Basic Info:

  • A monument is a city block containing a statue or similar piece of public art, without a building in it. It is functionally equivalent to a street, except that players with the Tagging skill can gain 2 XP for writing graffiti on a monument.
  • This is, game-play wise, an empty block, and cannot be barricaded.
  • After the July 3, 2009 update, some monuments became tall and can be seen from a distance with binoculars

The Finch Monument, [76,24] was an active revive point in the suburb of Santlerville until it was decommissioned in July 2007.

Description

Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing in front of the monument:

"You are at the Finch Monument, a white marble statue of a 19th century figure surrounded by grass."

This location was the principal revive point of the suburb of Santlerville, now it is just a monument dedicated to someone named after a bird whose droppings let an occasional bit of spray paint show through.

In July of 2007, the Dribbling Beavers of Santlerville decided to move the principal revive point to St. Emelia's Church.

The Burchell Arms Regulars (who helped the Dribbling Beavers in maintaining Finch) are still maintaining the Finch Monument revive point.
