- The blackmore building is ritualistically taken by humans every so often. Last instance I bothered to watch they were happy to hold it for five HOURS from mostly unorganized ferals/babahs. On Conquering Ackland Mall
Far be it from me to argue with the largest zombie group in the game (if not necessarily the most classy), but to list Ackland Mall in the conquest page is like a virtual slap to the face of both survivor AND zombie groups that have fought there. The Dead have nothing to be proud about in this attack...they struck out at a Mall that had scarcely been recovered (Ackland had been back in operation for a week or less at the time that The Dead hit it). The Acklanders might be made of stern stuff (they are the only group to have ever been saLUEted by the game's masters), but they aren't THAT stern. The numbers told the tale...hundreds of zombies versus twenty survivors in one quad. Defeating Ackland Mall under such circumstances was like kicking the ass of a little old lady with a broken hip. - Just out of curiosity, have you wondered precisely why The Dead have accrued such a reputation of late? And have you noticed it isn't necessarily a good one? It's because of stuff like this. There are even zombie players who are impressed with the string of victories, but not necessarily the behavior that follows each one. Like it or not, The Dead are busy acquiring a reputation for ruthless efficiency AND unclassiness. The first is highly desirable. The second, not so much. My respect has to be earned, and so far The Dead have not earned it despite the fact that they've caused destruction on a scale that I have never before seen. Do I hope that will change? And it ain't just my opinion...the empirical evidence is on my side, too. Can you guys name a single mall siege that you have conducted that hasn't ended with the survivors losing? As a matter of fact, can you recall any siege in the past three months that ended in a survivor victory? It ain't because the survivors are retards. Well, some of them are. But certainly not all of them. I'm not a "whiner" for suggesting that in an effort to balance the population between survivor and zombie that the game has become almost impossible for survivors to win. Tarumigan

- You want an opinion? Here's one. The Dead are a phalanx of pathetic, petulant children. I have played the game since 2005, and I have NEVER seen poorer sportsmanship, more arrogance, or weaker comebacks from any group I have ever encountered in the game, survivor or zombie...and I've seen plenty of groups, believe you me. It's not enough for The Dead to win...they have to grind your face into that fact, and everything they do...from what they say, to the way they "edit" Mall page logos, to the vandalism of my own personal userpage....is calculated to have that effect. Other zombie groups have achieved just as much destruction but they've done it in ways that haven't stirred up the type of resentment you people have. LUE remains the example of a powerful and yet highly classy zombie horde. I was always under the impression that Urban Dead was just a game, but The Dead have elevated it to something else.
