It is functionally equivalent to a street, except that players with the Tagging skill can gain 2 XP for writing graffiti on a monument. This is, game-play wise, an empty block, and cannot be barricaded. After the July 3, 2009 update, some monuments became tall and can be seen from a distance with binoculars

Description

Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing in front of the monument:

"You are at the Binning Monument, an abstract concrete sculpture at the top of a low flight of steps."

Many flowers are planted surrounding the monument, yet all seem dry or dead,there is a small yet ruined gate surrounding the monument with a statue that seems to be vandalized to the point of not seeing the statues details at all pigeons seem to have dwelled there in vast numbers. there seems to be a small spot on the statue with something missing from it. The pavement is red with small puddles of blood here and there

Built in 1873 the monument is built in the name of the founder of Maltons wifes cousin Harold Binning. At the time it was a great monument with a statue of Harold and a golden placard with his biography. Until around 1984 the placard mysteriously dissapeared, the statue was spraypainted all over with graffiti and people decided to leave it to the pigeons after they grew tired of washing it. To this day no one knows where the placard is.
