Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Vetch Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Dunningwood. It is one of three such NecroTech buildings located in the suburb. In the months, and years, following the "Malton Incident" survivors have done their best to make use of the resources abandoned by NecroTech Industries to help in their fight against the zombie hordes.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, was known to have communicated frequently with head researchers at the building in early 2006, but has since ceased all further communications. Science staff at the building concerned with the fate of the well-known scientist have made inquiries with staff in NecroTech facilities in Dulston, but have yet to receive any reply other than a standard "no comment" or assurances that Caleb is working on a top secret project and therefore cannot be contacted.

Members of project NecroWatch renovated the facility in recent months, as they installed sensor eyes for A.L.I.C.E. throughout the building and uploaded NecroNet 2.0 into the facility's system terminals.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. While the cost in time and effort are currently high the certainty provided by being able to manufacture a constant stream of syringes has mitigated early concerns.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. The field research staff stationed at the Vetch Building feel certain that they can crack the mystery surrounding the spread of the virus as well as help monitor aberrant zombie activity within Dunningwood.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Dunningwood Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Vetch Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

Current Events

May 17, 2016 - The Vetch Building was found ruined and occupied by a single zombie by members of the Malton Police Department and the MCDU (DEM). They have evicted the undead resident and restored the building. The place has been barricaded with an abundance of yellow police tape.

2:02 PM 4/24/2011-You are inside the Vetch Building. The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories. The building has been loosely barricaded. Also here are Bobby Stokes (14HP) and Cyrus Hayden (56HP).Somebody has spraypainted Resident Evil: Cyrus onto a wall. There is a mob of twelve zombies here. There are three dead bodies here.--Dr Mycroft Chris 19:09, 24 April 2011 (BST)

August 1st, 2008 - The zombie army had a mass organized attack on Dunningwood. They converged on the Vtech building, and took out everyone inside. Those that have survived are noe barricaded in nearby buildings, waiting to take back the lab. There are few inside, and they may not last long. Zombies who need to be ressurected, need to wait outside the hotel one block to the west of the vtech building. Brave scientists are needed to revive the zombified lab assistants waiting there.

July 31st, 2008 - Please do not travel alone. Dunningwood is cluttered with many zombies. It is official. Dunningwood is in need of assistance. For those who can help and are skilled anough, the buldings of dunningwood have been demolished and are in need of repair. The zombies are needed to be run out of town. The Vtech lab has to be taken back in order for Dunningwood to continue in the watch for zombie surveilance.

July 28th, 2008 - The zombies, after a recent scan of Dunningwood have converged around the perimeter of Dunningwood. As of later this marked day they began to move forward. Those who jumped out of the window did, and those who were left behind were the lab scientists awaiting ressurection. Scientists need to come and ressurect the follen lab assistants at the Hotel to the west of the Vtech building. This way the zombies can be ressurected even faster.

July 15th, 2008 - The lab is being run by about ten or more people. They have barricaded themselves extremely letting nobody inside. Lab assistants were running full scans of Dunningwood with no abnormal readings of zombie convergance.

July 3rd, 2007 - After the recent fall of The Cater Building, it appears that an organized and determined mob of zombies has moved to attack the Vetch Building. latest word, only minutes before this report, stated that 13 zombies now stand inside, with no survivor response as of yet. --Goofy Mccoy 10:25, 3 July 2007 (BST)

May 22nd, 2007 - A recent NecroNet scan from the Vetch Building detected 22 zombies in the 9X9 grid surrounding the lab. The highest concentration, a mob of 7, was located just outside McDonell Towers. This doesn't bode well for the safety of NE Dunningwood.
