The Angell Building is a Building located near the southeast corner of Scarletwood.

Pre-Outbreak History

The Angell building is a centennial stone building with a long and distinguished history. Origionally constructed as a luxury hotel in the late 1890's, it became the front for one of the largest cocaine smuggling rings in the western hemisphere, run by the ubiquitious chinese crime lord known only as Liang. Large concealed stone vaults in the buildings's cellar have lent the building an air of mystery, and contributed to its rich history of intrigue. In the 1950's, the building was converted into an office building by a pharmacutical company that would later be bought out by Necrotech. While the research conducted within the Angell building was of a much less clandestine nature, the building certainly played host to some of the Necrotech higher ups, and there are dark rumors of suspicious tests conducted in the cold stone chambers beneath the building. The Building is rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of a pair of young lovers, killed during The Fire of Scarletwood in the early 80's. Dispite the sinister nature of the building, it's roomy interior and accomidating design give it a warm, pleasant atmosphere, and area resident Kristi Spring has been quoted as saying that even the building's supernatural inhabitants "Keep to themselves and don't cause trouble, but they tend to get a little rowdy on valentines day."

Post Outbreak History

Following the outbreak in mid-2005, The Angell building sat silent and derelict until it was chosen as the headquarters of the Malton's Angels by Angel and former Angell building employee Hec Scrivener. Since, the Angells have maintained a powered command post in the vicinity, assisting their allies the Garniss Border Patrol in manuvers, and conducting humanitarian aid at the two nearby hospitals. Since its occupation in Late June, the Angell building has not been breached by zombie hands. This, along with its abundance of medical professionals and its proximity to many good natured factions makes it one of the safest buildings in southern Malton.

February 17th, 2007- What first appeared to be a doomed last stand at this once-proud building has turned into another victory for Scarletwood survivors. A team of ten undead have been hammering at the building for days, and several breakins over the course of an evening left all but one survivor dead. A last minute charge by combined forces of the New Malton Colossus and The Garniss Border Patrol haved saved the day yet again.

March 12th, 2007- Following a second sweep of Scarletwood, a yet-unknown zombie horde has finally taken control of the Angell Building. All concerned parties should report to the cemeteries of Scarletwood for re-vivification and a quick comeback.
