Basic Info:

The Louch Building

You are standing outside the Louch Building, a derelict yellow-stone building surrounded by railings.

Description

The Louch Building is an old office building located in the suburb of Dunningwood. The building was owned by a creditors union before the outbreak. Built in 1923, its architecture is reminiscent of the trend towards classical refinement. It sports wide columns towards the main street with Corinthian capitals and a faux marble entablature. This building is roughly five stories tall and appears fairly safe from the outside.

Inside, however, is another story. The first through third floors are unstable towards the main lobby, as a bomb was set off during the city-wide riots of summer, 2005. A great amount of this rubble has been pushed towards the perimeter of the building in order to maintain barricades, leaving the Louch Building very difficult to enter anywhere but from the roof.

These days the building is home to no particular survival group, but appears to be maintained on a regular basis due to uncoordinated survivor activity.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Very Strongly barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Dunningwood Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.
