The Dobson Motel in better days

The Dobson Motel

The Dobson Motel is located at coordinates 86,34 in the suburb of Spracklingbank in Malton.

Wine, beer and the occasional alcoholic can be found here.

History

Constructed back in 1985, The Doubson Motel was run by a large family that had ties with a local phone company. They decided that it would help them to maintain a local monopoly by having their phone towers runing on top of a Motel, so as to pay for it's self and pull in a nice profit. The Motel itself has been under investigation due to a rash of Mafia activity in the 90's and then It was shut down in late 98. The Tower was intact during all this time, and since the Outbreak, it has become a resting spot for Survivors and a target of the Zombies since that time.

In more recent times, The Dobson Motel used to be regualry serviced by MalTel, but due to perpetually poor customer service and the discovery of their role in the recent NSA wiretapping fiasco, it was decided by all good and decent folk to kill any MalTel technician stupid enough to show up on sight.

In 2007 Shadoboxxer: The One Man Riot, has taken on the duty of keeping the lines open.

Seems this place has been empty for a while, that is till I showed up about 2 weeks ago. I was loaded with 15 shotguns and managed to clear out some zeds from the area. They don't call me Shadoboxxer: The One Man Riot for nothing. I was here for about a week or so before needed some extra help from Team: MoFo, since I'm A Free Lance Agent for them, that a few of them stoped by to make sure the 'cades were holding while I was resting and collecting Fuel and Generators. Irish Man Has been a huge help in keeping some of the local Zeds at bay. We've got at least 20+ zeds in the area, but have been holding strong thanks to some of the random survivors in the area. Power is slowly coming up, day by day a new building is beaming with life, power, and light. Also during this time I've managed to get the Tower running, so now we all can use our Cellphones to text people in all of Spracklingbank. I hope if anybody reads this while I'm out looking for more generators, that they know theya re more then welcom to grab a room and keep an eye on things.

I stopped here for a few days rest on my way to Fort Creedy. I stumbled near the lights of the Dobson, severely wounded. There's thirteen of us... When I went outside to document the situation, that's when I saw them. A horde of zombies outside of the Mickelson Museum. I know for a fact that place is locked tight, which brings to memory the rumors I heard about how those things would gather outside of a nearby area and collect in mass before moving a block or two over and destroying their real target. The doors are Very Strongly Barricaded, the generator, for now, is running. I've got 2AP left and only three bullets.. There's 9 zombies out there now, there used to be 7... I can only hope they move on and I live to see daybreak.

The Motel seems a nice place to stay for Valentine's day. Not many rotters. Not many girls either. Barricades are high, it's quiet, and the wine is not too bad.

No more zeds in the building, 'least not any more. Not sure how many outside, I had to flee for ammo. I was badly ill, and when I awoke from my diseased sleep, the building had been overrun! I hope you're awright, Joni, Suau. Keep strong and safe, if you can read this. I'm getting more ammo, and when possible, I'll try to get some more people up for us... There need's to be communication in Spracklingbank!

The building has been conquered again by zeds. Generator was destroyed. I killed one of those rotten, but i had no more ammo... run for your lifes! And look for help! We NEED more people here.

Tonight, a strong zed entered again infecting us all. I killed him, dump its body out and lightly barricaded the building. I can't do nomore, since I'm infected. We need to find help. I've started the *recruitment campaign*

A random rotter passed the barricades tonight. It was shot down but had time to infect me before biting the dust. Bastards. We are keeping the motel with some problems.

Generator is running, but there's a group of zombies outside the building. They are attacking all buildings around us, and it seems that they have seen the lights.

-- Suau 9:19, 8 Feb 2006 (GMT)

07/02/06

I cleared and rebarricaded the building. Now it's empty and heavely barricaded, but I had to return to the police department to get some ammo. Let's rebuild our base!

Yesterday the Motel was assaulted by the rotters. I had been away to the hospital, and when I got back there were too many for me being able to help. I had to retire and now I try to enter every so often. The generator was destroyed. I think there are still five or six rotters inside, and some survivors trying to keep them away. The barricades were destroyed. Many escaped alive, though.
