This page is for the requesting of page moves by normal users. The average user's ability to move pages has been rescinded due to frequent abuse by vandals; as such, users will need to submit requests (similar in nature to those on Speedy Deletions and Protections) for pages to be moved by a sysop.

Guidelines for requesting a Page Move

Copy the template below (Or just type it), replace the text in red with the relevant details, and paste the template under the Move Request Queue heading. A day after a sysop has taken action on the request, move requests should be moved to the Archive.

Battle of Dakerstown

Better left in group subspace methinks. It's just propaganda garbage, and potential conflict material should anyone else involved in the "battle" attempt a POV revision. -- Cat Pic.png Thadeous Oakley Talk 21:10, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

I think it could definitely use some touching up, especially parts where they wank themselves off, but on the whole I don't personally find the page any issue in mainspace. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 11:57, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Ping ping bump? Thoughts? DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 05:50, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

I doubt anyone will create a separate NPOV battle page since, as I understand it there was no willing participants in this battle other than Nazi Zombies. I'm pretty much meh about it. The newest Nazi battle page is in the group space though so it would make sense I guess. Logic doesn't seem to go over too well with these guys though. ~Vsig.png 07:27, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

It is "there were", Vapor. You only use was if your subject is singular. The sentence is also perfectly fine without "it" shoved before "there". Why can't Vapor use proper grammar? 00:02, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Reddit_Survivors_Official_Member_List

Move to Reddit Survivors/Official Member List for a subpage. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 06:29, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Since when did we require group pages to include forward slashes to distinguish them as "subpages"? If it's in the mainspace, it shouldn't matter. Moving it will likely break some links on their forum. Better to ask first. ~Vsig.png 17:46, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
err since when did we not require it? It's happened to literally every page that goes through here DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 23:08, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Since the wiki software requires and treats it that way? Moved. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 19:45, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually the wiki software doesn't recognize mainspace subpages. It treats "Group name/Subpage title" exactly the same as it treats "Group page Subpage title", which is to say it does nothing with it. User, UDWiki, Help, yes. Everything else, no. Anyway I looked through SCEG and saw nothing about sub page requirements. There are some move requests that were done this way but I couldn't find when that started or why. I don't really care if we continue to do it this wauy but at the very least, the groups need to be notified. As it turns out, reddit has a thread on their forum where I'm sure this page is linked to externally. Also, the red links weren't fixed. ~Vsig.png 22:08, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
This move was annoying, but could have been made much less so, with(just as Vapor suggested!) a simple notification. Thankfully it only broke a couple of links that were easily fixable within just a minute or so, but a heads up would have still been nice. I wasn't aware that the pages were supposed to be set up as such, so my bad on that, as I'm still learning my way around here. --SamuraiJackAG RSconceptNTSyringe.png T /r UD 01:37, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, it's no ones fault, these things happen all the time and Vapor is right, notification would have helped too DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 01:39, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Okay firstly, the ground rules of this argument is an understanding that every page like this has been moved to a group subpage in the past. Like, since I've been here, it has been an inarguable happening so I'm a bit baffled you haven't noticed it but either way, I mean the aforementioned with absolutely no hyperbole either, just always happened. As for the red links and the notification, I'd like to think that the sysop performing the move should do those tasks, since I would when I was op. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 01:39, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
It's significantly harder when nonmove edits are a pain on the phone, which is why I didn't even try to check incoming links on the redirect, wouldn't be able to change them without much difficulty. Either way, subpages actually work the same way on all namespaces, ns:0 still has subpages in the same manner as the other pavges as the special pages and pagename functions should show. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 05:07, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Maybe they should work that way but they don't. Recheck special pages. And look for page function on any subpage in any names space other than ns:2 and you'll see. DDR, I guess I'm more just wondering why its being done. It isn't often that these requests come up and I had to look back a ways (like about 2 years) to find a request that was done like this. Like I said I'm fine if we're to continue it. Not really a battle worth fighting to be honest. Just curious at this point is all. ~Vsig.png 05:24, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
It's to make it clear who has ownership rights to the page. It mightn't make any difference in 99% of the cases, but when it comes to clusterfucks like Umbrella and Cobra and such, having everybody's sub pages clearly defined, at a glance, makes our job easier. If there are external linking problems, then leaving the redirect is probably best. These requests don't come up much any more, but they used to happen all the time. Another advantage to moving all subpages to a set standard, is that eventually, posters just "get it", and create the pages in the correct position without prompting, by seeing where everyone else has their sub pages -- boxy 05:39, 12 December 2011 (BST)
