A Greentown Pub. Beer and wine can be found inside, along with mobile phones and newspapers. You can also occasionally find shotguns.
This location is a designated Entry Point and should not be Barricaded above Very Strongly Barricaded +2.
This location is staffed by the Green Street Elite who give aid to the living citizens of Greentown
Description
You come in, and I'll buy you a drink. I'll say something uplifting about fighting the rotters, and you'll drink more, and eventually we'll sing songs really loud and kinda off key and in the morning you won't remember much but when the hangover wears off you'll be a member of the Green Street Elite. Look on the bright side - if we get mobbed by zombies we can offer them a shot and then run while they're working out the double entendre.

A once abandoned pub of the English motif; the outside of The Chafy Arms is decorated with crude spray painted murals of the Green Street Elite fight hordes of undead. Various knickknacks and decorations looted from across Malton are hung on the walls. Slogans and sayings from many survivors, past and present, have been carved into the wooden bar top. A stuffed Moose Head looks out over the bar from atop the mirror, and a stuffed crocodile hangs from the ceiling.
A sign hangs above the Barricaded front door:

Sometimes, when the generator is on and the juke box isn't being used to barricade the doors, you can listen to some jazz, blues, or old rock tunes. Mostly you hear drinking songs sung but heavily armed and inebriated zombie hunters.
Decorations
The GSE always enjoys decking out the Chafy. The bar has been decorated with a French tapestry, a mouldering tapestry, a European painting and a stuffed bear.
News

April 4, 2008 - Miles and I are back and alive in the Chafy, but we have the Barricades up to full right now because of the large number of straggler still left in Greentown. When things quite down a bit more we will go back to entry point status.-- Blake Jawl ( Talk | GSE)
March 3, 2008 - The Chafy has been sacked by the same horde that took Greentown. It's been rebuilt and barricaded but Miles and I are aware how likely it is that some zeds might come in and ruin our drinking. We've upped the cades for that reason.-- Blake Jawl ( Talk | GSE)
December 23, 2007 - We're all still hung over from the winter solstice party on the 21st, but we did sober up enough to notice the cades weren't set right. The Chafy is back to VSB+2, so you can come on in for a Beer any time again. -- Blake Jawl ( Talk | GSE)

September 10, 2007 - Thing have gotten a bit nasty in this part of Greentown and we've taken to barricading the Chafy a bit more then normal.
Alice Cuinn said "Well we're going with EHB for now, if it becomes that we need to change it back we can."

August 14, 2007 - Things are fairly calm around the Chafy. A few PK issues have cropped up here and there, but for the most part there has been pleasant drinking for the Green Street Elite and their friends Team Zombie Hardcore/Bravo Squad. Things are so slow that...
- Larry Sanchez installed a stuffed crocodile in the building. (40 minutes ago)
- Larry Sanchez said "I just went outside and saw this giant crocodile crawling out of the sewers. I killed it with my bare hands, stuffed it, and nailed it to that wall over there. The things you do when there are no zombies around..."

July 31st, 2007 - The Chafy is cleared and heavily barricaded. It has a radio but still needs a generator and some decorations. 8 bodies (including 2 GSE) are outside but there are no zombies in the immediate area.

July 30, 2007 - A pack of 15 zombies currently hold the Chafy Arms. Everything inside is destroyed and I spotted the bodies of at least 2 Green Street Elite on the floor. History

This is also a rally point for the newly formed Team Zombie Hardcore/Bravo Squad.
The Chafy is a member of the United Bar Alliance under Bar Keep Blake Jawl and with protection from the Green Street Elite. Joined: 9/19/2007
In late October 2007, the Chafy fell during the The Second Big Bash.
Radio
The Green Street Elite make use of the Chafy as a radio station. Regular broadcasts to the other members of the GSE happen on channel 28.79. Tune in for news on Greentown.

Barricading Policy
Because Hotels/Arms/Motels in Greentown are considered entry points, it should be barricaded to Very Strongly Barricaded +2 (which means, barricade it up unto the point where it says "further barricading will prevent people from entering" and stop so that people without free running can still enter). Survivors who fear for their safety and have Free Running can move next door to an EHB building. --Alice Cuinn 07:17, 4 June 2007 (BST)
