Max Grivas

I have long considered that there was no need for more than a dozen moderators. Over the course of the past four to six weeks I have realized that the responsibilities they are bestowed with carry a heavy burden complicated by the high volume of traffic that the wiki receives. I now feel that my previous stance was poorly formed. As such I am willing to lend a hand in helping to protect wiki from vandals and to share the burden of responsibility by cleaning the mess created by vandals and veterans alike through serving deletions and and keeping a watchful eye on edits for vandalism.

I have been a member of the community since March but only actively contributing since April. In that time I have made around 1700 edits which are available for your perusal on the contributions page.

In my career as an editor I have been able to keep my arse out of arbitration but am willing to stick my neck out there as the need may arise.

Contributions beyond my user and group pages include voting on suggestions, policies and promotions, submitting deletions, speedy deletions and vandalism reports, extensive work to the suburb pages and many many contributions to location pages.

I understand that the process of moderation requires team work and hope to compliment the moderation team already in place.

Thanks for your consideration. --Max Grivas JG,T,P!,Bob06! 09:23, 30 August 2006 (BST)

  • Vouch - Definitely. Max has been a solid contributor to the wiki for a long time. Cyberbob  Talk  09:25, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Max has been a solid contributor from day one. Responsible, and would make a fine moderator. –Xoid STFU! 11:46, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Definitely. --Brizth M T 12:52, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Level-headed guy. Realizes that the wiki is for fun and not for in character retardedness. --Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS DORIS Hunt! 13:05, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Now Max I can get behind. Although he might be viewed as a "Stealth" candidate what I have seen is a good mix of edits for numerous purposes, and more importantly LEVEL headed. Conndrakamod T CFT 15:15, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - As above. You know where my basket is.--Thari TжFedCom is BFI! 15:38, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I see no reason why not. Nothing more to add from what people have already said. Pillsy F! 15:47, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Fine. No... Great! --Niilomaan GRR!Bob06! 16:29, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I did not even need to read Max's statement. In my experience, he is level-headed and intelligent, and he has put an incredible amount of work into the wiki (for example, he took over and finished my project to add the suburb map template to every suburb page). He would be a fantastic moderator, and I was wondering when he would get around to running. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 16:55, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I haven't seen a whole lot of you, but what I have seen, I've liked. Bob's suburb pages is what I first saw about you, and I think you more level headed mods is the way to go. --Darth Sensitive Talk W! 22:57, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I have no objections. – Nubis NWO 20:20, 31 August 2006 (BST)

  • Vouch - An upstanding wikizen. This is a great online community we've got going and, given some power, Max will add to that tremendously. --Ron Burgundy 07:45, 1 September 2006 (BST)

  • Vouch - Aren't you the guy I kicked off of my talk page early on my wiki days? SORRY!!. Looking at your contributions, they seem pretty good altough more focused than mine (but that's not a bad thing), so you deserve the Vouch. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 19:29, 5 September 2006 (BST)

  • Vouch - Great Wiki citizen. --Kiki Lottaboobs 04:43, 9 September 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Personally, I don't think you should be a mod. But you're better than the other candidates who I've voted down and I don't have any real reason to vote against you other than simply not liking you. Thus in the interest of making the wiki a better place rather than irrational dislike (or the desire to be the first person to vote Against) you get a Vouch from me. - David Malfisto 16:39, 9 September 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch Sure, why not.--Grigori 03:35, 10 September 2006 (BST)
  • Abstain - I'm already concerned about the number and quality of mods, but I don't know this person well enough to say one way or another. Asheets 04:36, 11 September 2006 (BST)
