This is an archive of everything in my Talk page. I have put it here for reference and may clean it out later on this year. Still, have fun reading it if you do..

Giddings Mall News

Newb asshole doesn't want his post deleted as POV. Please do it for me; he's threatened A/VB if I do it again. I could go there and win, but it'd be too much hassle.  Nalikill  TALK  E!  W!  M!  USAI  19:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Strike a light.

Rather than going strike mad, why not pop a comment on kevans talk page, mentioning it came up in suggestions and giving a link, maybe even grab a response from the almighty? As his very special bub has turned up at pitneybank he maybe trying to get a zombies eye view of the world.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 12:17, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Bub's not his only character, just his most well known. Anyway, not quite time for another strike yet, but it's definitely getting close.--Karekmaps?! 12:46, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Monroeville Many

I was reading the west monreoville news and you entered information about the founding of the many. However your entry in the news section of hte 26th is not NPOV. (With most of the suburb now being mapped, survivors are finding freedom to explore the area.)->This part is fine. (However to thwart this plan is the group Monroeville Many, who are now 'claiming' this suburb as their home turf with their slogan When the End Begins, Begin with Monroeville Many.)-> This is good to it lets us know about the group and its mission. (So watch out everyone, It seems as though you could have some serious competition for control in the suburb. Barricades are expected to be increased very soon seen as the zombies are increasing in numbers and gaining Memories of Life, very very fast.)-> This part could be edited or removed since its not news but a threat to the survivors in the area. Maybe it could be moved to a west monroeville groups section or a page you made for the Many but it shouldn't be included in the news section because it is your Groups POV. Sorry if I seem to be a dick but it would be nice to try and have this new city start off right without having the N/POV debates that happen all the time in Malton. Feel free to message me back on my talk page or where ever, I would be more that willing to help edit the entry as well.--JleggittMR 16:53, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for being so cool about that its nice to have people be respectful ranther than jump all over you like on the malton wiki pages. Let me know if I can help.--JleggittMR 19:13, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the offer once I get killed I think I will join, I would start a zed but dont have the ip hits to run that many characters. I find you guys as soon as I am dead.--JleggittMR 16:04, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Testing my new template

Hi Acoustic Pie/Archive1. Thanks for your contributions to User:Acoustic Pie/Sig. However, I noticed that you forgot to sign your name so it's hard for people to tell who you are. Don't be a nobody! Let us know who you are. Either type four tildes (~~~~) or click the sign button (Sign.png) before you save your edits to add your signature and timestamp to the page. It's as easy as that. Keep up the contributions and help us make this wiki better! -- Cheese 21:31, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

This is in no way a piss take. :P Just testing this out. -- Cheese 21:31, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Bigger Mortice: Dragonhead Dispute

Hi Acoustic, thanks for the thanks! We have respected the mall idea, it seems a good one. However, (just so you know), we have absolutely no intention of reaching any resolution with Dragonhead. We intend to wear them down with an attritional policy, until they quit, (either the suburb or the game, either will do). They have repeatedly offended us over months & months. (You can see some of the insulting postings on their pages, if you can be bothered to read the drivel). If you should ever get into dialogue with them you'll see what I mean, moronic, repetititive ramblings that go on, and on, and ON!

Cheers, take care (post back on pur pages if you like, no worries of you don't): --Amiasheep 11:41, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, one of Bigger Mortice - a player called your hand has been PKd in the south block of Lumber Mall by Domenique3 who claims to be one of your players in their description. Please advise LMSers that we are trying to work in cooperation with you. Thank you. --Zombiek 12:43, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello again, this player [1] has just pkd a scarab beetle in Lumber Mall. --Zombiek 15:53, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Dragonhead are simply not respecting the Mall truse. I have just been PK'd in Lumber Mall by Dr Scerbo and also by Iamlamb. We are wasting our time trying to be adult with these hypocrits --Amiasheep 14:02, 8 April 2008 (BST)

Indeed. There have therefore been two executions of Dragonhead members ZoGKiller and vaginatarian in Joachim Mall as punishment. We are sick of Dragonhead being aggressive and then going 'boo hoo, we're victims' to other players and groups.--Zombiek 19:25, 8 April 2008 (BST)

I put this on ours, but for your information - a scarab beetle has been to both sections of Lumber Mall just now and told them: Hi. I'm from Bigger Mortice. We're still respecting the mall policy, so you'll get no pks from us here :) --Zombiek 21:57, 9 April 2008 (BST)

Hi, apparently one of your players, Mokeman, has been trying to wade in to Bigger Mortice's dispute with Dragonhead. We're at a crucial moment in our discussions with Dragonhead, so we would like to politely request Mokeman keeps out of it, lest talks break down. Thanks --Zombiek 22:48, 24 April 2008 (BST)

Beware of getting Drawn in!

Hi Acoustic - a word to the wise. I've just posted this on Dragonheads Disc pages:

HOMUNCUBISH YOU HYPOCRITICAL CHILD - IF YOUR AREA OF OPERATIONS IS FRYERBANK HOW COME YOUR MEMBERS HAVE PK'd ME TWICE IN HOULDENBANK and ALSO TWICE IN PENNY HEIGHTS. STOP LYING. BE HONEST. CONTROL YOUR FREAKY MEMBERS OR OWN UP TO BEING FAR WORSE THAN US, AT LEAST WE ARE CLEAR IN OUR INTENTIONS AND OUR ACTIONS - YOU ARE JUST FOOLING YOURSELF! --Amiasheep 09:37, 11 April 2008 (BST)

Acoustic, I'd advise you not to get into debates with Dragonhead, (or us either, come to that), as he/she/it tends to go on, and on, and on, and oooooonnnnnnnnnnnn.

You'll soon see what I mean. For my part I pledge not to keep posting on your pages unless a) To correct something, (possibly a Homuncubish lie or b) to ask for help or c) For another important reason, (and even then I'll try to be brief).

I won't bog your pages down. (And we'll continue to respect the No PK in the Mall thing)

Cheers matey

About barricade map image

Can you please reupload a new image in accordance with the SPG? I believe most pro-survivor groups follow it, and just to mark it off so some guy doesn't raise complaints about it in the future. --User:Axe27/Sig 20:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, misunderstanding

I was moving it to the discussion page. I was literally just about to post it when my mail said you have new messages. I had no Mal intent, I just didnt want the page cluttered with a bunch of discussion. Its what the Talk page is for, right? Sorry I wasnt quick enough, I'm slow when it comes to wiki stuff, I was just going to redo my argument. edit: Man, now I lost all of the stuff I typed. :/ Maybe I should just type this up in notepad before I post it. --StarmanHaxor 19:20, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Signature test

It looks fine to me. Are you sure there's a problem?-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:33, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Indeed i am, see below:

--Acoustic Pie 22:36, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

It's as though the space after my signature has somehow created a whole new line which just shows my timestamp.

Okay, let me take a look.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:46, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Give it a try now.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:49, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

No problem, it's what Project Welcome and Mentor is for. The problem was that you had forgotten to close your sup tags with a /sup. It could have also been that you still had a color span open inside the external link, but I think it was the sup that did it. I also tidied up your coding a little bit, out of personal preference. Sorry about that. :) -- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 23:15, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Like I said, no problem. And just so you know, anyone can join W, so when you feel ready, go for it. But just so you know, W deals more with basic editing, while Mentor deals with the more advanced stuff. Just remember to leave a note on my talk whenever you need something.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 23:29, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Oh it's okay, I only tidied it up so I could work on it easier, and it's your sig anyway. If you wanted one giant coagulated mess of coding, you could have it. :D -- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 23:37, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Why thank you, although I just kind of threw something together for my sig. Alas, I do not think Burgundy is a legit color, but here is a list of all the other colors you can use.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 23:45, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Like I said, no problem. Just let me know if you need anything else.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 23:56, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Hiya Acoustic

Not really sure what im doing on wiki just yet, still working it all out, in answer to your question, [shed] is basically a group of mates who play UD and have a safehouse in quarlesbank, we maintain the cemetary north of st benidicts and lend our support wherever we are needed, mostly been fighting for the mall recently and trying to keep up the barricades on the resouce buildings north of there, currently we're all a bit "Mrh?" tho :)

I expect we'll be up for being allies yar! i'll just run it past the other peeps, we're a bit disorganised as we have members who dont actually know we have a forum and our safehouse is rubble at the mo.--Silent badger 15:37, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Hiya again, not sure how else to contact ya but thought we'd give ya some feedback on the proposed new barricade plan, [shed] is still getting its act together, but we operate out of the wilmot hotel (shhh its a secret, thats why i didnt post ont the barricade page)so it will always be kept at EHD with the cornford at VS+2, our aims seem to be, maintenace of the graveyard at wilmot and reinforcemnt for the mall or Haslock, as we are halfway between the two. One of our members seems to rebuilding the movie industry too for some reason. --Silent badger 22:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Funny

your vote on the presige suggestion. I absolutely love the fact that it's followed by " 1. Kill Don't touch my freaking XP. CharonX 14:53, 28 November 2007 (UTC) " That's damn funny.--SeventythreeTalk 15:07, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Suggestions

Sorry, but there's a limitation: 1 suggestion per day for 1 person. It would be better if you'll chose one of that 3 yourself and remove other two, as anyway it would be done when some of mods will check in there --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 13:50, 29 June 2007 (BST)

Okay, done properly, you can set it up to where all you have to do is press the Button sig.png button. But you have to do some things first. Just so you know before hand, everything I'm talking about can be found here.

On your preferences page, check the box labeled Raw signatures (without automatic link).

Then, add the following line of code to the Nickname field.

{{SUBST:Nosubst|User:YourUserName/Sig}}

Save your preferences.

Give it a try, and then let me know if it works.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:15, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

You didn't use the template correctly. It's all there for you to use, so please make sure that you include all the things it asks you to.

I have fixed your suggestion template for you.

I recommend that you take your suggestions to the Developing Suggestions page first, rather than just posting them straight up. You will get some good feedback on your ideas, and help with how to present it in a better way. The wiki community will try to help you, but you'll be much more warmly embraced if you try to help yourself too. armareum 13:54, 30 June 2007 (BST)

Replace the red text with your suggestion (it can sometimes help to have it prepreared), and press preview to check that it displays okay. Fix any minor problems and the save the page. Then you should be able to put your Author Vote in. :) 'arm. 21:23, 4 July 2007 (BST)
PS. don't use this code, use the code that's present on the actual suggestion page - it displays differently here.

My suggestion, which i'm working on, put it here so i can alas figure out what to do with it:

Advanced Necronet

Timestamp: Acoustic Pie 20:13, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Type: Skill.
Scope: Survivors.
Description: I was thinking that for another 100XP you could buy this skill after you have bought all of the previous nectrotech skills, and it would let you see a 10x10 map when looking at necronet instead of the 9x9 it does at the moment, it would also highlight the NT buildings in the area. May not seem big, but it would be useful.

Not sure if it's a dupe, but i think this would be useful to people to have. As currently a mass mob of zombies could be hiding in the corners! Plus with highlighted NT's would help.

If there's a problem then you could have it so the map only highlights the NT you are in, however i don't see it as too much of a problem. And for anyone who says this is useless, some people may regard the wiki as a metagaming source and thus not use this, so this would be helpful to them.

Thank you. Oh and if anyone could think of a better name for this skill, it would be appreciated.

- Put up for voting --Acoustic Pie 19:53, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Discussion Advanced Necronet

HAven't made up my mind yet about the suggestion itself, but the name? Necrotech Privalaged access?--SeventythreeTalk 20:40, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Enhanced NecroNet?-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 20:43, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
What about NecroTech Technician? As that is to do with the more computer aspect of things. And with the acutual suggestion, i was thinking that it should highlight all the NT's in the area, not just the one you are in and they would be highlighted a light green.
For an addition i was thinking that: The square with the most zombies in should be highlighted (if there are two or more the same then they will both be highlighted) red, for ease of comparing where the biggest horde is to where you are, rather than trying to work out where you are on the map and where the biggest horde is. Acoustic Pie 20:48, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Did you mean "privileged"? As far as I know, the NT you're in is the center one so highlighting only it would be pretty useless. If the area would be increased from 9x9 to 10x10, there would be four center-blocks so it wouldn't work anymore, so it would be better to make it 11x11. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 20:50, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think that it is the centre one, i think that it just shows a 9x9 cutting off the bottom and the right corner. At least that's what it was from the NT in quarlesbank. Acoustic Pie 20:52, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Just checked at Topleaf and Copeland NTs in West Grayside. It works as I said. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 21:04, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

My suggestion for a name is Necrotech Elite Access. Gives it that "higher clearance" feel to it.--Doggie 20:56, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't think this should be a new skill. I think it should just be an interface tweak -- all it would do is highlight the tile you are in, nothing more. That's pretty reasonable -- it is quite hard to figure out where you are in those scans. --WanYao 12:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

This is annoying. Just thought up a very similar skill. Advanced necronet. As you get used to using the necronet you can look at its history files, log on sheets and power usage. My idea was that in game terms when you access the net all necrotech buildings have a small box on them, yellow for powered, grey for unpowered and black for ruined. Like this:

Draghty1.JPG

But you beat me to. so its all yours.....--Rosslessness 13:12, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank you Rosslessness, I shall use it and put it up for voting in a couple of days when people have finished adding what they want. So overall I'll put it up as an interface tweak, and change it to an 11x11 screen so you can see your whole suburb with your NT in the centre. Also I will do it so that your NT will have a little dark blue corner in it. And that, as suggested it will show other NTs as grey for unpowered and black for ruined, reflecting the without power and ruin bits on buildings in the areas. Thank you once again for the idea Ross! Acoustic Pie 20:08, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah, now we're getting somewhere! I'd totally vote for that! --Uncle Bill 02:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Did you put this up for voting?--Rosslessness 20:58, 27 November 2007
