The following is a petition to have Amazing removed from the Wiki for an extremely long time, if not permanently. There will be absolutely no discussion on this page. Merely sign your name. If you have something to add, use the appropriate space on the attached talk page. This petition will be available for a least one week before it is submitted. Also, please browse the attached talk page before finnalizing your vote. This petition has ended. Please keep an eye on this page for changes in the evidence that might change your opinion. (Note: The above is removed from context) Amazing created a template calling for the deletion of the wiki, though he clarifies that this only refers to "the group of idiots who are abusing [the wiki]". It should be noted that the actual text of the template does not make this distinction (or, for that matter, any other), and that Amazing only advanced this explanation after his apparent call for the violent death of every user of the wiki began to draw enough heat that his template was put up for deletion and attracted an overwhelming number of "delete" votes. Amazing claims that he did not expect people to take a nuclear strike as a realistic death threat. Some feel that Amazing should not have opposed the "Hail Xenu" template (seen here), which specifically mentioned killing Amazing and his family, because of its similar "nuclear attack" theme. Reviewing his last 500 edits to the Wiki, it has been determined that most of them involve drama. In addition, most of the arbitration cases have involved him. (It should be noted that some of the Arbitration cases were ruled in his favor.) Some believe that Amazing is purposefully trying to overwhelm the wiki's moderation system by submitting excessive vandalism and arbitration cases, and calling for misconduct trials against existing moderators. His most recent "Wikigate" Arbitration cases were brought about by a comment from a Moderator stating that he'd have a good case if he did it. Amazing has had arguments and bad words with the Moderators and Kevan to such a degree that some have been ignoring him. Amazing was a Moderator for a short time, after Odd Starter gave him this position without following the promotion system's voting procedure. This status was revoked when Amazing deleted an image that was meant to attack him personally, without going through proper deletion procedures. During his 24 hours as a Moderator, all other entries on the Moderation/Deletions and Moderation/Speedy_Deletions were not ruled upon by him, showing potential bias or lack of time to do so. There is some debate as to whether his actions were justified: Amazing cited copyright infringement (though this was not supported), but it was widely believed he should have posted it for deletion voting instead of taking immediate action. It is stated that Banning is not a punishment. While some strongly believe Amazing should be punished for his statements and personal conduct in terms of arguement, it is more important to preserve the Wiki. The drama that follows him may possibly be detrimental to those who are here to edit the Wiki and provide the best information they can, assuming they have to read Amazing's posts to do so. These Users will see the drama going on, and either get caught up in it, or avoid the areas in question altogether to avoid such. Some believe that Amazing may, if banned, vandalise the wiki from other accounts. (Amazing was banned once before, for 24 hours in October 2005, and created a number of accounts in an attempt to clear up the misunderstanding that brought it about.) Some feel that this risk is worth taking, however. Amazing has e-mailed Kevan and reportedly said crude things and personally insulted him. This reportedly stems from Kevan's claim that Amazing was lying about having a sibling who played the game and brought his character into the same suburb, at which point both players' characters were almost immediately banned. The discussion reportedly began calmly, but became heated (and, in Amazing's case, profane) when the allegation of dishonesty was made. It is unclear at this time how this pertains to Amazing's use of the Wiki. Amazing also referred to Moderator 'STER as an "STD-Addled Crack Whore" to show that insulting a user was not something that could easily be shrugged off after 'STER called Amazing another insulting name claiming he simply did it "as a regular user". An arbitration ruling later caused 'STER to issue an apology to Amazing. Evidence in FavorSome believe Amazing is merely a Wiki contributor pushed too far by those who are seeking to kick him off the Wiki and out of Urban Dead itself. Though it is true he has a certain abbrasive personality when dealing with people he does not personally like, some believe the current situation is merely the end culmination of a concorted effort by those who dislike him to, as previously stated, remove Amazing. Amazing himself claims that he has never spoken unkindly to anyone who did not first insult or flame him. Moderators being the exception in cases where he felt justice was not being done. He has never claimed to be blameless, merely that he gets aggrivated by what he considers 'trolling' and what he also considers support of this behavior. Losing his cool is something Amazing is known for - but he is also known for offering olive branches and treaties which are often denied by those who seem to still want the drama to continue so that he can be effectively brought down. Amazing believes that, had Moderators listened to him, none of this would be happening because the rampant attacks against him would have been stopped before they grew so large that it lead to a petition to Ban him.
It is obvious that there is no actual way he will be able to regain full unhindered use of this Wiki or the game for as long as these folks are allowed to conduct themselves as such. Some believe that a little anger is justified at this point. Amazing should be banned.If you agree, sign below.
