Hello

Just dropping by to say hello, and thank you for the forum reply! See your group around. Hope we can work together in the future! =)I've set things up in the Killingback Cinema. New Order of Zion said they'd follow me up there and help keep the places powered. 20:29, February 6, 2007 - Kyrygvald

Update

Greetings fellow survivors. Recently, our group, The Crusade of Reclamation was declared by you an enemy of your group due to the unfortunate actions of one of our members, Palmer Z. We were unaware that he was randomly reviving people and I wish to aplogise for that. We do not seek enemies among survivor friendly groups nor do we actively seek to revive Pkers, Gkers, or any other nasty sort. Please have your leaders speak to us on our talk page so we can resolve this situation without unnessary survivor bloodshed. --Iggy13 22:25, 26 March 2007 (BST)

If you know of any Pkers Gkers or Griefers please post their names in our DNR section of the Wiki.--Iggy13 22:06, 27 March 2007 (BST)

I Say, Old Bean

Sorry, force of habit from my group's theme. Anyways, we have temporarily taken up residence in the Standfast Arms (which I have noted is your "spiritual home" as mentioned on its own page - the decision to locate there was purely random on our part) until our low-level members can level up and find useful items and so on. That's not why I'm contacting you though - it seems there may be a zerger or zed spy in our midst:

http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=819876

They seem suspicious for the usual reasons - a name which could easily be modified for other alt accounts (e.g. heavyweapon3, heavyweapon4), starting as a Scout, being created four days ago but still not having any XP (I would have thought that if they were a new player they would have at least tried something by now, or looked at the wiki) etc.. I may be wrong, but it appears suspicious to me. Anyways, I wanted to ask whether the name means anything to any of you or if you've seen any similar accounts around the area, given that you've been in Danversbank for some time and have a reasonably large membership in comparison with many groups. Have you seen any accounts with similar names, and/or has there been any recent zerg or zed spy activity? Thanks. --Lord of the Pies 14:57, 30 March 2007 (BST)

I say, old chap! I believe you command the MEF, yes? Please enjoy our infamous pub, but remember to restock. I haven't seen that heavyweapon character around, but we've had quite a problem with zed spies, griefers and most likely zergs, thanks to the new and unscrupulous zed group Extinction. In fact, I was just PKed by one of them about an hour ago. How lovely. They're trying to siege our NT but can't seem to get enough alts over here to knock down the doors. Hence they've started PKing DRRP members. I would enjoy meeting you in person to discuss the state of the suburb and your long-term plans. There's plenty of room in Danversbank for stand-up survivors groups, as you can see. Like I said somewhere before, our burb is a pretty hell with few resources and lots of dark corners from which evil lurks. That's why we love it so! As soon as one of my fellow gun-toting alcoholics stabs me with a needle, I'll be heading back to Kynaston. Cheers!
Paddy - 01:11, 31 March 2007 (BST)

Good morning chaps, I hear you've been having a bit of trouble with the Philosophy Knights? Lord and I have met them before, believe you me. I'll have a little word and see if I can persuade them to follow more enlightened goals, wot wot? (If not, then we'll just have to see, won't we?)--Jim Jacobs 21:50, 8 April 2007 (BST)

This is a pressing matter indeed and we would be thankful if you could explain to us your exact views on the matter, so that we may provide some form of aid if necessary. --Lord of the Pies 22:05, 8 April 2007 (BST)
Yes, the Philosophe Knights have decided to move into Danversbank for some fun. The DRRP make it known on the Wiki that members provide medical services at Danversbank Hospitals and protection at the PDs. They've made a point of killing the doctors assigned to those hospitals and the staff at the PDs as part of their so-called 'education' program. It seems that they wish to dictate how others play the game. We expect to have to collect DEM bounties on the Philosophe Knights in response. You assistance would be very welcome as, frankly, PKing isn't why we play the game. R33F3RM4N 11:02, 9 April 2007 (BST)
Greetings, MEF! We tried every possible means of coming to peaceable terms with the Knights. I thought they had honor, but apparently that is a hard quality to come by these days. In any event, all communications with them have ceased. We are not PKers--it bores us, to be honest--but as R33F says, we will defend ourselves and the citizens of the suburb. Friends and bounty hunters are on the way. We would love your assistance, but completely understand if you don't wish to get involved in what will surely prove a bloody affair. --Paddy Dignam 17:38, 9 April 2007 (BST)
Well, I'm afraid we can't get involved just yet as we're sending our newer recruits to safe zones so that they don't get too involved in this conflict. Once this order has been carried out (which should undoubtably be soon, indeed) we will hopefully be able to provide aid to you, wot wot. --Lord of the Pies 21:22, 9 April 2007 (BST)
Understood, my friend. We'll be here, dead or alive. --Paddy Dignam 23:43, 9 April 2007 (BST)

It seems there's a spot of confusion over your barricade plan, old chum - there are two supposedly current versions on the good old wiki page, one in the article and one on the talk page. I presumed the one entitled 'current barricade plan' on the talk page is correct, but I just want to be sure so neither us nor any of our lads go over-barricading. --Lord of the Pies 20:45, 17 April 2007 (BST)

Indeed. Any help you can give us with the barricades would be most appreciated. The Provisional Danversbank Barricade Plan page will always reflect the most current plan. However, we are not maintaining schools or museums at the moment due to the occupying Philosophe Knight forces. The DRRP has rejected forced enlightenment and proclaims, drunkenly and quite off key, We don't need no education. We do not love Big Brother. Non serviam. --Paddy Dignam 01:47, 18 April 2007 (BST)

Sorry old bean but I hear you've had a spot of bother with one of our old chums Pox. A bit on the yellow, slack-jawed, flesh-eating side, but altogether a good feller. Unfortunately, it seems that in his haste to help repel the rotting blighters from one building or another in Danversbank he inadvertantly smashed the Generator, ostensibly because the attack options are right beside one another. I'm honestly not sure what to say of the killing of survivors, but I'll be sure to prevent that from occurring again, and if any of the DRRP need a hand returning to life and any of our lads are in the area I'll have them lend you a hand. --Lord of the Pies 23:06, 23 May 2007 (BST)

Oops, I almost missed this. Yes, we were a bit confused about your mate Pox. If he's gnawing on rotters then more power to him, but I believe he destroyed a genny and chewed up a DRRP member. I wasn't in the room when it happened but I'll try and get one of the boys to give you the details. Thanks for all the help in Kynaston, by the way. That gave us the chance we needed to barricade the rest of the suburb. Carry on, LoP! --Paddy Dignam 20:38, 30 May 2007 (BST)
The incident in question took place on or around the 17 May 2007 during an assault on the NT building at Kynaston and was reported on the scouting reports for that day, Plague Pox appeared to enter the building during the assault and chow down on yours truly until death did us part. Now I'm not out for revenge or anything like that I'm just a bit confused. If it was a genuine accident or there was some sort of legitimate grievance that I'm unaware of then I'll be happy to crack open a beer, propose a short but snappy toast to our mouldering friend and say no more about it. No hard feelings towards the MEF at my end, you guys do a great job! --Sara Blue 20:19, 31 May 2007 (BST)
He's at it again, Plague Pox just brought down the 'cades in Voss Lane PD and took several swings at yours truly causing my current infection, the details have been posted on the DRRP forum along with the appropriate evidence in the scouting reports. No way that was an accident! --Sara Blue 12:41, 03 June 2007 (BST)

Due to the presence of some complete bounders within our otherwise noble-minded organisation, my fellow CO and veteran LotP and I have decided to, well, disband the MEF. However! All is not lost; we inted to continue bouncing around Malton with some more carefully chosen compatriots - this time operating as a nomadic group. We haven't ironed out all the details, but one of them certainly is, "No Zombies!" - they keep wanting to eat things. I'm sure we'll see you chaps again, and we would certainly like to keep on good terms. Incidentally, you may find yourself with a new recruit or two - if you would like verification of their good chap-ness, just ask me, and I'll take a look.

So! Take care of Danversbank, and if you ever feel the need, the need for people saying 'Wot wot wot' and shooting wildly at Zombies, just give me a ring or send me a message via this wiki. --Jim Jacobs 21:48, 14 June 2007 (BST)

Churches as Revive Points?

DRRP folks, what do you think of this proposal?

http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/RESCUE%21

It seems to make sense to me.

-Okrin 05:31, 23 April 2007 (BST)

Needs some fine tuning but, for the most part makes sense. --XxPale HorsexX 04:52, 24 April 2007 (BST)
I don't see this being worth the hassle of publicizing and implementing. I like the idea of free running straight into a covered RP, but the possibility of overbarricading is too great. When I'm dead I don't want to waste AP tearing down cades. Maintaining entry points next to open RPs amounts to the same thing and it's already established practice. Also, if churches are kept open that's at least one more building in which survivors won't be able to find safety. Seems to me that publicizing the hell out of the revive request tool would be a better/quicker way to get the cows back on their feet. --Paddy Dignam 02:08, 26 April 2007 (BST)
This argument doesn't work for me. From POV of conserving APs for reviving the logic is flawed - 10 APs are needed for a revive and this approach won't save 10 APs at a time. From POV of assisting dedicated revivers the logic is also flawed - revivers who work an area know the entry points and plan accordingly. From POV of providing open access points, yes, it works, I've previously opened a similar discussion on our forum in regards to this topic - it becomes a problem of maintaining low barricade levels and it adds yet another level of complexity (buildings that zombies are allowed into?) to the mix. And yes I am aware that the YRC use this approach - Yagaton has a higher building density than Danversbank and Danversbank needs all the barricaded buildings it can get. Ultimately I think the idea is fine on paper but brings more work for minimal (if any) gain. Open spaces such as parks and cemeteries are just as functional for RPs. R33F3RM4N 23:57, 3 May 2007 (BST)
I'm with the notion that, if there is a building as an RP, it'll be harder to tell friendlies from hostiles. At the moment, rotters are the only problems in cemeteries, but what if a level 40 zombie character without brain rot (just because they felt like being a zombie) breaks down a church and jumps inside. You, thinking that churches are revive points, needle the guy (after DNA scanning and finding nothing suspicious.) Next thing you know, you got an axe in your head for reviving somebody that didn't want to be revived. That can happen in cemeteries too, but not nearly as often since the zombie in question was attacking the building in question.--Robthearch1 01:43, 24 May 2007 (BST)

HS

HS invites you to show off your score on your main page so other can see how you have done. It is a measurement of your ability to deal with zombies and will be useful to those looking for a group. the ranking is based on the idea that AP is the measure of all things and effective strategy uses as few human AP to achieve a goal which takes many zombie AP to undo. Also you are invited to send a diplomat to our forum. Noc 22:16, 25 April 2007 (BST)

I'd be interested to see your HS rating for the Philosophe Knights - they do nothing to aid survivor efforts - no barricading, no healing, no revives, only player killing - and they throw themselves to the zeds in order to avoid retribution for PKing. From my POV the HS seem to be apologists and mouthpieces for the Philosophe Knights. As such your overtures are unwelcome. Please do not use our wikipages for your self-promotion. Ceasefire for the June 1st event in Kilingback Cinema?

The Batwing Brigade has announced a screening of Vampire movies on June 1st in the Kilingback Cinema.

My alt in Danversbank would love to attend this event. Unfortunately, the movie screening is open to survivors only, and Zombuddha spends most of his time as a zombie. When human, Zombuddha is in fact a known GK'er and public enemy of the DRRP. I'm certain that if he were to attend the vampire movie, Zombuddha would be identified and assassinated promptly, and would be dumped outside long before the movie ended.

Of course that's a risk you take when you join a group like Extinction. But I'd really like to watch this movie. Of course I promise that Zombuddha will behave nicely in the cinema; will harm neither generator nor survivor while in the cinema or its vicinity.

Is there any way we can arrange for a truce or ceasefire, beginning on June 1st and lasting until the movie is over? Of course Zombuddha's ultimate goal is directly opposed to that of the DRRP. But in the meantime, perhaps, we might recall the Christmas Truce and peacefully watch a movie together?

Buddhagazelle 14:59, 29 May 2007 (BST), on behalf of Zombuddha

I'll talk to the other boys and girls about this. Kind of a cheeky request, don't you think? I mean, you wanna destroy our culture and enjoy it at the same time? Sounds like you need to choose a side. We've had more than one run-in with Extinction in the past and I can't say we have much respect for them. Someone will get back to you. --Paddy Dignam 18:35, 29 May 2007 (BST)
Yes, I'm quite aware how cheeky the request is. My QSG alt, Buddhagazelle, usually attends such things but for him to be so close to Zombuddha would violate zerging rules. (And I must say, zombie language and culture is quite advanced so for these events to discriminate against zombies is rather racist). How about this? If Zombuddha attends the screening unmolested, he will depart Danversbank and not return in the month of June. Zombuddha 23:28, 29 May 2007 (BST)
It was a close vote, but the answer is no. The consensus is that, to put it simply, we don’t negotiate with terrorists. See our history with the Philosophe Knights if you want to understand why we can't afford to trust you. As I mentioned above, you can't have it both ways. You can't spend most of your time trying to destroy our way of life and then call a timeout when you want to participate in our way of life. As for the allegations of "zombie discrimination," it wasn't our decision not to allow zombies at the event. This is The Batwing Brigade's party; the cinema just happens to fall under our jurisdiction/protection. But you might want to check the Brainstock forum. It seems Penny may not be averse to zombie attendees after all. Lastly, your allusion to the Christmas Truce impressed us. Clearly you are not a twit like other members of your party (its leader included), and we have not given up hope that you will choose to act with honor in the near future. Buddhagazelle is, of course, welcome to attend, providing he has Penny's permission and does not violate any zerging rules. --Paddy Dignam 05:30, 31 May 2007 (BST)
Thanks, Paddy. Zombuddha's a bit of a twit but his user is an honorable man (the affiliation with Extinction is rather loose-- it's way too much trouble to join their forums and everything, but Zombuddha finds their Salt the Land policy much to his liking). I appreciate y'all's consideration, and your decision is quite reasonable. BARHAH! Buddhagazelle 21:15, 31 May 2007 (BST)
Zombuddha has my permission to attend, assuming ey behaves eirself of course. The same goes for any others who may want to attend, dead or alive. If anyone does not behave themselves, on the other hand, we would appreciate your help in evicting them. Since we are not a group of fighters, we are ill equipped to actually enforce a decision to keep specific users out. I should probably point out that I expect most of our events to take place indoors, which means that any undead participants will have to plan ahead accordingly... And, in case I haven't already done so, I hereby invite all members of the DRRP who are available to join us! A little short notice, I know, but it is the thought that counts? --Penny Black 19:00, 31 May 2007 (BST)
Thanks, Penny! Zombuddha will be there in his zombie form, will behave himself, and would be glad to help evict unrulies. Buddhagazelle 21:15, 31 May 2007 (BST)

Big Bash Repair

December 24, 2007 Hello, Paddy et al. My name is calista griffin and i applied for an account at your board. just thought i would say hi here. would love to talk. the dribbling beavers are in the area, most were eaten when perryn and whittenside fell and we are trying to aid with the clean-up there. noticed your lovely burb has mostly recovered, but that there is some feral activity in the south. we're here to help, but would appreciate any advice you can give us. --calista griffin 07:28 am, GMT Monday, December 24, 2007

Hello there, calista! I gave you access to the board. There has been persistent zed activity in south Danversbank for months and most of the survivor population has fled to greener (literally) pastures. We'd love to meet you in person. If you hurry you can still make the annual DRRP Christmas Party and Talent Competition. Do you juggle? --Paddy Dignam 19:26, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
sadly i can't, but my alt a butt can! however, i suspect she has gotten into the eggnog. she's there now singing off key. see you there. --calista griffin , 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Evil Avatar

Greetings Paddy. We got your message. We need to talk. I'm trying to speak with the GBP, but those talks aren't going so well with the leadership as I'd like. I really want to maintain good relationships with the survivors in the area, so I hope we can work out a way for us to work together in a mutually beneficial manner. We have nothing but the safety of the survivors in the area in line, and we're not a group focused solely on our own survival. Our strategy very much relies on the help of our neighbors, and we realize this. I've registered at your forums in hope of continuing discussions so we can coordinate to defend against the oncoming horde.

Thanks, Torrefaction 18:58, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Great Suburb Group Massacre 2013

I'm a volunteer helping to do some janitorial work on the suburb pages of the wiki. As part of that, we're double-checking in which suburbs each group is active. Currently, you're listed in one or more suburbs, in addition to using a radio frequency. If you would like to continue being listed, then please respond within the next month with the radio frequency you are using and a list of every suburb where you are currently active. If we don't hear back from you or we can't get the information we need, we'll be removing you from the lists, but you're welcome to re-add yourself later. If you have any questions, feel free to visit our informational page. Thanks. --RWSig1.png RWSig2.pngFoD PK Praise Rando!08:08, 23 October 2013 (BST)
