While I think Spider has probably been the best sysop among the candidates these last few months (more even-keeled and active than Karek; more experienced (and willing to vote for others :P) than Shortround), I tend to think that Karek would be a better 'crat. Honestly, Karek and I are about as different as they get. He and I disagree a lot...which is exactly why I think this would work and what I think we could use. Since Bureaucrats only really have the power to veto decisions, deadlocks get avoided while dissenting concerns still get raised. Win-win. Plus, whereas I'm mostly seeking to maintain or return things to the status quo most of the time (i.e. a path that eventually leads to stagnation), Karek tends not to be, which is something we could use. Spider is a good guy, but I can't shake the feeling that if I voted for him, I'd primarily be doing it as a reward for being the best sysop, rather than because he'd be best in the role. —Aichon— 21:45, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
