==Thanks==
Thanks for all your work so far on the timeline. Looking forward to your contributions to the individual timelines as well. That's where the real meat of the project will be. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 05:10, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
:Hey I like the "This Month" thing you're doing. If you want to try to work it into Project Timeline somehow, thad'd be cool. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 22:31, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
::Thanks! All the information on there is already on Project Timeline (or comes from the pre-2005 backstory). I was thinking more along the lines of how many wikis have a "this day/week/etc. in (name of wiki topic)" on the front page - although I'm not quite good enough at wikicode yet to get something like that up and running. [[User:Bob Moncrief|Bob Moncrief]] 00:40, 24 June 2012 (BST)
:::[http://pastebin.com/xu4RUN9F Try this code] if you want something that will display events only for the current month. We use featured articles on the main page but that's not to say we couldn't also do a "This Month in UD". You'd probably want to put some discussion up at [[Template talk:Community Portal]] or even [[Talk:Main Page]]. And like I said, I'd be happy to have it on Project Timeline. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 16:56, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
::::Thanks so much! I'll definitely do that. [[User:Bob Moncrief|Bob Moncrief]] 18:49, 24 June 2012 (BST)
:::::No problem. I went ahead and moved it over to [[Template:UDThisMonth]] so I could play around with it. Gave you credit for proof of concept on the template talk page. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 21:16, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
::::::Awesome! I'll make sure to keep updating there as I go. [[User:Bob Moncrief|Bob Moncrief]] 21:18, 24 June 2012 (BST)

==Building updates==
Hey, I've noticed you've been doing a lot of awesome work with updating building statuses. One quibble though: you can and should take full credit for your updates. ;)

Basically, don't worry about the "//" stuff, and instead just replace whatever text and signature is there with your own. Radio updates are perfectly valid and useful, and yours are almost always much more relevant than the things they're replacing. Putting two messages up there can sometimes lead to contradictory information (e.g. the previous update said it was safe, while yours says it's ruined), so it's better to just go with whatever is most recent.

Also, I've noticed you in-game around Darvall a few times in the last few months. You even revived me once or twice. Thanks! {{User:Aichon/Signature}} 15:07, 28 June 2012 (BST)

:Hey thanks! Glad someone is noticing the updates. The main reason I've been doing the "//" is to clarify/explain what's going on. For example, if someone had a building as ruined a week ago, and the EMRP says it's lit but with zombies in the area, I'll leave the message before the "//" to explain why I'm putting it as "rebuilding" rather than "safe". I pretty much never leave a prior message if it's old or doesn't add any relevant information. But I'll feel free to cut back.
:And I'm glad to help out however I can in keeping Darvall safe & secure! [[User:Bob Moncrief|Bob Moncrief]] 15:11, 28 June 2012 (BST)
::I gotcha. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. We have the history of each page on the wiki if there are any questions about that type of stuff, and unless you do something really REALLY contentious, no one is going to challenge an update (especially if you're just radio stuff, since that's verifiable by anyone). Even so, good thinking. And if you see Orison Flynt around, feel free to say hi to me. :P {{User:Aichon/Signature}} 15:41, 28 June 2012 (BST)

== UDThisMonth ==

Hey, Bob. Got any ideas on how to spruce up {{tl|UDThisMonth}}? When transcluded, it does its job, but on its own, looks a little mundane. How would you feel about adding a little preamble to the top of the template? It won't be included when transcluded anywhere. Maybe add a couple of small links at the bottom to Project Timeline and Malton Incident. Thoughts? ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 00:08, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
:I'll hop right on that! I think I know how to use <nowiki><noinclude></nowiki>... [[User:Bob Moncrief|Bob Moncrief]] 00:53, 29 June 2012 (BST)

About the timeline, Active characters below 10.000 this month?
Odd, this is what the stats page says: Active Characters : 10268
Check your facts please -.- [[User:Peralta|-- Johnny Twotoes]] 20:57, 28 July 2012 (BST)
:Stats are updated every hour and usually you'll see a sudden drop at midnight and then a gradual climb throughout the day. I believe that's because midnight is when idled characters are made idle. According to the [http://www.urbandead.com/stats.csv stats log], the first time that we dropped below 10000 active was midnight on July 26th. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 21:54, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
:I was alerted by [[Talk:Statistics#Population|this message]], then cross-checked with the stats log. {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 00:42, 29 July 2012 (BST)

== FA wishlist ==

Hey, Bob  know you plan on putting up a bunch of articles on FA soon. I went over a few of the articles to make sure they fit the criteria. Made some changes to [[Guides:Managing Encumbrance]] and [[Play Style]]. I checked [[Zamgrh]] and didn't see any needed changes. I started in on [[Hiding in Plain Sight]] but that one still needs work. I'll list more here as I check them. Oh, and I'd like for you to add Gnome's game to FA voting when you do the deed. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 01:12, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
:Thanks so much! Gnome's game slipped my mind since I didn't think to include anything in userspace. Is there an official name to it, and should the featured page be just [[User:A Helpful Little Gnome]]? {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 01:25, 29 July 2012 (BST)
::I believe he calls it "World of Gnome" or at least I've heard it refered to as such. [[User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Chapters]] might be a good starting point, but his Userpage proper or the first page of the game would probably also work. Maybe Gnome should weigh in. Maybe he doesn't even want his game featured, though I suspect he probably won't mind. ~[[Image:Vsig.png|link=User:Vapor]] 02:32, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

== Radio Reports ==

You obviously have several radios active, I was wondering what frequency they use? I have a couple as well and it seems a bit more productive if we update status reports from different areas :) [[User:Peralta|-- Johnny Twotoes]] 19:04, 6 August 2012 (BST)
:I listen to the External Military Reports on 25.96 MHz, which covers the entire city (and provides 90% of the updates I do). I also follow the [[Soldiers of Crossman]] channel (26.43 MHz) as they're active in my area, Darvall Heights/Gatcombeton etc. I don't listen in on any of the [[Radio/Frequency List#26.00MHz through 26.20MHz - District Frequencies|District Frequencies]], 26.01 to 26.20, although I'm not sure how actively they're used, or the frequencies of any other groups. Hope that helps! {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 00:32, 7 August 2012 (BST)

Awesome job on all those candidates. Even though a good chunk won't make it, you deserve a cookie for pushing this thing as much as you did and getting those up.

==TRP Maps==
[[User:MHSstaff/TRPHub|See here.]] What do you think? The buildings should be mouse-overable. Anything you would recommend changing (either content or color-wise)? -[[MHS|<span style="color: Black">'''MHS'''</span>]][[User_Talk:MHSstaff|<span style="color: DarkBlue">'''staff'''</span>]] 05:04, 13 October 2012 (BST)
:Thanks! I'm not quite sure why you asked me (I think Johnny, Charles, or any number of other people are far more knowledgeable about how these map things work), but I'll lend my opinion. The colors are very bright, and while I bet you were going for standing out clearly from the background, I think turning them down a hex letter or two wouldn't hurt. But it's about a zatrillion times better than what we have currently. If you switch the maps and resubmit to FAs, I'd be surprised if it doesn't pass this time. {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 04:09, 14 October 2012 (BST)

do you use the WN template? if so, did you know that that's really bad? {{User:DanceDanceRevolution/a}} 11:18, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
:WHY IS IT BAD DDR? IS IT BECAUSE ITS STILL JUST AS IMPERSONAL AS IT WAS 5 YEARS AGo jesus christ I have been around a long time.--[[User:SA|SA]] 11:41, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
::Yarr, Some guy I never really got along with called Jorm has brought about 'empirical' evidence proving it actually drives users away. Something about mediawiki being very concerned about it, etc etc. {{User:DanceDanceRevolution/a}} 12:40, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
:::Dude, you were banned from his IRC server. That's a bit more than not getting along with him :P --[[User:SA|SA]] 12:57, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
:::: :( {{User:DanceDanceRevolution/a}} 13:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
:So I remember that somewhere there was a discussion about switching over to a new template. (Clicking around the [[Project Welcome]] talk page and template pages, I can't seem to find it.) But other users have been using WN too, so that's what I've been doing. Is there another template that's preferred? {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 22:05, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
::A personalized message written without a template is what is preferred. Jorm's studies pretty definitively showed that those sorts of boilerplate greetings were bad news. {{User:Aichon/Signature}} 23:50, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
:::Ah. Ok, I've ceased and desisted with the template. Should I leave it on the pages I've put it on, or replace it? {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 00:59, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
::::Well, I would often just write a bit of a more personal message. That choice is up to you. Wouldn't hurt, but meh it's a bit of work {{User:DanceDanceRevolution/a}} 01:14, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

You're doing pretty good with the page, keep it up.

Forget about it. 40% of the current roster are inactive, and in all my time I have never, ever seen someone picking a mentor in a formal way. - On an unrelated note, are you still sure that you wish to wait about applying for sys-op? ::I actually agree that this is a good time, at least as far as the wiki is concerned, but holding off a few months for when you're available is always a good idea. :In regards to the first part, is there an official procedure for decommissioning a project? Do I just put up a message on [[Talk:Project Mentor]] asking if anyone objects to closing it? {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 01:28, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
::It kinda just closes itself automatically by not being used. In other words people forget about it, so it doesn't really exist. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 18:09, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

Go ahead and revamp PM, the only problem I could see with it is the overall lack of activity on the wiki tbh.--[[User:SA|SA]] 10:38, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
:I feel like, with lack of activity, getting what activity there is concentrated in one (or a few) places is better than having it spread out everywhere. {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 17:29, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
