The Giraffe House

The Reptile House and Aquarium are buildings without doors. The Lion Enclosure, Bear Pit, Giraffe House, and Elephant House have wire fences that work the same as Junkyards. Empty "City Zoo" blocks are open land and cannot be barricaded. None of the enclosures can be ransacked or hence ruined.

External Description: You are standing outside the Giraffe House, a wire fence surrounding indistinct foliage.

Internal Description: You are inside the Giraffe House. There is no sign of its former inhabitants.

History

The Malton City Zoo won awards and international acclaim for the innovative design of its giraffe exhibit, which allowed visitors to observe the magnificent creatures interacting with other small mammals native to their habitat, and even feed the giraffes for a small price. Was this place called a Giraffery?

Current Use

The giraffe feeders have long since been vandalized and destroyed by roving gangs of zombie teenage hoodlums. Since the animals never returned, the Zookeepers decided to rehab the facility to serve as a safehouse for zoo visitors. You can still feed the humans, and they tend to appreciate it a great deal.

Barricade Policy

Survivors are encouraged to keep the barricades at EHB in this location.

Animal Update

At this time, there have been occasional sightings of an undead Giraffe.. Its freakish and fairly scary... but not currently at the zoo.

Have you seen an animal wandering the city of Malton? Report it at the Zoo Website and the Zookeepers will do their best to relocate the poor creature to its proper home.
