The Axworthy Family is the most laughed at family in Stanbury Village. They changed their name in the 1800's because of their love for the Axe. Some of them went on to build fire axes for fire departments. While others created inventions that were shunned.

William Axworthy

In 1838 William Axworthy invented a steam engine that would chop down trees with the axe attached to its pistons. Axworthy was laughed at for such an invention and was shunned until 1938 when they renamed Roadkill Square to Axworthy Square.
