Nominations

PKer Awards

Best PKer Group

  1. Cobra (group) - It's been five months and almost 400 kills since the split, and we're going stronger than ever. Can't argue with numbers like that. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 15:26, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Best PKer

  1. Sally A Summers, Malton's premier femme fatale. Get a load of that bounty - PHWOAR! ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 15:26, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Best PKer Moment

  1. Axe Hack's Manhunt 4: It was going to be nominated, why not get it out of the way? The bloodiest manhunt to date featuring a who's who of who's killing you. --Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
  2. The splintering of Cobra and the still lingering grudge that it caused. ~Vsig.png 02:54, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Zombie/Death-Cult Awards

Best Zombie Group

  1. The Dead 2.0 - who else? They tore this city to shreds. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 15:28, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Best Zombie

Best Zombie Moment

  1. The March of the Dead 2011: After a long period of semi-dormancy, the Dead resurfaced with the help of Death cultist subsidiaries and drove survivors to the brink of extinction. --Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
  2. March of the Dead. No question. ~Vsig.png 02:56, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
  3. March of The Dead 2 - kills loads of people, wrecked most of the city and turned the map red. Nuff said. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 15:28, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Bounty Hunter Awards

Best Bounty Hunter Group

  1. Team Extreme. ~Vsig.png 02:56, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
  2. Team Xtreme. Hands down the most collaborative, coordinated and assiduous group of bounty hunters working in Malton today. Led by Josh Clark and and his second, Katie Burns, Team Xtreme's work has influenced the lives of survivors, the un-lives of zombies and the should-get-a-lives of text rapists. Malton is a better place because of them. --Bad Attitude BarbieSDN 03:25, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
  3. Fallen Saints - Rabbit and Cutter are a gruesome twosome. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 15:30, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Best Bounty Hunter

  1. Josh Clark. ~Vsig.png 03:02, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
  2. Raven Corvus Domino Harvey 23:06, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Best Bounty Hunting Moment

Harmanbargar Awards

Best Survivor Group

  1. SDN: A new survivor super-group that has proven itself this year with successful large scale operations in Ridleybank, Whittenside, Gulsonside, and Dunnell Hills against Malton's largest and most organized zombie groups.--Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
  2. Skynet Defense Network Yes! They are a rough and tough bunch! --Josh Clark 22:57, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Best Survivor

Best Survivor Moment

  1. Everyone vs The Dead 2011: In an event that shaped the face of Malton, Survivors rallied after being reduced to their lowest number in some time. Eventually, the push back involved almost all major groups, including some zombies and PKers, who all worked to turn the tide. The resulting map had but two red suburbs and was mostly green.--Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
Don't forget the crazy search rates the survivors had and the dead's numbers quickly dwindling. Chances are if they wanted to the map would still be a sea of red        13:33, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Ineptitude Awards

Most Inept Group

  1. The Heathers: This once notable PKer group spent the end of 2010 and the entirety of 2011 hunting (with only moderate success) the same group of survivors for whom they were awarded a 2010 MMA. Even though those survivors neither hid nor retaliated, the Heathers continued to tout it as a landslide victory. With no original taunts in a year, no need to hunt their prey, no threat of reprisal, and only occasional diversions into other unsuccessful operations, they stand as a testament to laziness and ineptitude in the field of PKing truly worthy of this award. --Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
  2. The Original Cobra for a number of reasons, but mainly for this rather grandiose claim they they would grief us (the other Cobra faction) out of the game if we didn't quit the group. Five months later, we're still very much alive and thriving! FAIL! ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 15:23, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Judge's Area

For one thing, I want to keep JP discussion this year as transparent as possible, so I try to keep as much of it on the wiki as possible. Of course, cat-herding 5 folks without employing forums PMs, e-mail and IRC will be tough, so this plan is almost guaranteed to fail, but it is still something I will try to. -- Spiderzed 16:45, 27 October 2011 (BST)

Categories

Any comment's from my fellow judges about the categories? Carrie wondered on IRC if we could have a survivor category this year. -- Spiderzed 16:45, 27 October 2011 (BST)

I'm totally down with a survivor category. Since we already cover PK'ers,BH'ers and zeds, why not? Only seems fair. Any decent PK'er worth their salt will have encountered some survivor group whom they'll have gained a little respect for after all. Let's see a best/wittiest taunt in here too. Bit of recognition for those class one liners that often get missed. ~ Kempy “YaketyYak” | ◆◆◆ | CAPD | 17:05, 27 October 2011 (BST)
Oh, Best Taunt. Yes, that deserves its own entry. Last year, all such attempts got swamped out by broader PKer events like the war on ACC. -- Spiderzed 22:44, 27 October 2011 (BST)
Added, along with Best Dressed. -- Spiderzed 23:05, 28 October 2011 (BST)

Time Range

Checking for the man-hunt events, I saw that Red October ends on November 22 and that AHMH5 starts on December 2. I'd prefer a clean cut that gives people some wiggling room to vote for the current event without bleeding over into the next, so I'd like to change the end date to November 30 (giving one week to evaluate and vote for RO2, without overlapping into AHMH5). Anyone against that? -- Spiderzed 12:38, 28 October 2011 (BST)

That's fine with me. AHMH4 happened after the last Malties. Of course so did the first Red October. :P ~Vsig.png 14:37, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
All good in the hood, SZ. ~ Kempy “YaketyYak” | ◆◆◆ | CAPD | 15:59, 28 October 2011 (BST)
Extended then. -- Spiderzed 23:05, 28 October 2011 (BST)

Other stuff

General Banter

Do not cast your vote yet. Categories are still subject to panel discussion. -- Spiderzed 15:33, 27 October 2011 (BST)

Frankly after the Bullshit nomination last year of the FU into a finalist position when they tied for votes with SFHNAS I'm glad you've actually got some voices of reason on the panel this year. --Like Moss and The Dude..... 15:44, 27 October 2011 (BST)
Yup. But we've got Harrison too, so...for every ying, a yang. ~ Kempy “YaketyYak” | ◆◆◆ | CAPD | 15:53, 27 October 2011 (BST)
Prediction: Half the PKer community do not recognise this MMA and hold their own (the other cobra crowd). Natural result of Prediction: Lulz.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 18:02, 27 October 2011 (BST)
I demand a jury of Ross and 11 other sys-ops to arbitrate this. -- Spiderzed 18:11, 27 October 2011 (BST)
I rule in favour of the side that posts the most images of Bill Duke on the wiki in the next week, whilst avoiding vandalism/misconduct punishment. --Like Moss and The Dude..... 18:33, 27 October 2011 (BST)
wow yon. that was funny. #truth--User:Sexualharrison22:09, 27 October 2011 (bst)
Jury, Spidey? Who do you think you are? Me? :P --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 22:46, 27 October 2011 (BST)
I do. I also refuse all non-sys-ops as arbitrators, and won't participate unless there are at least 12 members in the jury. -- Spiderzed 22:53, 27 October 2011 (BST)
There's only 9 SysOps, excluding yourself. Unless you wish to count Kevan and Urbandead as well, that will be 11. The question is...Will you be able to convince Kevan and Urbandead to partake in this jury? ;) --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 23:08, 27 October 2011 (BST)
Who said I was to be excluded? -- Spiderzed 23:21, 27 October 2011 (BST)
In what category would you suggest nominating "everyone vs The Dead 2011"? Perhaps a crossover event category? Also, does the failure of a PKer group to do anything of merit in the last year and half while still remaining constantly active count as ineptitude?--Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
Tricky one that. Could be under Best Zombie moment or Best Survivor, considering we did figure them out and pull off an amazing 'V The Mini Series' comeback. Either way, it's deffo gonna win an award cos it was the highlight moment of the year no doubt. Also, sure, why not. Tongue.gif ~ Kempy “YaketyYak” | ◆◆◆ | CAPD | 00:46, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
Since the pro-active part of the overall new March of the Dead was driven by the zombie side, I would file it under zombie moment. Particular smaller events within that scope driven by survivors might fall under survivor event. -- Spiderzed 01:24, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
So the original march would be a zombie moment but the survivor rally/comeback amd C.R.A.P. campaign would be a survivor moment? Good to know. I presume you will post when you are ready to take nominations? --Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
Nominations have been open for 1.5 hours now. I just don't want to be the first, since I already judge. I'd first like to see what other people consider as noteworthy without influencing them. -- Spiderzed 01:38, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
There you go. Now you have some nominations, so by all means, have at. --Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
I will hold back for the first few days at least. -- Spiderzed 02:21, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
Is the format of these OK?--Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Tuesday, 1 November 2011
# blablah --~~~~ does fine. -- Spiderzed 02:41, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Newcomer Awards

After last year's discussion about Natasha Fatale and the good points DDR brought up, I have decided to set the time range from 12 to 18 months. Original proposal was 15 months - I just added 3 months to make up for the fact that this year's MMA will be about 3 months later. -- Spiderzed 16:45, 27 October 2011 (BST)
