Since these are no longer just "Community Projects", they include events or just updates, should we change the name to something more fitting? Maybe Community Updates? Will do the necessary moving, relinking, if so. -- 07:48, 30 August 2010 (BST)

The guideline page indicates that community projects may be posted here. I have such a project HERE that is designed to benifit the comunity. In past though, I have gotten myself in trouble for posting things that tie too directly to a group on wiki pages designed to be neutral. This tool can be used by anyone and is more helpful to all the more it is used. However, it was created by and linked to a group that I am in. Would it be against the guidelines to post it here? If so, what alterations can be made to the page or the location of the page to remove this objection?-- 04:19, 15 May 2011 (BST)

:Omnimapis, I think, an already existing version of what you're going for. Don't remember if it's bot only though. Might have to make you a code for the SIM it's been a while since I've added anyone but I could see taking a few minutes to figure out again if there's interest. --<small>Karek<font face="Monotype Corsiva">maps 2.0?!</font></small> 07:50, 15 May 2011 (BST)

I would like to advise the community that The Big Prick is seeking a new leader, and anybody from the general population can be nominated.  Would that be appropriate here or not?  Asheets 17:58, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

::Took the entry out...  Ran for 6 weeks and got 0 applications.  I guess it is time to let the group go inactive for a bit.  Asheets 16:38, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Why isn't UDWiki:Project Timeline on this list? -- 00:17, 6 October 2012 (BST)
OUT
:It got purged along with other inactive projects. I'd like to see it put back on and brought back to life but then again I'm biased. I was the last to update it and that was weeks ago. ~ 01:15, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
OUT
::Yeah, I cleaned out the list of inactive projects, and Project Timeline was one of them. You guys are welcome to re-add it if you'll be active, however. I was just doing some housekeeping. 08:12, 6 October 2012 (BST)
OUT
:::The project has entered the fact finding and documenting stage, which is admittedly takes the most work. I'll start bugging people about it on IRC again and see if I can't drum up more editors. I consider that advertising, and removed just that part... 20:50, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
OUT
:Advertising for events is perfectly fine. Advertising for groups is what is not allowed. 20:57, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

::I'd like to point out that you're targetting a specific group of people, which creates another group in itself... 21:04, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
OUT
::EDIT: Your modifications made it a bit more POV, disregard the above. 21:09, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
OUT
:::Yeah, I removed "catastrophic" since I thought it was (though accurate :P) a bit of a charged word, and I rephrased the traitorous accusations as beliefs, rather than statements of fact. As for groups, I get what you mean, but that logic cuts both ways, since you could argue that virtually any event or cause listed here is for a group of people who want to pursue that cause or join in on that event. And we've never had issues with that in the past, even ones aimed at other groups. In fact, one of the very first events in this page's history was for an "Anti-Big Bash" event in Ridleybank, ironically. ;) 21:26, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
OUT
::::What Aichon said. Community Projects are generally about events pushed forward by groups, which in turn are more in favour of a particular play-style than another and often aimed against the goals of other groups. Truly neutral events like the Malton Beauty Pageant are extremely rare. Just let it slide. --<span style="font-family:monospace; background-color:#222222"><span style="color:Lime"> Spiderzed</span><span style="color:Lime">█ </span></span> 21:34, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

:::::It was just the very negative connotation in his first wording that I found a bit unfit for the section :) I also never said that it should be completely removed; Order 66 is a great event with an awesome theme and a well-founded cause ^^ 21:45, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

::::::::Johnny, now is the time.  I started as a survivor too.  I bought my first combat skill immediately before joining a PKer group.  Kirsty's first kill of any kind was a survivor.  Why?  Because I couldn't stand how stupid survivors were.  Defect, you seem smarter than those "survivors."  I bet you would fit in much better with PKers. And what better way to switch than hunting down your old friends? -- <span style="color: grey">Org XIII</span> <span style="color: blue">Alts</span> 22:13, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

:::::::::I can see how the final bit might be an issue. ::::::::::Yeah, I considered something even more neutral like that, but the problem is that if we don't have the thing about punishing them in there, then there is no statement of purpose at all. 22:55, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

::::::::::I actually have no issue with how it was written. It's tongue in cheek and is in line with the roleplaying of the page they are advertising (which any reader would find out in 30 seconds after clicking on it) 23:44, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

POV statements have never been disallowed from CP and there is no guideline stating things should be NPOV (that would be bad). Perhaps ours was a little over-the-top (though you should have seen the suggestuons I got in IRC last night). This isn't all too important to us, though so I'll allow some less over-the-top yet still POV statement and just be on my way. ~ 23:52, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

:It's roleplaying. It's barely offensive and is completely in-line with the event. I really have no issues with how it's written. 00:06, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
