Yagoton barricade policy update

We're planning a revision of the Yagoton barricade policy, which might have affects on the mall. We want to deal with the double entry points at 40,11 and 42,11, combining them into one. We would then have to revert the junkyard south of the mall back to VS status. Would the BME agree to this? --Doubler 16:01, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Doubler, we like having access to the mall through the church (St. Spyridons - 42,10) and the hospital (St. Matthews - 45,9). Is the Surridge Bldg. at 42,11 being down at VS a goal? If so, why? Can't they go to the church 1 space north and move down? We have never liked the junkyard being kept at VS because all the newbies horde there and don't protect the barricades. By keeping it at EH they tend to flock to the church and hospital - which is the whole point. not saying "No", of course, but would like a little more information. The junkyard is a real weak spot for the mall. Terrible Man 19:36, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
The dual entry points is the problem, along with the possible VS of Style. That's a very weak area, with way too many entry points clustered together. On the other hand south and south-east of Bale is a large section of yellow (and one brown, which equals yellow - the entire area is a 5x5 block without entry points), and by putting the entry at the junkyard we could avoid having to create yet an additional entry point (45,12) and at the same time combine two entry points in the north-west into one (at 41,11). Should Style then become EH, the entire area will become both stronger and easier to acces. The barricades at the yunkyard wouldn't really need to be protected, except to protect the newbies, which are better off somewhere else: We hope to make it in the whole more attractive for them to spread out as well --Doubler 20:19, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
On the other hand, that what I proposed has some nasty side effects. I think it's easy to circumvent the point and end up still better. Check out the example here. --Doubler 21:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Final proposals for the new Yagoton barricade policy here. The second plan has a bit more merit (you can easily compare them) and is likely to be enacted. This will involve shifting the entry point (since we want the phone mast at EH). --Doubler 15:25, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Bale Mall

Are you all still around Bale Mall? --Ev933n / Talk PPGC 19:11, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes. Terrible Man 16:22, 3 May 2007 (BST)

A problem with one of your members.

(Out of character) Someone claiming to be Donnie (His ID: http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=832317) from BME is harassing the Umbrella Corporation and the Order of Longinus. I think he's a zerg, because he's using commas in his username. Please clarify, we're having a lot of immature people attacking UC. Doctor Birkin 01:21, 10 April 2007 (BST)

Donnie Baker hasn't been a member for over a year. Probably an imposter as that player is NOT registered with us. Terrible Man 16:22, 3 May 2007 (BST)

Catherine General is at VHB

The only hospital in the 'burb is barricaded to VHB. I found this out the hard way when I wasted 10AP on a FAK run only to find I couldn't even get in. If the barricade policy is to allow entry to the hospital and divert newbies (like me) from the junkyard around Bale Mall, this is not the way to do it. If the intention is tho have the only hospital in Yagoton barricaded to this level, then it should be reflected on the Barricading Plan. Thanks. 2 May 2007 Medic Tex http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=851349

= An error that has been corrected Terrible Man 16:20, 3 May 2007 (BST)

The Hospital is barricaded to EHB as of 1700 hrs GMT on 3 May. Another 16 AP wasted. Medic Tex

Impersonation on the Radio

Hello BME, if you haven't noticed it already, someone or something has been attempting to impersonate me on the radio, and is making false orders to kill Legend X. Realize that I made no such order, and Legend X is still part of the Abandoned.--Private Mark 20:59, 9 June 2007 (BST)

Alliance

The Necroinquisition wish to make an alliance with you. One of our members was recently killed while staying in the mall. We will be conducting raids against PKers in the general area.

I am sorry but on of our members has spotted DashX, a PKer that has killed him once. fortunately he only has 1Ap so we can aviod a serious incident. I will however ask you to kill him on our behalf.

The Shades of Malton (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Shades_of_malton) would like an alliance with you. --Khorne25 10:23, 27 August 2008 (BST)

The Great Suburb Group Massacre

Stop hand.png Group Active? Request.
In order to maintain the wiki as an up to date source of information groups are occasionally removed from the Suburb pages when they are no longer active. Is this group still active? If so simply confirm here by writing something below. If not it will be removed from suburb pages in 14 days.

Currently the suburb in question is East Boundwood but one response to this query will be all that is needed to protect your group link on all suburb pages. I know this is a may seem a stupid request but its for all groups regardless of size. Thank you. --Adavastor 17:28, 28 July 2008 (BST)

Stop hand.png Group Inactive?
No reply has been recieved as to whether this group is still active. The 14 days have passed and as such the groups link has been removed from suburb listings. If the group is again active please feel free to revert these changes
