Railway lines

I am currently hunkered down in whardon (may have spelled that wrong) way fire station. I noticed that there are railway lines right next to me. Any idea what they are for?

Right Maps are a bit better now. If you look on the Northwest Borehamwood page, ive combined all maps of the area into one large map to avoid confusion. Hello from Parkhouse Walk PD!

This is Joe England ("Joe") from Parkhouse PD. We're VSB and stocked with between 20-40 survivors, day-to-day, and have construction on hand. We're adjacent to several other PDs, as you may know, and we've been communicating on 28.06 to avoid the incessant 28.01 unsigned chatter. We're powered and armed, and looking to help everyone else stay the same. We've just started communicating with Dowsett Row PD on 28.06 as well. We aren't a formal defense force as yet, but perhaps together we'll all morph into one here in NW BHW. Stay in touch, and use 28.06 to reach our PD. Saburai

Best method of communication

I've been spending a lot of AP running around NW Borehamwood, telling people to join the various organizations that are forming and tune in their radios and asking them for news. It's exhausting! Is there an easier way? I use the wiki, but I get the sense that few others check it regularly. Is there a forum that is getting wide use for coordinating in Borehamwood? I know some of the larger groups have forums, but I don't know if they apply to actions in Borehamwood specifically.

It just seems ridiculous to run all the way from Parkhouse to Dowsett just to see who's there and ask them how their barricades are. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
