Hounded to Talk Page

Is it me or has wiki nurdlings gone power mad with this NPOV bullcrap postings *robot* delete - delete - delete - ah but no delete of any pro~zedcrap. So I've posted here my response (which got deleted within seconds) to Niche declaration that it was the Kaish the NT fell to --Jake T Weber 01:34, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

*sigh* Haven't I already gone through this on my talk page? Anyway, the "NPOV bullcrap" is so that players can read the news without being inundated about how much they have been pwned, or so that news is posted, there, not group adverts, discussion on anything that could be interpreted as fact (read, humor.) Group have their own subpages if they want to post anything with bias, the mainspace should ideally be unbiast. Of course, it doesn't always work out that way (Dulston and Ridelybank have bias probelms on their pages,) but we can at least try. Linkthewindow  Talk  04:45, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
This is ridiculous. Making a post in perfectly interpretable zombese(check the zombie lexicon, thx) and then putting the english translation in parenthesis is about as NPOV as it gets. From a zombie perspective, I find it completely offensive that I cannot communicate to my brethren on the NB page with general information updates. Is this the survivor wiki or what? I go out of my way to translate my language to english and thats all you keep. Talk about prejudice. If survivor groups are allowed to post general warnings about danger levels and requests for help then zombies should be allowed to do the same.Niche
You are playing this up somewhat. The news page is for everyone on the wiki, not purely survivors, not purely zombies. Adding zombese clutters the page and is unessesery (as I'm sure all zombie players can speak English.) Linkthewindow  Talk  05:17, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Somewhat.... except this isn't the first time zombie news has been censored from the wiki. Previously I attempted to add building categories of zombie buffets, general requests for more brathas to take back buildings... and it gets cut out. Survivors get to say Hebditch is in trouble, be careful, but help is needed... and it sticks. I suppose because we're different we don't get to have an equal say on the wiki? Is that whats going on? You survivors are all the same.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Niche (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.
"General requests for more zombies" would fall under tactical advice, which is not allowed, for both survivors and zombies (I've had a few posts removed for that, back in the day.) Adding a building category that basically says "survivors are being pwned," is not NPOV. Why not just use the "Under attack" or "In Zombie Hands" headers? Finally, I don't see what's with all this fuss over the survivor bias. It's a wiki, if it has bias (or stuff against the news rules), then remove it. Linkthewindow  Talk  21:24, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Not all survivors agree with this NPOV stuff and enjoyed the propaganda, bias and general colorfulness of what was once was 'our' burb page. Because we live & die in NB we all want to impart important intel with players just passing through or planning to set up their UD home here. For the zeds it is the same and we the Olney Militia support the right for zeds to have their voice heard what ever language they use. Therefore seeing that NPOV is now more important to the powers that be than player's freedom to express themselves, to me Wiki 'Resent News' is now irrelevant, immaterial & soulless drivel.--Jake T Weber 20:35, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Just because not everyone doesn't support something, doesn't mean consensus should be overruled. If you want to change community consensus, go to Talk:Suburb, and let your complaints be heard there. Secondly, this isn't your suburb page. It's everyone's suburb page. As I said previously, if you want to post biased news, then use your group subspace, not the mainspace pages which belong to everyone, and thus should follow the general rules of the wiki-which are very clearly stated at the top of the page. Niche how can you say that it fell to Kaishakunin! What about all the 50 or so non-Kaishakunin rotters out there who joined in plus the pro-zed pkers. It took you long enough to brake in that everyone got bored and went home LOL... but the Olney Militia are here to spoil the bahhah harmbah zombie Yuletide with revives and repairs. Pilgrims I wouldn't agree with that statement 'extremely dangerous' either but that's zombies scare tactics for you ;) --Jake T Weber 01:34, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

You are absolutely correct, Jake. Without that disorganized mob, we definitely wouldn't have been able to accomplish our goal as quickly. They were a big cog in a much bigger plan, and we should give them the proper thanks for their hand in the effort. Keep up the good work all you roamers and chompers! You're the reason this game is fun! --User:Kvsofaking/sig 08:07, 12 December 2008 - aka Steve Vance (sorry, I forgot how to do sigs :[)

cemetary

is it a used revive point, there are several zeds there. Should they keep waiting or should they move to another? Nillocnroh 01:55, 8 April 2008 (BST)

If you want a revive from Olney Militia who cover the cemetery RP then make a request on our forum --Jake T Weber 00:25, 21 June 2008 (BST)

Six revive points in one surburb is a little... uh, crazy... :-/ I can understand the confusion... You guys might want to consider consolidating that a bit... But, anyway -- as a general observation -- as well as posting to active local groups' forums, which yeah is typically the fastest way to get a response, there is also the DEM's Revive Request Tool... --WanYao 18:18, 4 September 2008 (BST)

The Olney Militia reports that the core is under pressure, especially the NT. Despite the constant zed irritation The Olney Militia will endeavour to provide it's citizens with protection & revival service supreme in this 'burb. Pilgrims avoid staying overnight in the core of NB. The Olney Militia is also receiving intelligence that strange zed behaviour is occurring in Bently Auto Repair. These two zeds are driven to ruin and occupy this building with a sit-in, perhaps a past human memory is what drives them? Who knows? If you have acquired shooting skills and need target practise please feel free to remove the 2 zeds that are constantly re-housing themselves here. --Jake T Weber 23:00, 27 August 2008 (BST)

(Take the tactical stuff out, tone down the group propaganda (hey i'm all for a little hype, but keep it in NPOV context, please) and this would probably be just fine...) --WanYao 05:14, 28 August 2008 (BST)

I agree with you but at this point any post is better than no post. It seems like most of the places I've been in so far haven't been updated since January or earlier. --Specialfxlady 23:45, 28 August 2008 (BST)

Jeeze take chill pill ... and lighten up I've put it back on the page because I am a REBEL without a clue on OMG it's propaganda police. Why the hell shouldn't we post stuff on NB when we are here doing things in NB?? Can't we wave the human flag now again without upsetting the zombie nation? Why do you have the says so to disregard what you think is propaganda and what is not... the X111 post for example? Shall I take the time to dispose of your post into the bucket of the Talk page, nope because at least somebody is posting other than the fly-by military yawn post. You wonder why we don't bother with Wiki NB because there is no fun in it to be had and any fun post gets squished by somebody else's rules. This game has taken a serious nose-dive into the realms of micromanagement...yawn --Jake T Weber 01:57, 31 August 2008 (BST)

  • All becomes clearer when I found out that Wan Yo is actually Peter E Jarry of the X111 so there is an X111 agenda going on?.. LOL very good my man but no cigar.Jake T Weber 22:38, 2 September 2008 (BST)

Belated response:

  1. I freely admit that I jumped the gun in removing that post. However, your other recent ramblings have been removed. Appropriately.
  2. I was in North Blythville. Most of the TRPs were ruined and there were many zombies active in the area. The change to red, at the time I made it, was perfectly justified. While I am by no means infallible, I report objectively. Period.
  3. There nothing wrong with a bit of self-promotion thrown into the News -- as long as it does not get out of hand, and as long it's part of an actual story. I do it myself, I support other people doing it. Makes thing interesting... Tactical information, howeveris a different matter. In the future, please refrain from posting tactical stuff and "calls to action" -- i.e., this: "If you have acquired shooting skills and need target practise please feel free to remove the 2 zeds that are constantly re-housing themselves here." That is in clear violation of the wiki's NPOV practices.

'Nuff said. --WanYao 03:35, 3 September 2008 (BST)

'Nuff said'... 'Nuff said'! , 'ramblings' how terribly dare you Peter (you should really sign as Peter so I know to whom I am talking to) Wan Yao then Peter the alt in NB one after the other all terribly confusing.

If you want me to apologise I won't nor change my ways about not adding what you think is 'tactical' when it wasn't. It was meant as pure flavour, remember the opening scenes in Land of the Dead anyone? Wan/Peter you can self promote the zed/cultist cause all you like you won't be getting any drama as I didn't start this. I only ever reply to pro zed rubbish by rhetorically waving the pro survivor flag.

For any survivors who would like to know what is really going on in NB I would suggest you go to Olney Militia to find the link off to our forum. The zeds can come over and request revives here too.

Now it's Nuff said --Jake T Weber 04:39, 4 September 2008 (BST)

For any interested parties this is the deleted part of my original post Wan/Peter refers to "your other recent ramblings have been removed. Appropriately."

Leave this post alone WanYao/Peter E Jarry of the X111 it is not tactical rather a human flavour response to your panic O.M.G a few zeds are here lets change it to code RED saying 'extensive damage' informing the 'burb of a tiny zed group called X111 is news to scare the locals... we prefer the good news and good news here for the humans is that Olney Militia is providing revives despite the zeds being here trashing a few buildings and doing a sit-in. Lighten up it is a game!! --Jake T Weber 01:41, 31 August 2008 (BST)

User:Jack's Cold Sweat Purposefully lies here on North Blythville wiki towards the defamation of Team Zombie Hardcore, calling us a hostile group and claiming TZH to be PKers. We are not. Jack's Cold Sweat is a member of the Griefer/PKer group Malton Skeet Club, who do not possess a wiki page. This group declared war on TZH through their actions, and creation of a racist zerg character: Wee Penis. Team Zombie Hardcore began the execution of the MSC members for their actions as a group. MSC refused to declare war openly on Brainstock, and they continued to collect report kills by TZH as PK's. This was a FALSE classification, and those reports are currently being reversed by RG Mods secondary to an ongoing appeal on brainstock. All of this can be seen here:

[1]. The forum is currently locked to outsiders, discussion with a mod concerning proof should be your first step, or evaluate the evidence for yourself. The racist alt that griefs TZH by posing as a TZH member (Kiiro's Wee Penis is NOT a member, seen by his absence on our wiki and my statement). Their past regarding the Brain Rot Revive Clinic in which they griefed a smaller group out of existence, as well as Jack's Cold Sweat's actions here on the North Blythville wiki attempting to defame TZH. Balls to the Whalls everyone. LONG LIVE A FREE NORTH BLYTHVILLE!!!

N.B description

Niche OK I've edited the description on the N.B wiki but have left the paragraph that mentions the groups who live/risen & maintain/destroy N.B. This wasn't directed souly at the Kaish as others before you have used the description to self promote or give a bias view on the entire burbs status.--Jake T Weber 22:14, 6 October 2007 (BST)

Revive Points

Matraves Alley Where is a good place for a revive point? After looking at the RP map and reading the guidelines for designating RPs, I was thinking Matraves Alley at [22,66] would be good. It is two blocks away from the NT building(and close to a second in SBlyth), adjacent to an entrypoint, and close to the hospitals without being right next to a resource building. It is also a 'named' street which makes it easy to identify. Any thoughts? --Raystanwick 13:51, 13 June 2006 (BST)

Sounds like a great location to me! --Gilant talk|DEM 14:29, 14 October 2006 (BST)

Olney Militia run revive points @

  • Male Boulevard 22, 64,
  • Carpark 25, 64

The sacred ground policy is also observed by the O.M @

  • cemetery 27, 63
  • St Barnabas's Church 27, 62

--Jake T Weber 15:07, 2 October 2006 (BST)

Please note that Empson Park is currently tagged as an RP. My character waited there and was then Headshot! Foolishly I only checked the wiki afterwards, but I wonder how many other people this has happened to? The guy who killed me obviously either didn't know it was an RP, knew it wasn't active, or is a cheap so-and-so. Hope this doesn't continue: need to go back to Marven Mall to help!--CornishLizard 13:18, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

North Blythville Discussion

Udbanner.jpg Days of our Revives
Warning: The "D" stands for Drama. Er, I mean, There be drama here. Chances are at least one member of at least one of the groups involved is doing this for his her their own twisted pleasure. You have been warned.

If you had characters banned for zerging, then how is it we lied when we said you had characters banned for zerging? And as far as Dual Nature goes, you guys don't give anyone a chance to spend AP as a survivor before you murder them. If by definition we act differently as survivors and zombies, but we never get to act as survivors because you're judging us for our actions as zombies... then how could you ever know if we do anything differently? I really don't feel the *need* to prove anything to you anyway, just keep wasting bullets on us when we're alive. We could be helping, but tearing down barricades as zombies is good with me too. And who's the nub? I know Steve's been playing since a month after the game went live. I've only been gaming for about a year I guess. And you're the "NUB" who got banned. Christ, what is a NUB anyway? Did you mean newbie? English "FTW"! Oh and dude, TZH has stated pretty clearly they kicked you out and actually helped to get you banned. Spin that however you want, I'm just quoting them, not making it up as I go.--Niche

First off NUBS. I'm not in TZH anymore. And I was not KICKED OUT of TZH. I left lol. Too funny... second off, I had like ONE character get banned. Keep on with the lies though bro. As for your 'Dual Nature' policy, man GTFO. You guys are so full of it it's funny as hell to watch you keep claiming that crap lol... Steve, Niche, just keep up your lies and have fun. Don't let me catch you, because I WILL kill you. Whichever one of your 'dual natures(LOL)' you're in. KKthxbai! -Calvin

For starters, I'd like for my name to be removed from the supposedly impartial main page. It states very clearly at the top that the main page is supposed to be neutral. Stop slandering me. I've never PKd. I have spied. I'll admit that. But it was a LONG time ago. I don't know what kind of fantasy world you TZH people live in, but it must be fun in there, because you refuse to leave it. I'm not even IN North Blythville anymore. So kindly remove me from your unintelligent propaganda. For second, when was the last time you guys used fair judgment? I happen to know that one of the guys you mercilessly gunned down was, in plain sight, aiding Dear St PD. He is low level, so he couldn't do much, but he reported what was going in in the PD regularly to adjacent buildings. He also was not in the building before it fell. He was next door. Playing Dual Nature as it should be played. Please, for the love of all that's holy, stop watching Lifetime. Your estrogen levels are too high. The drama must end. Get over yourselves and let your nuggets drop. Your world will make much more sense when they do. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Steve Vance (talkcontribs) . 20:50, 8 August 2007 (BST)

The reason I know where all the nice dining places for zombies are IS BECAUSE THEY'RE RESOURCE BUILDINGS YOU FEEB! You pitch a completely non-sequitor argument everytime.

"There's zombies in the Police Department." --RandomGuy

Bang bang, someone gets PK'd by Ungrateful Dead member.

"Well thats because there's spies inside telling the zombies they should break into the resource buildings!!! What is wrong with everyone? Don't you see zombies have to have spies to be effective?!?! How could a zombie ever figure out they should break into Police Departments to keep from getting shot, or break into Hospitals to keep survivors hurt, or break into NT buildings to keep survivors from getting revived? No one could be that intelligent without a spy! And how would a zombie ever know to break into a building spraypainted 'Charlie Squad HQ inside, stand outside for headshots!' without a spy telling them to?"--CalvinTheAxe

Seriously, just because you keep repeating it doesn't make it true. And with all these zerg accusations, where's your character anyway? That's right Mr.IGotBannedByKevanBecauseI'mInFactTheZergingWhoooooooooooooooore. Go spin your stories elsewhere. --Niche

Niche, the reason you know where all the nice dining places are for zombies, is because you're a dirty zombie spy and you try to hide behind your 'Dual Nature' policy, which is total crap, and you know it. You should try to be real, instead of fake, people would take you alot more serious. Here is 25c, go buy a clue. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Calvintheaxe (talkcontribs) 11:19, August 7, 2007.

-(out of character for a moment) Ok guys, seriously. The wiki is supposed to be neutral and impartial. But the only things allowed to stay there are for survivor usage. How is that fair OR neutral? I put an edit in for roaming zombies who come through the neighborhood on which ones are buffets so they know where to stop for a quick bite while passing through, and it gets edited out. That makes sense for survivors, but its not fair to zombies. We really need a "food" resource section for zombies.

Either way, I wanted to formally note this complaint here because I intend to edit it back in. Zombies are 50% of the game and editing out zombie information is bigoted. --Niche 11:03, 30 July 2007

I beg to differ. The problem isn't that you're putting in information you believe is useful for zombies, it's where you insist on putting that information. The TRP block isn't the place for that, owing to the impermanency of your information versus the permanency of the location of TRPs, among other possible reasons.
This isn't about some perceived anti-zombie bigotry. Frankly, that information is of just as much use to survivors as well as zombies, since it tells them which buildings to avoid. Want to keep track of zombie buffets? No problem. Put it in news where it belongs, or create a whole new "Zombie Dining" section. But it doesn't belong in the TRP block. -- Atticus Rex mfu pif Δ 17:34, 31 July 2007 (BST)
I tried to create a new section, but I lack the skills to do so within the structure of the page. And I do understand why you removed it. I thought a buffet section in the TRP Block would be great, just gotta keep it up.--Niche 14:32, 3 August 2007 (CST)

-Team Strike Force has entered the land of hardcoreness. We are lower in level but we max hate zombies. We should be organized within the day to take part in the zombie wipe of '07. Balls to the Whalls!! --Duke cage 05:30, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

-Formation of the North Blythvillian Council of Executors: Big Nixon of Team Zombie Hardcore wishes to propose the formation of a loose alliance of groups within North Blythville in the way of formation of a Council of Executors. Invitations are extended to Robot Clean of the Drifters, Jake T Weber and Short Timer of the Olney Militia, and Big Nixon and Mark Whalberg of TZH. Other groups, either promininent civilian parties or unrepresented groups are encourgaed, along with the gentlemen invited above, to email Big Nixon regarding this matter. TigerStripedDog@gmail.com.

--Tiger Striped Dog 04:48, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

This suburb has an excellent complement of buildings with 4 Hospitals, 3 Police Departments, 2 Factories, 4 Autorepairs, and an NT office. All of the buildings touch(with a single exception), making it possible to freerun through the entire 'burb. The nearest mall is Marven Mall in South Blythville. --Raystanwick 11:39, 5 June 2006 (BST)

The Olney Militia have been maintaining these buildings as V.S entry points and non-free runner safe houses

  • NE=the Travers Building [26, 63]
  • NW=the Fear Building [22, 63]
  • SE=Knowles Cinema[27, 66]
  • SW=the Anglin Arms [22, 67]
  • S= the Rugg Building [24, 68]

--Jake T Weber 15:53, 2 October 2006 (BST)

As a new character that just came through North Blythville, I've got to say that your suburb is a death trap for anyone without free running. Which is why you see so many zombies scrambling too the revive points. I think you should revise your barricade plan. -- Papilon Oct 8th

We were all new once Papilon and yes it does seem to a be an iron curtain you face when you first arrive a new 'burb! Would you care to elaborate with a better plan? We have to way up N-F wants with survivors needs for EHB safe. As we see it Non-free runners have access to all major buildings for searches in the N,S,E,W of N.B we can not afford to lower the cades on any other buildings of worth due to the fact there is no mall. We could lower cades in other buildings but most survivors just up them. Them is the brakes! --Jake T Weber 18:29, 10 October 2006 (BST)

I think I mis-spoke in my first comment; the plan is not the problem, its the implementation. Several of the buildings listed as enterable are not. The one thing I would personally would change in the plan would be to make the NT building enterable. This would provide a safe point in the center of town, and would be easily defendable from the surounding buildings. The biggest problem with the implmentation is that the Hospitals are not enterable (at least the ones I tried), this just manufactures zombies.
-- Papilon 22:30, 10 October 2006 (BST)

Yes most buildings never stay the same as the 'ideal' map above as we are dealing with Zeds and returning Big Bash survivors who don't want or know about the barricade plan in progress!! Sorry Papilon but no way is the NT building going to be kept at VS as it is the only one in NB and it is the focus of many zed attacks. But you should be able to enter one or more hospitals N S but expect them to be under attack or trashed. Central NB is locked down. Your best bet to survive is to find a lower level non-discript buildings that are usually kept @ V.S on the map and make it your over night base. Good luck my friend and get that Free-Running soon.--Jake T Weber 16:14, 11 October 2006 (BST)

Upon further, unbiased review, Team Zombie Hardcore endorses and applauds Olney and Jake T Weber for the barricade plan. While TZH will not be making the plan a top priority, we do recognize the utility of said plan and wish Olney Militia happy hunting, and good luck with the mission. --Tiger Striped Dog 00:52, 24 October 2006 (BST)

I agree that the plans implementation is bad- I was the only one trying to keep any of the marked VSB building enterable, and I stopped playing for some time. If I try again, I'll focus on one very small area(like 2-4 buildings) instead of everything in the plan above.

And no, the NT should not be VSB; it's the only one in the burb and newbs don't need NTs anyway.

Newbs need non-resource Safehouses, Hospitals, and PDs. And freerunning! Even if NB had just 1 of each, AND posted their locations here, it would help new players. Shoot, if they're reliable the comp might even start spawning new survivors in the 'burb.

Yeh, a 'Rescue Station' may be a good way to attract new players- and possibly new recruits. --Raystanwick 08:38, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

ZOMG zombie spie!1eleven

It seems like the residents of North Blythville could benefit from the use of so-called "spies." Their own intel is incorrect regarding the groups currently stomping the suburb flat.
And FYI, if it says "Gore Corps" in the profile, it's generally understood that you're dealing with death cultists in the RRF, not survivor spies. *insert eyeroll here* --Goolina Gore Corps 22:19, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

MOB are likely to destroy this suburb

Taking the example of Mockridge Heights and Brooksville, unless things can be stopped here and now by inredible amounts of survivors and miraculous tactics, this suburb will fall and after this, the MOB will bring down most of the south-west corner of Malton with ease as most of these areas are safe zones and therefore probably unprepared.
