When pitted against incredible odds

I took a stroll through Molebank today, our once peaceful and prosperous suburb is now a zombie infested stinking hell hole. Whatever defence we had in place, whatever provision we took, it did not work. What could we, but a few survivors do in the face of such numbers? It appears as though we have failed my bretheran, the revive point is now a large congregation of 50+ standing zombies with no skills viable to them in the afterlife. It sickened me to stand there among them, with them I knew the agony, the suffering they now feel. My fellow Knight Yukon Corneelious, has been dead for over 5 days now, wretched and rotting, standing there in the middle of Shenton Crescent, just waiting for his misery to end. Well my fellow bretheran, I say this! NO MORE. No, more will I watch those who fight so valiantly and fall, just rot away whatever sense of decentcy they once had. We need to enact measures that insure our fallen hero's see the light of day soon, before they fall even deeper into the sway of the abyss, that dark shadowy translucent vision of afterlife they now endure. How horrible this damn nation is, I will not stand idly by and do nothing, for I John Rhames a Cleric and holy preecher for our once great and prosperous people will do everything within my power to bring light to the encroaching darkness of Molebank . I will fight a style of guerilla warefare like none other. The CotR will know our faces, they will know our whips of righteousnous as they feel the tender stings upon their backs. Hence forth I will march hand and hand with my fellow suriviors with a syringe in my left hand and a shotgun in my right. Fear not evil nor the death that awaits you, may your spirit be strong, help your fellow man in his time of need. - John Rhames 23:07, 29 Dec 2005 (GMT)

A Message from the Undead

A salute and sincere respect to the fallen in Molebank - we have had more enjoyment out of our rampage through your fine suburb than anything else in recent memory, and appreciate greatly the quality of conflict we've had here. Too many groups (ones with triple your numbers) talk a big game and then run like cowards when a Horde shows up, but you all are hardcore heroes to the end - The Knights of St. Jude and the MCV are a credit to the human race. The PKing of John Rhames

  • They made a martyr out of me. I was recently pk'd by http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=135832 while trying to spread the word of our desperate cause, I had already summoned a couple of survivors to our cause, before my tragic end. This was no random act, He wanted me dead. I had 60hp with a FLAK jacket on, he took 6 shotgun blasts to my gut and 3 pistol shots to my head, before I fell. Now I must begin the long and agonizing process of rejoining the world of the living, my spirit is strong and I will resist the ways of the dead for as long as I possible can, oh god its horrible I can feel my skin rotting, it's horrible the PAIN, THE PAIN! Please if anyone can revive me, i'll be making my way to shenton crescent ASAP it will take atleast a full day to get there, especially in my condition. Here's my contact http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=280520 - John Rhames 20:06, 27 Dec 2005 (GMT)

The Thermopylaean Defence.

  • The KoSJ are always suffering. Vows of chastity and poverty don't come without a price. Compared to celibacy, your zombie apocalypse is a walk in the park. I'm also rather cynical, so don't take what I said as critism. I just love to point of the bad side of things. Look on the bright side, I've been targeted by the Minions of the Apocalypse, so you probably won't have to put up with my bad humour for long.
  • Gentlemen and Carrion eaters. Please let me explain myself. Firstly, Jonny. The name was initally proposed by Dolphin, though I and Quacki also thought it had merit. He suggested it for a number of reasons. The 300 Spartans managed to hold off an army so vast "...that it drank rivers dry" Herodouts. We are vastly outnumbered. The combined forces of the MotA and the CotR are around 120-30. However, dispite what the CotR planning room says, neither the MCV nor the KosJ have turned tail. We accept that death awaits, revivication and more death. I personally know of 7 MCV personnel who have fallen in this campaign, some multiple times (mainly due to MotA). I am sure that the KoSJ have also suffered heavily.

The Spartans did fall but from the ashes of their defeat arose a force that finally succeeded. Indeed, this is what I took John's comments to mean. Celtic history is also replete with examples of the same fate. We are also sacrificing - not for Greece or Ireland or Scotland but for the greater good of Molebank. How about, The Thermoplaean Defence - The birth of the Phoneix. Or I am open to suggestions.

Fullmetaled: It was a suicide mission. They all died. From their death, strength was born which lead to the defeat of the Persians through a League of like minded individuals. The Phoneix, refers to 1916 Ireland. Another battle in which martyrdom and death also led to victory. I hope that residents of Molebank will also feel likewise and a league will also be born.

Baldbantam: Molebank belongs to whoever is willing to sacrifice the most for it. The MCV, KoSJ and the inhabitants are going nowhere. If you tarry, you will be killed... repeatedly. (Well said, well said my friend) --John Rhames 20:24, 26 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Now gentlemen, and bundles of rotting flesh. If you don't mind, I will leave this up for a few more days to arouse some interest in the matter. After this, I propose moving it to the talk page. I suggest that a page be created dealing with the events from multiple perspectives. I further suggest that the name of the page should be neutral something like Molebank Christmas Attacks. The links from your individual group pages, however, can be called whatever your group deems fit. After all it was your group's attack or defence.

In the Molebank Christmas Attacks page, we should section it by group. This, after all, will be your group's history of how your group saw the event. I would suggest that all parties tolerate the opinions of other groups and only edit their own section. In this way, it would be a multiple perspectives collaboration and we could attempt to avoid edit wars.

If we are all in agreement, I will make the link and we can all get started. Molebank Christmas Attacks. --Celt Mac ireann 18:30, 26 Dec 2005 (GMT)

  • You know, Brother Rhames' words would have more weight if he were even IN Molebank these days. Also, with respect to Celt, there's not way I'm sacrificing my life just so some snooty Athenians can evacuate their city and force a naval battle with the Persian Empire. Or am I taking this too literally? In regards to the comment below, the defenders at Thermopylae were killed to the last man. Maybe we can invoke the memory of a more successful battle? There are plenty of good Scottish ones. --Jonny America
  • Umm, As I recall it was a success, the whole point wass to hold off as long as possible. Same thing as the Alamo, "Hold off the attacker long enopugh to stall them so a larger and more formiddable army can be made and brought in." theory. - --Fullemtaled 15:16, 26 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • You will re-take nothing. This suburb belongs to the glory of Sweet Zombie Jesus for as long as He wishes to hold it, and His Unholy Mass will be performed in St Judes at His pleasure. Eventually you will join us in His worship. And the defence of Thermopylae was not exactly a roaring success for the defenders, as I recall my Greek history. - baldbantamfire for COTR
  • From this day forth, lets these dark hours be known as The Thermoplaean Defence. Stories shall be told to frighten children in their beds and songs sung of valiant deeds in all the pubs in the realm.--Celt Mac ireann 18:09, 25 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • Harken onto the words spoken by the cleric John Rhames for surely he be the vessel througth which the Saint doth speaketh. Brothers, we shall not falter. We shall steeleth ourselves for the dark times that lie ahead. *Starts singing tunelessly* Onward Molebank survivours... marching into war. Zombies to the left of us. Zombies to the right of us. Ask not what your suburb can do for you. Ask what you can do for your suburb.--Celt Mac ireann 16:07, 25 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • Fear not my brothers, for this is not the time to despair, Christmas isn't about the end, its about the beginning, the birth of something magical and holy. This will be the re-birth of our fleating strength, we will keep fighting even harder than before. Come the new year I swear that we will retake Molebank! - John Rhames 13:18, 25 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • Felix General has also fallen. There will be tears shed this Christmas.--Celt Mac ireann 06:05, 25 Dec 2005 (GMT)

- *WE are the reinforcements? Alright St. Jude, time to start delivering on the Patron Saint of Desperate Causes business. This lovely Christmas Eve has seen both fire stations, the phone mast factory, Blockwood Auto Repair, and most sadly of all, the Cathedral overrun. Merry Christmas everyone! Mass will be held in St. Jude's in the morning. Bring protection. --Jonny America 00:16, 25 Dec 2005 (GMT)

  • Aren't YOU the calvary? Oh Holy Mother! Keep killing, barricading and dumping. Don't stop 'till you drop and then stand up and ZK the mothers until your revived.--Celt Mac ireann 14:37, 24 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • 10 Zombies in Burrel Way, building loosly barricaded. Scouting has shown factory phone mast (13,46) overrun with 7 zombies inside, and 5 zombies inside Ewins Row Fire Station (15,45) with only few survivors left. Is the cavalry coming? --Jonny America 04:38, 24 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • Burrel Way Pd has been Breeched again. 5 zombies inside, unkown bodies and zombies outside. 17:00 23 december 2005 (-8 gmt)
  • All zombies have been killed and dumped. Barricades up to VS. 20 zombies out side with over 40 bodies.
  • Only 5 Zombies inside. Barricades as VS. No survivors inside. --Wronghorn 22:11, 22 Dec 2005 (GMT)
  • 17 zombies inside Burrell Way PD, 13 outside. Body count unknown. Barricades at heavy. Only 4 survivours left inside. 26 at Shenton for a revive. Somebody has oversprayed the graffiti.--Celt Mac ireann 06:08, 22 Dec 2005 (GMT)
