Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Bridgman Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Dulston. Though a faceless corporate structure to the uninitiated, this facility has been overlooked by many as its laboratories were used mostly in the manufacture of syringe casings, but not any research along these lines. While equipped with the capability to manufacture complete revivification syringes, a vital aspect of the fight against the zombie plague during the "Malton Incident", staff at the Bridgman Building often find their assignments at the facility to be boring, and that's saying a lot coming from a group of people that enjoy spending hours on end examining viral growth patterns under a microscope.

NecroTech staff here often work in tangent with research personnel stationed at the Whitlock Building to the southeast, but just as often send scientific staff into Rhodenbank to work at The Starr Building or The Carlyle Building due to common interests in syringe manufacturing research.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, has been known to avoid visiting this building in hopes of never being assigned "syringe manufacturing" duty.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow Directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. They have been charged with governing the Duport Avenue (92,4) revivification zone and seeing to the restoration of life to all zombies located therein.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. Standard protocol dictates that all staff be equipped with a standard issue DNA Extractor to tag any zombies they come across during field research.

Affiliates

To date research staff at the Bridgman Building are working hand-in-hand with survivors located in nearby resource buildings, namely:

  1. Treweeke Mall (92,7 x 93,8)
  2. Oake Walk PD (93,0)
  3. St. Anacletus's Hospital (93,3)

It should also be noted that, due to rotating shifts, NecroTech staff commonly move between the Whitlock Building (92,5), The Wallbutton Building (89,3), The Carlyle Building (89,4) and The Starr Building (89,6).

Barricade Policy

This building must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This barricade level has been set forth in the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram, a strategic barricade policy that is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance. This building's purpose is to serve as an access point for all survivors and a safehouse for inexperienced survivors who do not possess the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade beyond Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege from 5 or more zombies. Note that any survivors associated with the Dulston Alliance have the right to lower the barricades back to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Bridgman Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot). Out of respect for the work of the ELT, Dulston Alliance, and the continued work of Caleb Usher to secure the NE corner, Liberal Pi and his associate Ottari issue Necronet reports from this building as an early warning system to survivors dwelling in the safest corner of Malton.

Current Events

November 20th, 2009 - The D.I.T.P.S recently recaptured the building and Heavily (HB) barricaded it. However the facility was unpowered and empty, save for Rotten Ray. --Mobius

January 1st, 2009 - Some zombies outside, but EHB and lit. --Espina 23:51, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

December 23rd, 2008 - The Bridgeman building has fallen again, thanks in no small part of the efforts of the Infected Swarm. Despite other people's insistances, we are not dead. --justazombie Dec. 23rd 08 11:51 PM (MST)

Update: Noted NecroTech scientist Caleb Usher commented, "Well, I suppose the possibility exists that Infected Swarm might simply have fewer then 10 active members, and as such, that would explain why they no longer register as a "Confirmed Group". Since the Alliance wouldn't be able to determine by any other means how active these zombies are, then yes, I suppose it is possible 1-9 zombies are still active in the area. Still, I remember the olden days, you know, when Infected Swarm had more than 10 active members. Ah, those were the days. Well, actually I don't remember them that fondly."

December 18th, 2008 - External Military Radio reported that the facility had fallen. Other than this brief report there was no further news.

December 17th, 2008 - The facility was Extremely Heavily barricaded and powered. Survivors searching for syringes are encouraged to drop on by.

December 14th, 2008 - Major Azzhole of Metal Fox reported, "Just saw my first Infected Swarm member actually do something! He broke into the Bridgman. We're back to EHB and he's been revived and dumped. He didn't have that many good survivor skills though, so probably won't haunt us too much now that he's alive."

Update: The Dulston Alliance would like to take a moment to remind the people of Dulston that, much like the elusive Sasquatch, Jackalope, or even the Polkaroo, the "Infected Swarm" member is in fact just an urban legend these days. Scientific facts have proven they don't exist anymore, having been hunted into extinction by members of the Alliance several months ago. In ways, the Alliance regrets the near total genocide of the Infected Swarm... what with the way they were always trying to...you know, "do things". I mean, effectively. But jokes aside, these zombies had their fun, became bored, and now they're gone. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking they'll be back. No siree.

December 13th, 2008 - Major Azzhole of Metal Fox reported that zombies were definitely knocking on their door, but every effort was being made to keep the barricades up. The facility was still Extremely Heavily barricaded and powered.

Update: Rotten Ray of the D.I.T.P.S reported a break-in at the Bridgman Building. At this time 3 zombies had managed to get inside and were attacking survivors. They were Mrhing... but like that was going to fool anyone.
Update: Espina of FOXHOUND arrived to kill one of the zombies and dump its corpse. The building was Lightly barricaded.
Update: Major Azzhole assisted by Extremely Heavily barricading the building. He also reported that there was now only 1 zombie inside.
Update: Etrex, a survivor of no affiliation, C.R.A.P.ped on the last zombie and dumped it outside.

December 12th, 2008 - Officer Murphy of Dead vs Blue reported that he had killed 1 of the 2 zombies standing guard in the facility. The other, wearing a flak jacket, had been slightly wounded (52 HP).

Update: Rotten Ray of the D.I.T.P.S finished off the last zombie, repaired, and barricaded before sending out a concise situation report, "Bridgman is ours."
Update: Major Azzhole of Metal Fox, currently on guard duty at the Bridgman facility, reported that he had raised the barricades to EHB. Also he noted that Aidan Bloodbeard had joined him. While not officially a group anymore the Sons of Treweeke were once one of the preeminent survivor groups in Dulston. Memories... faded pictures of times that used to be. Uh, 3 hours and no sign of zombies. Sir!
Update: FOXHOUND recon reported there were 7 zombies outside the Bridgman Building.

December 11th, 2008 - Metal Fox recon reported that the building was ruined with 2 zombies inside. Repairs would be minimal (10 AP).

December 2nd, 2008 - Metal Fox reported that the Bridgman Building had fallen. There were 4 zombies inside the building at the time that the recon unit passed through the ruins.

December 1st, 2008 - The Bridgeman Building was reported to have been reclaimed in recent days and is now Heavily barricaded. The recon report, from Healer computer2slow of D.I.T.P.S, indicated that survivors have a firm foothold in the building. The question is, will it last?

Update: Major Azzhole of Metal Fox made his report short and to the point, "Bridgman still stands."
Update: FOXHOUND reported that there was a breach, but fortunately only a single zombie managed to break inside before the building was Lightly barricaded again. The lone zombie was identified as a rotter by the name of Wiseguy Killjoy of no known horde affiliation. The Alliance has classified him as nothing more than a feral.
Update: The zombie was killed and its corpse dumped outside. A recon report from outside shows that there are now 16 zombies sieging the building.

November 30th, 2008 - Metal Fox recon reported that the Bridgman Building was Very Heavily barricaded.

Update: As word spreads that the Bridgman facility is operational more survivors show-up to bolster its defenses. With additional effort being made, the building was now Extremely Heavily barricaded.

November 21st, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S (zombie) recon reported that there were 2 zombies inside the ruined building. Outside there was not a zombie to be seen.

November 11th, 2008 - There are 14 zombies inside and 4 more zombies outside. The building is ruined, like most of the TRP in the suburb. --PyroPyro 01:18, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

November 10th, 2008 - There are 10 zombies inside, and an undetermined number outside. No power, open doors, and 5 standing survivors inside. -- Ωmega360 Small septagon.gifT 22:27, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

November 2nd, 2008 - The building is Very Strongly barricaded and lit. --Linkthewindow Talk 05:41, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

October 29th, 2008 - There is 1 zombie inside and the building has been ransacked. --Scott Timewell 01:20, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Update: Cpt Garviel Loken, Lord General Militant of the Imperium, reported that his forces had reclaimed the building and Heavily barricaded it. All hail the Emperor!

October 23rd, 2008 - There are 3 zombies outside, and a couple survivors inside. The facility is currently being rebuilt. --Scott Timewell 02:05, 23 October 2008 (BST)

September 27th, 2008 - "Through the broken windows, you can see that the interior of the building has been ruined for some time." --WanYao 08:53, 27 September 2008 (BST)

September 8th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon reported that zombie fringe elements, or "ferals", had broken off from the attack on Treweeke Mall to assault the Bridgman facility. It wasn't long before the building fell to their attack, and the facility's lone defender died. The building was ruined.

September 7th, 2008 - Dead vs Blue reported that their forces had managed to recapture the Bridgman facility. The building has been Very Strongly barricaded and reinforcements have been called in. Yet another glorious victory for the Dulston Alliance, and remember kids, every defeat is just another victory-in-waiting. MOAR VICTORIES!

Update: Bounty Hunters Unltd. reported that the facility's barricades had been raised to EHB.

September 4th, 2008 - Dead vs Blue reported that recon of the Bridgman Building revealed there was only one, badly hurt, zombie inside (27 HP).

Update: Officer Murphy of Dead vs Blue killed off the remaining zombie and re-barricaded. Reinforcements have been requested in order to shore-up the facility's defenses. Two zombies were reported outside.
Update: Three members of Dead vs Blue sent to hold the building were killed when the building was overrun that night by zombies. It's believed that the facility was ruined.

August 14th, 2008 - The building is Very Strongly barricaded, with power and a working radio. There were no zombie in the vacinity. Survivors continue to hold strong here at Bridgeman and there appear to be no immenant threats.

March 5th, 2008 - With the Second Big Bash long gone the facility is holding strong against outside threats. At this time 8 zombies have been reported outside the building, but the survivors inside currently outnumber them.

February 1st, 2008 - The Bridgman Building stands strong and has not even been threatened in ages. There are only 4 zombies within scanning range of the facility, making for "poor sport". Survivors looking to hunt zombies will have better luck elsewhere.

January 5th, 2008 - Bridgman is currently powered and barricaded. There are 22 zombies within scanning range, but with a majority of those numbers across the border in Rhodenbank and currently no zombies outside Bridgman.

November 17th, 2007 - A NecroNet scan revealed that there were no zombies outside the building, but that there were 10 zombies in the immediate area. It's believed that these numbers are fragments of the zombie mob which have been making their way through Dulston of late.

November 10th, 2007 - In a terrible turn of events the building was overrun by ferals and other zombies from Infected Swarm. In the end there were no survivors left alive inside and the building was subsequently ransacked, then ruined.

October 7th, 2007 - Kikashie, a member of the ELT, reported that, "The building is powered and barricaded, with no zombies outside. The building hasn't been attacked for over a week and is well populated with survivors at this time." This was a welcome report which certainly spoke well of the successes boasted by the Dulston Alliance in curbing local zombie radicals. And by 'radicals' we just mean zombies who eat people. What's up with that? There are perfectly good revive points people. Use them!

September 11th, 2007 - Dulston Alliance recon reported that zombie numbers in the area remain low and subsequent attempts by them to attack the building have been rebuffed. The building is powered and strongly barricaded. At this time there are a mere 2 zombies standing outside and they pose little or no threat to the building's inhabitants. Actually they're just target practice.

September 5th, 2007 - CloseCall, a member of the DITPS, reported that restoration work on the building was finally completed, or in his own words, "We're back in business; powered and 'caded. Get your syringes while they're hot! No seriously... they just came out of the autoclave so be careful."

August 21st, 2007 - In a surprise attack the zombies from the Undeadites managed to overwhelm the Bridgman Building's defenses and overwhelm its defenders. While the survivors fought bravely they were no match for the horror that was the Undeadites and the outcome left only dead corpses littering the NecroTech lobby. There were no survivors and the building was ruined.

Update: The Dulston Alliance launched an operation to re-secure the building. In short order they were able to fix the damages wrought by the Undeadites and re-barricaded the structure. An order to the ELT for power restoration should net results soon. Then it will be back to business as usual.

August 9th, 2007 - Sonny Corleone reported, much to his own amusement, that while the building's barricades were firmly intact not a single living survivor was left inside... as all of them had become victims of a murderous assault. Dulston Alliance operatives in the area were alerted to the attack and have since resecured the building and continue to patrol the area in search of the killers.

June 3rd, 2007 - A recent NecroNet scan from the Whitlock Building shows increased zombie activity outside the Bridgman Building, in the order of 6 zombies. Due to the increased zombie activity across the suburb an alert has been called in and staff have been warned of the situation brewing just outside.

May 30th, 2007 - Zombies have overrun the building and killed every survivor inside. Analysts are still confused as to how such a tragedy could have occurred in such a peaceful suburb as Dulston. At this time efforts have been put into motion to restore the building to its former glory, as it lies unclaimed at this time.

Update: The building has been reclaimed, having been cleared of its final zombie, bodies dumped, re-barricaded, and is now powered. More importantly air conditioning has been restored thanks to the ELT.

November 15th, 2006 - Members of DORIS persist in their claims of controlling all Dulston. Taking a page straight from Conquerors 101 DORIS has instigated a policy whereby local buildings and streets throughout the suburb have been renamed by their group, in this case, the NecroTech facility is now known as the DORIS Embassy Building as far as DORIS is concerned.

September 8th, 2006 - As ancient evils like Stench and Tymbrwlf awaken themselves from hibernation, the zombies lurch into the Carlyle and Bridgman NecroTech buildings only to find a tiny handful of lab supervisors. The Minions of the Apocalypse smashed the buildings in rage and then moved on.

May 31st, 2006 - After their initial warm welcome and success here the Shamblin' Crooners made a return performance 2 months later to satisfy all their fans who still hungered for more Z!ng, Z!ng. Again, the only fatalities were all good natured ones.

March 30th, 2006 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. Some humans were eaten. Some zombies were shot. Bottom line, everyone had fun. Rock on Crooners, rock on...

February 26th, 2006 - Members of the Malton DEA stormed the Bridgman Building and killed several survivors in their usual misguided attempts at justice. Among those killed were Dante Carter, Sebastian Smith, Criistar, Charlie Browne, and Liz Beaker. The DEA agents who participated in the attack were Special Agent Chow, Special Agent Schultz, Agent Backdraft, and Agent Capone.

February 20th, 2006 - Manufactured revivification syringes and watched paint dry. Wow, that paint really dries in an exciting way.

November 16th, 2005 - The Drunken Dead launched an assault on the Bridgman Building and wiped out all the occupants within a matter of hours. Human resistance was minimal, and at least one zombie went on the record as saying "Graaagh hrr gramma", or "They tasted funny... Oooh! Look at the shiny lights!". Unfortunately, even after a thorough search, no booze was located inside the building, much to the dismay of the horde. All that has been located are traces of white powder in small plastic bags, the purposes of which remain unclear.
