RESCUE! - Revive, Entry, Sanctuary- Churches are Useful, Everybody!

I've created a new page outlining the flaws of the SGP and a better alternative. SGP has a juggernaught of support, but its not the best way to do things, and should be reversed if possible. RESCUE! is a better alternative, and the idea has a demonstrated track record in places like Yagoton. --S.Wiers X:00x-mas tree dead pool 01:45, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

I've posted a thread on our forum about it if you want to go watch and offer comments while we discus officially supporting this policy. I'd also suggest you check out our Reviivification tool and consider recommending it as part of the policy. It helps to get past that whole brain rot problem. --Gilant 03:07, 26 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Hey, thanks very much! Will do. -- Amazing 03:12, 26 Jan 2006 (GMT)

I created a template for the Wiki Page Tag. This way is a lot more simple to people add it to their profile. --hagnat 01:59, 27 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Woowww, thank you! This cause will go much farther with that help, I'm sure. -- Amazing 03:47, 27 Jan 2006 (GMT)

I dont know where to post this, but perhaps we should make a list of cemetries that people are manned? Or does that defeat the purpose. I just tagged Rolt Hights [80, 16] Cemetery but I have no idea if people already work there or if zombies there wanted to be revived. It would make sense to show which cemeteries are manned and which are not, especially since this Policy is not massively accepted into the game yet. Just some ideas.... -- voota's militia 18 March 2006

Is it alright if I kill Zeds with Brainrot seeing as they will just waste Syringes? I want to be revived yet I dont want to be a hypocrite and want the revivification to move more quickly? -- Smithy Jones 14 July 2006

^I just wanted to re-ask this question, but from a survivor perspecitve. Should a jammer be killed in a cemetary or church? Clearly a rotter isn't looking for a revive, but since it is classified as a no kill zone it makes it a bit ambiguous. --Tapiester 23:51, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

This just my opinion but,as the zker page says most zking takes place at revive points which can easily escalate into a zombie riot and cause complete choas in a suburb and if all cemeteries become revive points a zed can easily start one and the same thing can happen if all churches become revive points although both the RESCUE and SGP are helpful to people who want to be revived,in fact next chance I get,I'm starting a zking riot to emphasize my point--Gamestriker4 20:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC).

The Special Tactics And Rescue Squad happily support the Sacred Ground Policy. We request info on how we can best assist the effort. -Stephen Wolfe 17:08, 30 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Hi there. Sorry for the delayed responce - turns out I only thought I had this page on my Watchlist.... *cough*.... The best way to help out is the spread the word. You know, inform/remind players in-game about the policy, tag the wiki URL whenever appropriate, and keep alert for a chance to mention it in any UD conversation. Sounds funny, but it works. "Hey Bob, I agree that Revive Points are great. In fact here's a cool policy I found..." etc. etc. Other than that it's as simple as reviving Zombies in Cemeteries and perhaps tagging the ones close to you as "Sacred Ground Policy" revive points. Any other thoughts on the subject are much-welcomed, all. -- Amazing 05:38, 4 Feb 2006 (GMT)
I added my name to the player supporters, hope that's okay. I'll tell people about the policy whenever I get the chance! --Toast Boy 08:44, 7 Feb 2006 (GMT)
Yeah that's great. Much obliged! -- Amazing 19:07, 7 Feb 2006 (GMT)

What about Zombies use these areas an Ad Hoc safe house knowing that they aren't visited frequently?

I know its weird, but I've done this. I think they should double as such to help lower level zombies gain experance without being unneccisarly slaughtered.

I love this idea, but there are some people who killed me and then told me they had a syring, but didn't care... It was in a graveyard with the writing: "Watch out for the five critics"

666 pages linked!

It's both weird and kinda scary at the same time. --Niilomaan 20:41, 31 July 2006 (BST)

Questions

Is this policy currently being followed? Does anyone know for sure? It seems like a great thing for survivors and I'd hate to see it die. I notice it's not updated very much except for people adding their names to the list. -- (GOD) 17:50, 7 August 2006 (BST)

If you are a zombie sitting on some cemetery, I won't shoot you. This policy alone is great, but if you follow this one you'll get revived in no time. --Niilomaan GRR! 21:19, 7 August 2006 (BST)
What about the zombie side of things? I've been browsing around the group wikis, and some of the zombie groups that "support SGP" also support the targeting of newly revivified players in cemeteries. --Forlorad
it would seem that kevin has noted this-cemetaries currently appear green on the map. i wouldn't say it proves anything-just suggests it.--Fractal12 23:27, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Planned revives are better!!--Airborne88T Zom MIS 02:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm going to re-order the lists of user and groups so they are in date order as it seems they should have been originally. I'll put a little not at the top about putting them in date order and if anyone has any objections then let me know. Pillsy Hunt! FC! 12:23, 19 September 2006 (BST)

  • I have done so now, it would be nice if people can keep it that way. Cheers.
Thanks... I never got myself to do it. --Niilomaan GRR!M! 13:14, 19 September 2006 (BST)

Wasn't sure where else to post this, want to list my group under the supporters but it says I'm not a registered user? --Zhekarius CFT 00:40, 19 August 2011 (BST)

I answered this on Zhekarius' talk page -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 00:49, 19 August 2011 (BST)

SGP Volunteers

(Moved from main page)

We are lookng to create a loosely knit group of players willing to keep track of the SGP in-game and to spread the word. Currently in the naming stage. Maybe something like... "The Sacred Ground Policy's Sacred Policy Groundkeepers."... Or not. :)

I'll going if you can abbriviate the name... like SGP Groundkeepers :D. --Swmono talk - W! - SGP

How about just "The Groundkeepers"? Ytookay 02:59, 1 June 2006 (BST)

That sounds about right to me. Short and sweet. I wonder if a new page should be created, or if it should be within the space of the SGP. -- Amazing 03:04, 1 June 2006 (BST)
Perhaps a separate page, linked from here, but subdivided into districts - Muppetlord 14:05, 5th June 2006
- ....only because it may look crowded on here. Unless there is some way of having a sub-directory on this page. --Muppetlord 22:14, 7 June 2006 (BST)

Lists begone

I've removed the long and spammy lists from this page. They add absolutely nothing to the article other than an annoyingly long scroll. Troika 00:19, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

It's not a generic list there to categorise, it's a record of user signatures that establish the age and acceptance of one of the longest running meta-game policies in this entire game. The entire policy is contained at the top of the page, requiring no user to scroll anywhere unless they want to peruse the history of the policy. Signatures restored. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 00:32, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
