Description

The Tryme Building is a tall office building located in the suburb of Scarletwood on the extreme southern edge, alongside the border with Danversbank. Members of Evil Avatar renovated the facility recently and commonly revive zombies at the nearby Lovell Alley revive point.

George "Alki" Stopolopopopolous (pron: stop-a-lop-a-pop-a-las) was one of the first to set up shop here in Scarletwood. As a hugely successful shipping magnate, he needed a headquarters and decided to honor his heritage by naming the building after that greatest of Greek ships, the Trireme.

Sadly, "Alki's" English wasn't that good but the sign maker's Greek and classical studies were worse. Unfortunately, what resulted was a contraction of what the term was supposed to be, from "Trireme" into "Tryme."

Of course, the locally produced "Garniss Special" was held up to blame. Only after the scandal died down did they realize that it was because someone had mixed ouzo into the Special that the sign maker's sight (and Alki's) was so bad on that fateful day... and the day after... and the day after that, too.

As time progressed, local madams recognized the inherent value in operating from a building named, "Tryme." Building managers claimed not to know what the madams were up too, even though most of the time they were paid in crinkled up $50s. Their offices had names like "The Swallow Clinic", who claimed to be veterinarians specializing in birds, or "Ballcock Supply", a plumbing supply house, or the aptly named "Hired Hand, Ltd." - cover for an employment agency, which wasn't too far from the truth... They were hiring, after all...

Most notably, the madams were known for employing anyone. It's said that if an "employee" was particularly hideous, and was willing to work "on the cheap," as it were, they would ply the customers with that concoction, "The Greek Special," mentioned previously. Blinded to the truth, none were the wiser... just like modern phone sex operators.

After the contagion, operations ceased abruptly when the madams' sign, "Cum in! All you can eat! $50!" was luring in zombie passers-by.

History

23 May 2009 - Over barricaded at very heavily barricaded, but that probably isn't enough for the situation. Plenty of zombies on the streets in the area, and the neighboring Karnaus Row Fire Station is ruined and barely secured. --Lariat2301 21:56, 23 May 2009 (BST)
