In March of 2011, the Urban Dead stats page began reporting that [[The Dead]]'s active numbers were increasing at a drastic rate. As of April 2, their numbers are over 1000. No explanation for this recent resurgence has been given. It has been speculated that The Dead will rise once more and attempt to break Urban Dead once more.

By 10:16, 5 April 2011 (BST), the Dead's number had continued to rise to over 1300.
 
DNA scans in Molebank, East Becktown and Lukinswood on April 7th reveal a few The Dead members as well as dozens of unaffiliated zombies have moved to the area.
