Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Wallbutton Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Rhodenbank. While normally staffed by scientists from NecroTech, this particular facility is controlled by the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps, a survivor group with the interests of the entire suburb always in mind. As the RCDC group is a member of the Dulston Alliance sometimes other survivors from associated member groups can also be found at this location. Members of project NecroWatch renovated the facility in recent months, as they installed sensor eyes for A.L.I.C.E. throughout the building and uploaded NecroNet 2.0 into the facility's system terminals.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow Directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. They have been charged with governing the Orome Avenue (82,4) revivification zone and seeing to the restoration of life to all zombies located therein.

Orome Avenue is one of the RCDC's main revive points within the suburb. It is suggested that scientists and other NecroTech personnel use this building to restock on revive syringe supplies.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. Standard protocol dictates that all staff be equipped with a standard issue DNA Extractor to tag any zombies they come across during field research.

Barricade Policy

Please keep this building at EHB.

This building serves as a "Fortified NT" for the survivors of Rhodenbank and, as such, should remain EHB at all times. Survivors seeking entry to a Necrotech Building are recommended to try The Carlyle Building one block south or The Starr Building three blocks to the south.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Wallbutton Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot). Out of respect for the Dulston Alliance and the continued work of Caleb Usher to secure the NE corner, Liberal Pi and his associate Ottari issue Necronet reports from this building as an early warning system to survivors dwelling in the safest corner of Malton.

Current Events

October 16, 2009 - oO Willie power is off, 7 survivors in various states of hurt and barricades are down with 5 zombies and one dead body inside the building. Dumped body and rebuilt barricades to lightly barricaded, zombie are interfering with barricade building. Correction 3 zombies now as Dudewithanaxe did some combat revive on two zombies and dumped their bodies. Will stay and continue to update on what's happening.

March 28, 2009 - Currently under attack by 10 zombies. --Pvt human 05:16, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

December 9th, 2008 - Meatball Surgeon of the D.I.T.P.S, reported that the facility was ruined. While no zombies were spotted outside, no recon of the building's interior was made at the time. It's unclear whether the zombies are holding the building or have abandoned it in search of other targets farther south.

December 8th, 2008 - Shotgun Ed of the Friends of the Featherstone Library, reported that the Wallbutton Building had been retaken, both being barricaded and powered.

Update: Rotten Ray of the D.I.T.P.S reported that the barricades had been breached and a zombie (@56 HP) was inside Wallburton NT. Survivors managed to re-barricade back to VSB+2. Even so, the zombie is very "bitey", having infected Ray while Shotgun Ed was dead on the floor. Tired, but hoping to give Ed a revive before he departed, Ray opted to take whatever the zombie had to dish out.
Update: Rotten Ray reported that he had managed to escape the Wallbutton Building. On a strange note, he reported that a zombie, Jane Bone, who was also inside the facility had spent a fair bit of effort (~15 AP) yelling "gang bang" and the n-word (we all which one)... and did nothing else. Ray reports she could have killed him long before he had escaped if she had wanted to. Not sure what to make of this, so the Dulston Alliance has filed it under "W" for "Wierd".

December 7th, 2008 - It has been noted that survivors have fled to the Wallbutton Building after the fall of the Carlyle Building. The Wallbutton NT is powered and its defenses kept firmly at Extremely Heavily barricaded. No one in the building has an illusions that it will not be long before the zombies who ransacked Carlyle will soon turn their attention north to them. In the meantime, the D.I.T.P.S reminded survivors to stock-up on syringes while they still had the opportunity.

Update: Although the facts are unclear, scattered reports indicate that the Wallbutton Building's defenses were breached that night. Rotten Ray of the D.I.T.P.S reported barely escaping with his life. Whether the remaining survivors managed the drive off the zombies is unclear, but considering the recent fate of the Carlyle Building, it's unlikely.
Update: Driving the coffin nail in, Dead vs Blue recon reported that the Wallbutton Building had fallen.
Update: D.I.T.P.S recon reported that there were 2 zombies in the Wallbutton Building. One of the zombies was critically injured (6 HP left).
Update: D.I.T.P.S recon reported that there was now only 1 zombie in the Wallbutton Building. And that zombie was critically injured (3 HP left).

December 6th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon reported that there was only 1, critically injured zombie (10 HP) still inside the Wallbutton Building.

Update: Rotten Ray of the D.I.T.P.S stepped in and took out the remaining zombie. The building was then repaired and Loosely barricaded.
Update: D.I.T.P.S recon reported that there were no zombies outside this building.
Update: Metal Fox recon reported that the Wallbutton Building had been ruined again. Even so, Major Azzhole of Metal Fox and The Irishman of Dead vs Blue were inside and had restored it to Extremely Heavily barricaded in no time. Recon also indicated there were 3 zombies outside.

December 5th, 2008 - Dead vs Blue recon reported that there was 1 zombie inside the ruined Wallbutton Building.

Update: A second zombie showed up at the Wallbutton facility, a fact that was reported because N00bert, Second-in-Command of FOXHOUND had just recently knocked said zombie down to 20 HP.

November 14th, 2008 - Ruined with 5 zombies standing guard inside. -- Kittithaj 15:56, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

September 5th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon, as part of a tour of eastern Rhodenbank, reported that the facility was ruined.

September 1st, 2008 - The building has been destroyed by its zombie attackers. --Matthew Armada 20:42, 1 September 2008 (BST)

August 31st, 2008 - Currently 12 zombies are inside, with only 1 survivor. Generator and 'cades are down. --Matthew Armada 23:19, 31 August 2008 (BST)

August 29th, 2008 - Building currently under siege, 12 zombie's inside its doors, unless survivor action is taken soon the building is in zombie hands. --Armada 23:31, 31 August 2008 (BST)

August 18th, 2008 - Current Necronet scans indicate no zombie activity in the area. Most buildings in area are powered and barricaded. --Optimus Primus 08:14, 19 August 2008 (BST)

March 27th, 2008 - The suburb has zombies crawling around it, but this building is safe for now. --Pvt human 13:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

January 5th, 2008 - The building is powered and barricaded. A NecroNet scan indicates there are 33 zombies in the immediate area, but most are scattered (largest mob has 5 zombies) and only 1 zombie is currently outside this building.

September 1st, 2007 - The building fell early this afternoon- with lots of zombies from the De-vivification Experts of Malton still inside and outside Wallbutton. --ZuluDeacon

August 28th, 2007 - A few zombies are attacking! More are nearby, request help! --Leath
