Description

One of the wards has been decorated with a stuffed alligator, a conceptual sculpture, two stuffed monkeys, two stuffed crocodiles, two stuffed bears, a stuffed tiger head and a stuffed fish.

Barricades

Tarasius General is maintained as a Very Strongly Barricaded (VSB) entry point, as per the Uniform Barricading Policy of greater Malton. Please see the Lerwill Heights Barricade Plan for greater detail.

Zombie Barricade Plan

This building should not be barricaded and instead Ruined in accordance with The Dead Barricade Plan set forth by local zombies, who routinely monitor the barricade level for this building. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran zombies. Zombies who find the building's barricades above their assigned level are asked to assist in lowering them in order to help ensure the safety of all the zombies inside the building. Any survivor found raising the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any zombies present at that time. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a human sympathizer and be judged accordingly.

Revives

Revives are to be had at next door Bragg Park [30,60] under the big redwood tree. The site is regularly patrolled by members of Squadron1111.

Current Status

Please see more information at the Building Information Center/Lerwill Heights.

Tarasius General Hospital operates a transmitter and broadcasts updates and status requests on 27.77. This same frequency is used by the Herbert Road Police Department [28,62], located in the adjacent suburb of North Blythville just a few blocks south of Tarasius General.

This hospital is currently under the governance of Squadron1111.

History

Doors and windows are maintained at VSB inside Tarasius General Hospital

Constructed in 1904, this psychiatric hospital was originally named Strangelove Asylum for the Socially Inept. However, after the Riot of '73, the current staff received an influx of fleeing Tarasius sympathizers who admitted themselves to escape Captain Farewell's crackdown. They eventually lost their sanity. Over the years, as patients either got better or died from the standard electro-shock therapy, these sympathizers were all that remained. Having won the staff lottery of '87, Agnes Crumple decided to forgo her prize in an effort to rename the hospital, claiming due to its change in circumstances the facility didn't deserve to be associated with that nasty film with the Nazi any longer. After a year's effort, she succeeded and a commemorative plaque was erected. She was later found having an affair with one of the patients and fired. After finding work in a Clinic in Spicer Hills, she repeated her efforts, but was found dead in an inmate's cell a year later.

Before the The Outbreak, Tarasius General was one of Malton's leading centres on paranoid schizophrenia and anti-social rudeness (ASR). With a staff of twelve and housing roughly thirty, the hospital was one of the smaller institutes catering to Malton's mentally unwell, but it was well equipped. Its unofficial sister-clinic in Spicer Hills is notably larger, but is without a delightful koi pond in the garden.

As of March 30, 2009, after a prolonged war with a group of hardened rotters let by Kyle the Punked, Squadron1111 took over the hospital and declared it the 1111 Field Hospital and Zombie Research Centre. Since that time the hospital has been serving the survivors of Lerwill Heights. During the majority of this time the hospital has been VSB in order to allow low level players access to a safe haven and First Aid Kits to gain Experience Points (XP). Thrice the hospital has fallen to massive zombie hordes of 25+, but has been quickly rebuilt by Squadron1111, their allies and concerned citizens. The mission remains clear, to maintain this field hospital at VSB in the middle of a war zone; to provide aid to the weak and comfort to the wounded. 1111 is watching...
