 - Place of Origin: Island of Japan - Operational Status: Active (April 2020 - Present) - Identification: UD Profile - Origin Story: Umiko was born in a rural fishing village along the coast of Japan. Life within this small harbor village was a simple one. The morning air was overtaken with the sounds of ships sailing out to sea and fish markets auctioning off the fresh catch, while the night breeze was filled with the smells and sounds of ocean waves. At a young age her mother vanished into the dead of night, abandoning their family. Her father, a humble and hardworking fisherman, did the best that he could to raise a young girl on his own. Attached at the hip, father and daughter were inseperable, living the most joyous life they could. At the dawn of each day Umiko would send off her father, as he would voyage beyond the harbor to harvest the coastal schools of fish. Her simple life, of which she loved so dearly, was shattered one day when a rogue squall hit Japan's coast. Her father didnt' return to the safety of the harbor that evening. Local fisherman took to combing the waters along their coast, but to no avail. Heartbroken and alone, she could no longer take the days of mourning her father. From her family home, she slowly walked across the soft sand of the shore, into the waters deep. (To Be Continued...)
