Description
The Spenser Museum is a European Art Museum and was a trendy art museum located in the suburb of Rhodenbank along the border with Dulston to the east. Designed by the German architect Stephan Braunshaver, the Spenser Museum was inaugurated in May 2001 after seven years of construction. The rectilinear facade, dominated by smooth curved white concrete, is interrupted by long windows. Each wing of the unique building is connected by a central rotunda and each wing is dedicated to a special collection. The museum is thus divided into Art, Architecture, Design, and Works on Paper.
The museum's collection has grown quickly through purchases, as well as donations by individuals and several foundations. Various art movements of the 20th century are represented in the collection including: Expressionism, Fauvism, Cubism, New Objectivity, Bauhaus, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art and Minimal Art.
The museum also gives very profound insights into international contemporary art. In the first floor of the southwest wing, the gallery displays works of Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Jannis Kounellis, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Mojo the Amazing Painting Monkey, and many others. These works make up the museum's collection in its Art section.
Curious survivors who explore the southeast wing of the museum will find that the collection on display in the Architecture section has drawings, blueprints, photographs, models and computer animations about the work of notable architects like Le Corbusier or Günther Behnisch.
With around 20,000 objects of industrial design, graphic design, and the art crafts the Design section, located in the northwest wing of the museum, was once one of Malton's leading museums of 20th century industrial design. Parts of the expanded collection are exhibited in the basement of the museum, although tours had been postponed after more than a few visitors became lost in all the junk-, err, "industrial design artwork". To this day survivors enter the basement at their own risk...
In the northeast wing of the museum the Works on Paper section has one of the most important collection of works on paper in all Malton, with old German, Dutch and Italian masterpiece drawings from such famous artists as Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci.
These days survivors are just as often to loot artwork as they are to appreciate it.
Barricade Policy
In accordance with the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps barricade plan the location should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. The true purpose of this building is to serve as a heavily fortified shelter for Malton's veteran survivors.

October 23rd 2009 - oO Willie EHB with power but low on fuel. 7 survivors including myself ... looks like a pretty safe place in the light of the zombie incursion.

October 13th, 2009 - oO Willie Power just went back on for the museum so popped in for a look. 6 survivors all in good health with barricades at EHB. Siege at Starr Building next door and Marcellus Hospital still looks ruined so this could be another rest stop for survivors.
December 5th, 2008 - Metal Fox recon reported that there were 5 zombies outside the museum.
December 4th, 2008 - Dead vs Blue recon reported that the building was repaired and recently re-barricaded.
