Description

The Brindle struggles to attract residents.

A fire-damaged grey-stone building split by a large, diagonal crack. This hotel seems normal enough (well, by Malton standards) from the outside, but when you enter, you can discover the dark truth about this hotel.

History

The Brindle Hotel is rumoured to have contained the first-ever zombie. After months of research on this hotel, a survivor claimed that this hotel was the place where the first zombie arose.

The zombie is thought to have been a deranged long-term resident of the dilapidated hotel, whose brain was so rotten by the fungal blooms in her room, that even upon her death (only discovered five days later, when her failure to complain about room service was noticed) she continued to twitch, claw at the staff and attempt to chew through a Dralon blanket. Whether this behaviour constituted a major departure from her pre-death norms remains hotly disputed by zombologists.

Few stopped by this remote hotel to rest even before the outbreak, and the prevalence of foul-smelling, brain-eating locals has hardly added to its questionable appeal. The hotel restaurant in particular is thought to be even worse than it was originally, despite the addition of zombie favourites such as brains en croute.

Barricade Policy

Anyone can freely barricade this hotel, but, if not under attack by zombies, this hotel must be not more than very strongly barricaded.

Current Status

Recently, a survivor has taken to checking the hotel, and repairing and barricading it whenever it is ransacked. The survivor's identity was unknown for a long time: many claimed that the survivor was the owner of the hotel, the researcher, or even the first zombie, now 'cured'.

Until now.

It can now be revealed that a member of the Legion of the Octopope, Evan Arnoldi, is regularly checking into this hotel and making this hotel his resting place. The hotel is under the custody of the Octopope.
