>Server down
>Sorry - the Urban Dead server is currently lurching a bit, either through temporary maintenance or miscellaneous server problems. Normal service should be resumed soon.
>If the server's down for an extended length of time, there should be something about it on the wiki by now.

Can we add in something new? I'm thinking maybe link in the cafepress store since that is something that was probably added in by kevan in 2005's news archive.

The News page has traditionally directly copied content from this page only. I'd be more in favor of just replacing with a different news section, with a different archive, of news curated by wiki members. Bob Moncrief EBDW! 13:50, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
It looks like occasionally, people would insert other news with a bolded "unofficial news". However, I forgot to mention that the shop thing was from this in the 2005 archive:
"October 21
Follow the music - there's now an Urban Dead Mall at Cafepress, if anyone wants an official T-shirt or mug or badge."

I think it's about time the Main Page had a new design refresh. One that promoted, first and foremost, the community, rather than non-existant updates and an intro no one can probably be bothered reading. But, that's probably another discussion for a long-term solution with the fundamental issues with the aged main page. Maybe adding some new third party news to this may be appropriate. Years-old news is embarrassing. THE CENTRAL SCRUTINIZER 07:39, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

So, I missed the "2015 State of the Apocalypse Survey". any chance someone has a print screen of the survey, for a page about the survey? --Wblc (talk) 12:22, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

I haven't, and it wasn't captured by wayback machine. I do remember sections on what suggestions you would add, what flavour changes you would like to see, gameplay changes, what you like best and least... --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:12, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

2013

Since your last turn

  • Morrigan Bronach shot you with a shotgun for 8 damage. (57 minutes ago) ...and again.
  • Morrigan Bronach shot you with a pistol for 4 damage. (57 minutes ago) ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. ...and again. ...and again.
  • Morrigan Bronach hit you with a fire axe for 3 damage. (57 minutes ago)
  • You were killed by Morrigan Bronach. (57 minutes ago)
  • Morrigan Bronach broadcast "All will succumb to the sorrow of war" from here, on 28.00 MHz. (56 minutes ago)

The point here is that I received a message while being a dead body. I can't recall this ever being possible. Am I going crazy? Was there an update... sometime? --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 22:23, 5 August 2013 (BST)

Radio messages were always audible even as a dead body. (Proof) Spoken messages were never. -- Spiderzed 22:58, 5 August 2013 (BST)
...Really? Oh well. I had my hopes up. I guess I just never noticed. Because I am so good at this game and never die. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:00, 5 August 2013 (BST)

Halloween masks

Are the demon (dnmk) and faceless white (smmk) masks new? --xensyriaT 18:39, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

These all seem to be new. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 01:30, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
They've all been used in past years. ~Vsig.png 01:35, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Then I guess not! --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 01:41, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Do you remember if last year the other masks (e.g. zombie, vampire, werewolf etc.) were also available, or if it was just the Guy Fawkes mask (and just the Monster mask the year before)? --xensyriaT 06:48, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I don't know. Let's see if this comment will act as a bump so someone will notice and answer. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 22:53, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
last year only the fawkes mask was available. Likewise monster the year before. To get the whole list (as I have for 3 years) Create a level 1 zombie, as you can pick their clothing from the full list. --Ross Less Ness Enter Stranger... 23:00, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Cheers! Very interesting... I've actually got a nekked zombie running around Malton (at level 45) who can still choose his clothes as if he were a newbie. I tried out each of the masks for headbutt, and once they smashed I could choose from all the clothes again. Didn't manage to check them out in the last few years though, but glad to see it's been done well! --xensyriaT 21:24, 1 November 2012 (UTC) EDIT: 01:44, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Font Change

How do we go about wording this, I wonder? Kevan made an extremely minor edit after I emailed him regarding impostors. He changed the font in a character's profile, the name part. Still an unofficial note, this. How to word it, though? We could always use the reply he sent me stating he changed the font, which can currently be read on the Developing Suggestions page for a similar matter. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 13:31, 27 April 2012 (BST)

Danger Center Launch

If y'all haven't noticed by now, there is a new map on the Suburb Template, a Suburb-sized map that displays individual building status, also if you hover over the map it will display the building's name and status. I've checked all the suburb pages to verify it working in all locations. What do I need to do to get it some coverage on the News Page? -Charles Whipplebotum 19:25, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

I've just took a look at the map, and I think it's amazing! You guys have done an incredible job, and I thank you all for it, as its definitely motivated me to go and update the statuses of whatever buildings I come across, and hopefully it will encourage others to do the same, as they can see their results having an immediate and easily seen effect.
