I'm not sure about this strategy, here are the assumprtions I work under:

grasp +10%for claw and bite, bite 30% claw 50%, you lose grasp half of the time which you miss.

I ran up a small script to test this and found (no standard deviations I'm afraid):

No initial grasp

Using Bite on 100,000 Survivors with 4 Hp takes 333900 Ap (3.339 Ap per kill)

Using Claw on 100,000 Survivors with 4 Hp takes 375953 Ap (3.75953 Ap per kill)

Using Bite on 100,000 Survivors with 8 Hp takes 663667 Ap (6.63667 Ap per kill)

Using Claw on 100,000 Survivors with 8 Hp takes 549094 Ap (5.49094 Ap per kill)

Initial grasp

Using Bite on 100,000 Survivors with 4 Hp takes 285441 Ap (2.85441 Ap per kill)

Using Claw on 100,000 Survivors with 4 Hp takes 350041 Ap (3.50041 Ap per kill)

Using Bite on 100,000 Survivors with 8 Hp takes 591656 Ap (5.91656 Ap per kill)

Using Claw on 100,000 Survivors with 8 Hp takes 525483 Ap (5.25483 Ap per kill)

This puts bite always ahead for a 4hp target and claw always ahead on an 8hp target.

Its obvious claw is ahead for [1-3] hp targets and if 3 claw hits (to kill an 8 hp target) is more likley than 2 bites then [5-7] favours claw.

In fact for pure usage claw then wins all the way to 60.

So if a target has 4 hp its better to bite them, otherwise use claw? Not quite - we would rather bite with grasp if we can (unexplained assumption there) so if the target is a multiple of 3 +4 we will want to bite at some point, and we might as well do that as soon as we get the grasp, until we hit or don't get grasp.

My suggested method is:
