I want to link the character name directly to their UD profile (which is why the info in the box doesn't duplicate any of it), but first I'm hoping someone more clever than I can figure out how to make the link pink, like in UD. I can do it on a web page, but I haven't quite caught up on the wiki learning curve yet. --otherlleft 01:08, 17 Sep 2005 (BST)

Impossible, as far as I've been able to work out. It wants all links blue as standard, so people can tell they're links. --Katthew 01:15, 17 Sep 2005 (BST)
Gotta dream, I spose. Too bad, the link-blue would be a crappy color contrast, too. Care to suggest or change to another color that preserves the UD feel? --otherlleft 01:23, 17 Sep 2005 (BST)

Like the template. I'm not sure it's really aptly named. I'd have thought 'bio' or something would reflect it's use a lot more. After all it could be used a lot more widely than just for journals. I think it's got everything I'd want to see up there though. So, happpy to be using it. Thanks.--Perikles 17:29, 17 Sep 2005 (BST)

Thanks. I was amazed to discover that moving to a new name doesn't even require changing the links that pull from the template (although I imagine it's a good idea regardless), so I have no objections to renaming it. --otherlleft 19:44, 17 Sep 2005 (BST)

As you folks following the discussion on the Help:Template talk page know, this template uses a 35% width which maxes it a little impractical to place inside of other tables.

  1. We can either remove the width so that it will resemble the Profile template. However, without a wrapper container to define a width it has the potential to span the entire width of a page given a large enough chunk of text.
  2. We can specify a fixed pixel width. Something in the range of 250px to 300px?
