Should the lines: {} and

Be changed to: {} Lexicon and

I can't see any problems with it, but since this is Lexicon related territory, I'm not going alter the template beyond what I already did. –Xoid STFU! 05:46, 9 May 2006 (BST)

Reasoning was that at the time I wasn't sure whether each Lexicon would use the same naming format. Some might be "Lexicon of Malton" or "Lexicon of the Caiger Mall Siege", which would kinda ruin the whole set-up. This way, we can allow names to be freeform if they sound better that way. -- Odd Starter talkModW! 06:01, 9 May 2006 (BST)
There are three things I want to ask:
 1. Are there any that do not fit the current "naming convention".
 2. Would forcing them to change, really hurt?
 3. Should the line be removed from the template? That will start to really clog up the Lexicon category. Shouldn't the Lexicon category be just for Leixcons, not their entries too? –Xoid STFU! 07:17, 9 May 2006 (BST)
Some responses
 1. Since there's only one currently... No.
 2. Not particularly. I just figured having the option might make things easier later on. Just because we can automate everything doesn't necessarily mean we should, and if people want names that don't fit the pattern, there's no need to rebuild the template to accomodate them. I mean really, if we wanted to we could make a specific template for each Lexicon, but I'm not sure that's really needed.
 3. That's probably a good point.

Alright, point 3 has been addressed. Point 2 would probably be easier to address with the latest version of MediaWiki, default variables, conditions and all that Jazz. That would make it both flexible and save time for those who do stick with the current convention. Without it though, I concede your point. Semi-related note: I'm not one for fan cruft usually, but I've been impressed with most of the the Lexicon entries I've been through so far. –Xoid STFU! 17:20, 10 May 2006 (BST)
