The RED LIST

Here a list of those who have raised their hands against HOPE by killing its members or destroying their equipment. HOPE considers these characters to be Kill On Sight (KOS).

  • Goris for generator destruction (02MAR09)
  • grueinthedark for generator destruction (NOV08)
  • Hells Fargo for the murder of William Holtz (DEC08)
  • Mr Bitch for the murder of Wendy Spitz (OCT08)
  • Sam Bombabum for the murder of Sarah Stevens (DEC08)
  • Trever W for the murder of various members of HOPE, total kills around 16.
  • varul for the murder of Wendy Spitz (OCT08)
  • Vitiosus for the murder of Lilian Bode (NOV08)

Fall-Back Plans

The following is HOPE current retreat/withdrawal plans should something happen to Headquarters:

  1. The evacuation of the Stowell Towers. This should be done following any immediate medical attention needed to befall a member of HOPE.
    1. Radio from HQ to HOPE2 and the rest of HOPE a Situation Report, and notification of withdrawal. Should HOPE2 be manned, and such radio transmission received, a broadcast of having received the message should be sent.
  2. Egress to the Cui Towers in Spicer Hills.
    1. Access into the Cui Towers should be found in either the Barens Road Fire Station of the Stockman Walk Police Department, both set Very Strongly Barricaded according to the Spicer Hills Barricade Policy.
  3. Maintain Cui Towers' Extremely Heavily Barricaded status as per the Spicer Hills Barricade Policy.

Talk

Feel free to post whatever discussion items you want within this section of the page. If you are a guest to our page, please use your full character name from Urban Dead (should we need to know who you are in game) followed by "Guest" (ex. John Doe "Guest").

Holtz: Testing 1, 2, 3.... Is this thing on?

Herod: No, but I can hear you anyway; that's the great thing about being in the same building.

'Sparky': I can hear ya Vatos. HEY AMIGO's Cui tower's got all the hot ladies with the blazing lead. I need to fig'er out how to get dez mobile phones working you got any ideaz?

Herod: I seem to remember a few "building"s close to Cui east and south. That looks like the center of the burb, so one of them should have the phone mast, see if it has power.

Holtz: To be clear, I thought this Wiki discussion page would be an excellent place to conduct Out Of Character (OOC) conversation. However, this isn't to say that a little 'fun roleplay' is unacceptable.

Herod: Sounds good, we may want to consider tertiary fallback plans from both HQ and H2. Obviously we can't man them effectively, nor even monitor any such locations. My idea then is to instead use a regular interval of blocks from our buildings set as possible fallbacks, and radio to other HOPE members where a good haven is. Might as well be prepared, eh?

Holtz: Sure. I just don't want to get too deep into contingency after contingency. Not to mention I've no idea just how many people will navigate here to the Wiki to get the accurate fall-back information. One idea might just be to have HQ, the fall-back Cui Towers, and then a suburb to withdraw to following that. Once in the suburb stick to your radio and one of us can get to a location with a transmitter to retune it and report a good place for us all to meet up.

Brian: man..only 63% percent of players are Zeds, no wonder people are sleeping on the streets..

Lilian: WTF does this mean? Someone said "Here, have a beer" then smashed it over my head for 3HP. Then they said "xD" Anyone?? I don't know whether to kick his ass or brush it off as douchebagery.

Herod: Can't see any rational purpose behind it, so crazy is as crazy does. If this guy isn't trying to kill anyone, then I don't see any real impetus to do anything except watch. He may turn to outright murder to amuse himself in the future, murderers around here talk like him.

Lilian: He's just been hanging around HOPE2. I inquired as to the purpose behind his actions but haven't heard anything yet. I just have to hope I don't wake up dead.

Holtz: Lilian, arm yourself with a newspaper. You can attack players with a newspaper without doing any damage. It's the obligatory "bitch slap" you can retaliate with without actually doing any harm. Your other option, of course, is to out RP him to the point of publicly humiliating his character to the rest of the room.

Brian: This guy just killed Sarah, I took the liberty of adding him to the red list--Brian Eetar DTD|CFT|GMG 12:31, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Holtz: Roger. I'm also adding a bit of text to show why they're on the list and a date. Please feel free to add text to those you personally know on that Red List.

Herod: I don't have any screenshots, but I'd advise any of you that do to use them as evidence to get Trever onto the DNR (Do Not Revive) lists here on the wiki, if not rogues gallery lists. He had his description speaking of his desire to take Stowell as his own, but likely changed it when he realized it might interfere with his group listing of "Please Revive".His strength is in anonymity, let us take that away from him.

Holtz: So I've officially reported Trever W to the Rogue's Gallery. With any luck this may draw the attention of a few other headhunters. I'd also like to open a discussion of moving HQ to another area. With all the chaos going on in Lockettside I thought I'd see how people felt about moving HQ to a completely different location in Malton.

Brian: How 'bout Gulsonside?

Wendy: I also have reported Trever W to the Rogue's Gallery after he killed William. I thought enough is enough. Especially with his character description of "Pking is bad mmkay". I now have accounts both with Brainstock for reporting pkers and image shack for screen shots. Needless to say, if I see anybody pking I'm going to report them.

Wendy: As for moving. I have an alt way up in Pashenton and it is lively, but not overly so. I've never been to Gulsonside, but Wendy is always up for some recon work.

Herod: Seems to me like Lockettside is fairly quiet. I mean, aside from Trev and that Ted guy; it's been almost peaceful. I suppose one place is about as good as any other; but if we're going to move we need to be sure of exactly where and why. To be honest, I just don't want Trev to think he's won.

Holtz: Agreed, however it's a toss-up between being caught up in PKers who are hunting us down, PKers who are killing others in our home, and PKers who've decided to drag HOPE into their own little escapades. I'm not seeing it as handing a victory to Trever. HOPE is still alive, we'll have the adventure of getting to a new location, getting it set up, and meeting the locals. Plus, we might move to an area that has a little more Zombie activity to keep everyone focused on being a survivor and not a PKer. So, I was thinking something on the ass end of the map (like Santlerville) might be worth discussing.

Lilian: Meh. He can only kill one of us at a time. Personally I don't think it's worth moving HQ just because of one idiot. As for The Living Ted, that was my own fault for poking the bear. I shouldn't have done it. As far as I'm concerned he can be removed from the RED list and ignored. I don't know what we do about PKers that hole up at our HQ and bring their baggage with them, but I think we'd have that problem where ever we go.

Sarah: I agree with Lillian - let them come and we'll deal with it as necessary.

Wendy:We can leave HQ where it is, but Wendy is still going to recon the suburb that was suggested - just for something to do. Looks like the mall tour is going north for the time being, so I hope she makes it back before they hit. Pkers are a problem throughout Malton as far as I can tell. When my alt Kaddira was in North Blythville there were a couple, and Pashenton has guys bringing down barricades then trying to PK people. You really aren't safe anywhere. I don't think anyone has been offended that they died in our HQ, it's just part of the game.

Holtz: Should anyone check the Wiki, I thought I'd start a discussion about recruiting. Anyone have any thoughts one way or another about attempting to actively recruit for HOPE? I'd have to assume we'd continue to do it through RP, but as most of us have been hanging out in the same areas I'm not sure we're reaching fresh players.

Herod: I'd be happy to go off and explore the city, while recruiting for HOPE. My only concern is that if I am killed, I might be stuck dead for a while.

Ojive: I would also be willing to go recruiting, once this whole mall tour incident has been wrapped up.

Brian: Man, I haven't seen one if you guys in the game for a long time :p, I'm pretty a big zombie menace right now so I won't be able to go to Lockettside for a while. also, what's up with this Terminator dude?
