Thari

This guy is one of the best wikizens we have on the wiki. He has never been warned for vandalism, and has been around since 14 July 2006 and has about 1,500 edits. I banhammer so many vandals because this guy is on MSN going, "Hey Gage! There is an active vandal!" I wish I could take credit for all the reverts that he does, because sometimes he gets to them before I get to them with the rollback button (fast). In short? Probably the best choice for mod out there now. He's a member of ASS, so everyone knows that puts him in the running joke! + he is a nice guy. Mr. T pities the fool who doesn't vouch for this guy.--Gage 07:58, 24 October 2006 (BST)

I accept this nomination. Thanks for nominating me, Gage.--Thari TжFedCom is BFI! 08:05, 24 October 2006 (BST)

  4. Vouch - From what I've seen, he's a very good wikizen, deserves this as much as anyone. --CaptainM 08:05, 24 October 2006 (BST)
  5. Vouch - I was thinking of nominating him myself, so i'm definitely going to vouch for him!--The General T Sys U! P! F! 08:39, 24 October 2006 (BST)

  7. Vouch - This should be good for English-Argentine Relations! Pillsy FT 09:01, 24 October 2006 (BST)
  8. Vouch - We've had some differences (well, one), but I can see that he really cares about the wiki and is almost disturbingly attentive, so he seems like an excellent choice. -- Alan Watson T·RPM 10:46, 24 October 2006 (BST)
  9. Vouch - Everyone that vouched for ya said it all. --Axe Hack 14:27, 24 October 2006 (BST)
  10. Vouch - Just like when Gage ran for moderator, I was shocked because I always preseumed with what they did and everything they were already moderators. Same goes here so have my vouch. --MarieThe Grove 15:08, 24 October 2006 (BST)

  16. Vouch - I was tempted to vote against, 'cuz of where he is from. But i think that the wiki wont implode because someone from Argentina became a mod, so a vouch he gets. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 23:24, 24 October 2006 (BST)
  17. Vouch - He's good by me. Do it to it Lars. Bullgod 23:30, 24 October 2006 (BST)

  19. Abstain Looks like an OK candidate, but the one contact I had with the candidate was a message to read a FAQ without telling me what exactly I did wrong (so I can't fix it). Besides, no one except George Washington should pass a vote unanimously. Asheets 22:22, 25 October 2006 (BST)
  20. Vouch Go for it. He seems fair. Shamus Oakshod 02:17, 26 October 2006 (BST)
  21. Vouch - Active & Bright. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 02:42, 26 October 2006 (BST)
  22. Vouch - It's a tribute to Thari's work on the wiki that I didn't know he WASN'T a mod until thirty seconds ago. -- Atticus Rex AMP ' T 15:32, 26 October 2006 (BST)
  23. Vouch - While strongly opinionated, I've noticed Thari tends to be fair in dealing with others none the less. Even those Thari doesn't agree with. As long as this behavior isn't corrupted by REAL ULTIMATE POWER, I'd enjoy having such a balance added to the mod-base. --MorthBabid 21:55, 26 October 2006 (BST)
  24. Vouch - Arrr... Me like 'em. --Niilomaan GRR!M! 08:37, 27 October 2006 (BST)
  25. Against - Can't make it unanimous --Agent White WTFW!SGPCMS-MetaCMS 18:15, 27 October 2006 (BST)
There was already an abstain, in case you didn't notice. –Xoid STFU! 19:15, 27 October 2006 (BST)
And voting against just to make it divided is a real mark of a troll. Congrats.--Gage 19:17, 27 October 2006 (BST)
OK, no hard feelings, right?--Thari TжFedCom is BFI! 19:24, 27 October 2006 (BST)

Not supposed to be hard feelings, not trying to troll, just trying to be a continuous wild card, I assume he will win and choose to make things interesting. Also, generally I will vote against ANYONE I've not heard of when moderation promotions come up. --Agent White WTFW!SGPCMS-MetaCMS 02:24, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
    Have you been living under a rock?--Gage 02:27, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
    I have (see below)--Richard Gray 02:27, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
  26. Against - I haven't seen that much of Thari's work. I do however doubt his sense of judgement in relation to 'vandals' and how to handle the situation is the right one, however from what I have seen he is a hard worker. As of such I'm voting against (although it isn't going to change how this turns out) because of how he seems to handle certain situations. - Jedaz - 20:32/25/04/2024 09:23, 28 October 2006 (BST)
Were you not permabanned then, Jedaz? If he hadn't done it, you know someone else would have. It is standard procedure to invalidate the votes of banned users regardless if you agree with the decision. That had absolutely nothing to do with Thari's "judgement" because he had no part in you ban! I realize that you banning wasn't exactly fair, but could you at least direct your anger over the situation at the people who actually wronged you instead of someone who was just trying to follow standard procedure?--Gage 09:34, 28 October 2006 (BST)
I'm not talking about the banning specifically, and that was not a vote either. The lexicon was a game which I was a part of on the wiki, and which had also finished. I don't want someone to start parading around that someones a vandal and start striking out their positive contributions, especialy when things have come to an end. Thats where Thari's judgement was lacking. Here, look at the page as a whole rather then the single edit. Then you can see why I'm voting against, not many else would have come along and done so. - Jedaz - 20:32/25/04/2024 09:44, 28 October 2006 (BST)
The Lexicon came to an end? At that point in time (it may still look like that for all I know) it looked like it died due to inactivity, not that it officially ended. Striking out your name seems more like an informative action that "he's not going to be coming back to help finish it" in that light. –Xoid MTFU! 01:34, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
I finished my part in the game long ago. The game was officially closed on Friday 9th June, 23:59 (GMT). It's just that people decided that they didn't want to leave the lexicon in a half finnished state. If people were to try and contact me then they could quite easily have seen the ban tags on my user space, the striking was unnecessary. - JedazΣT ΞD GIS S! 02:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
If that single action is enough to you for being against my bid, fine; I accept your position. --Thari TжFedCom is BFI! 21:37, 28 October 2006 (BST)
