Description

AquaBar.jpg

The Holmes Arms Public House is one of three pubs in the entire suburb of Ruddlebank.

History

Before the "Malton Incident", it was known to be a fine drinking establishment. It was founded in 1958 by Pierce Holmes, who later passed on ownership to his son, Lewis Holmes. A few years before the "Malton Incident", the pub suffered an arson attack from the gangs that ravaged Ruddlebank (see Ruddlebank's front page). The Holmes Arms was shut down for heavy renovation, before being reopened again in early 2004. The pub's new owners worked closely with the local Police Departments to the East to prevent any future crimes to the establishment. When the quarantine fell, the Holmes Arms was looted, but was and still is used as a survivor Safehouse.

On February 27th 2009, the Umbrella Corporation's own Whiskey Platoon met together at the Holmes Arms and decided to claim it as their operational headquarters. They also consider the pub to be their 'home away from home'. And at the very least, it's where passing survivors can usually find more than a few members of Whiskey relaxing after a hard day's work hunting zombies. Also a video was recovered from the backroom safe after Whiskey Platoon had effectively cleared it out... Since its recovery, it has been shown to new recruits and employees for training purposes.Outbreak

Barricade Policy

In accordance with the Ruddlebank Barricade Plan, the management requests that patrons assist in maintaining the barricades at Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB+) at all times. Entrance to The Holmes Arms is available via free-running lanes from the Holmes's Main Supply Route, otherwise known as the Corp Boulevard Railway Station, which is ideally maintained at Very Strongly Barricaded (VSB+2).

Current Status

April 30th, 2009: The area has suffered from two breakins over the past day. The first was put down but the second is still active. While there are only two zombies, they could cause some damage. Nemesis645 16:30, 30 April 2009 (BST)
