::::::Don't know. It's not against policy I don't think. I didn't go digging through old VB cases before I changed it. I can't imagine ruling vandalism on something like it, though. What grounds? ~ ~ 06:57, 16 April 2011

::::::::Iscariot had a similar one (may still have it as his sig). I found them troublesome, because the only way you can check who made the comment, is to check the history, or click on the link. We should be able to tell, just by mouseovering the link, who made a comment. Some wiki gurus have found a way around it, I think, so that mouseovering the image shows a link to the userpage. I don't think anyone bothered to send Iscariot, or anyone else, to A/VB for it though <small>-- <span style="text-shadow: #bbb 0.2em 0.2em 0.4em"><span style="color: Red">boxy</span> <span style="color: Red">talk</span> • teh rulz 12:50 16 April 2011 (BST)</span></small>
::::::::Basically, the arguement is that a link to your user page is required in your sig. A redirect from an image page doesn't exactly fit the criterian. It's not a problem when it's obvious who's sig it is (ie. if the image spells out the name, or a close approximation), but it has the potential to be used to be intentionally misleading <small>-- <span style="text-shadow: #bbb 0.2em 0.2em 0.4em"><span style="color: Red">boxy</span> <span style="color: Red">talk</span> • teh rulz 12:53 16 April 2011 (BST)</span></small>

:Nope, not a typo. Spambit is a colloquialism that began 2 years ago when Cheese accidentally pressed the "i" key instead of the "o" on his keyboard and it has stuck ever since. We even have an article dedicated to it: Spambit Hunters. I think including it on the Ipbreason-dropdown gives our wiki some personalization and makes the very mundane task of banning spambits a little bit more fun. I'd contest your decision to lock the edits to the page with the status shown as dangerous. Members of The Dead (frequently with little previous history of updates) have been regularly and repeatedly modifying the suburb danger levels there and elsewhere without any explanation or basis for doing so. If the status is to be locked (and I think it should be), it should have been locked in the status it was in prior to the vandal updates by The Dead.
Otherwise I'd like to hear your recommendation and it shouldn't be simply "work it out in talk" as this is a matter of vandalism for propaganda purposes by The Dead. --Lord K 03:20, 27 April 2011 (BST)
-Perform your job as wiki staff and review things instead of superfluously locking things.--Lord K 03:26, 27 April 2011 (BST)
:Actually his job in all of this would be to lock it prior to the desputed edit and send your asses off to arbitration. So, basically, make an A/A case and it'll get done and then settled. Be sure to actually have proof of why your version is correct, dumbwits of the suburb would work. :Without any basis for doing so? What basis do <i>you</i> have? We tend to just edit the danger levels once we've wrecked a suburb, occasionally correcting mistakes on other suburbs if we see them. We honestly don't really care enough about the danger levels that much considering their nature (updated manually / irregularly). Also, it seems like locking a danger level page is a <i>terrible</i> idea considering how quickly suburbs have been falling recently. By the by, we know everybody hates us, so we don't really have any need for "propaganda" beyond putting animated gifs on our group page. I don't know what's going through your head but in the case of Template:Wikipedia a soft redirect would require more than simply claiming the template is depricated(which, btw, not what depricated means). Only other discussion I took part in regarding the word spambit was the one on my talk page above. Truthfuly, this hasn't been discussed much. Maybe its because nobody seemed to have much of a problem with it before you. If you have such a problem with the word spambit, why not put it to a vote and see what majority have to say about it? :::I'm not ill informed and I'm not being petty, though I think this argument is petty. <u>My</u> point is that nothing was ever "settled" and I think its likely because you tend to treat editing comments as a means of confronting others on this wiki. A lot. I know you've been called out on this before and I'm not alone in my frustration. Just lighten up a bit, Karek.  The majority of your edits to the wiki shouldn't be about how someone has done something "wrong" and you should't expect that edit comments hold much weight in an actual discussion. ~ 02:59, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

And to both of you, it's irrelevant, you don't alter admin pages contents for intenal jokes and that's basic sense so stop acting like I'm being unreasonable for proposing the next logical step in an edit summary when a user has had it made clear to them in the past by multiple sysops that something isn't ok. --<small>Karek<font face="Monotype Corsiva">maps 2.0?!</font></small> 03:58, 14 August 2011 (BST)

::::I don't think VB is the place to deal with this. Harrison has as much "ownership" of that page as any of the sysops, given that he's a frequent spimbot reporter, and the page's main reason for being is to provide a place for regular users to report bots. He uses the page more than most sysops, actually. I think that the header should be spelled "bot" rather than "bit" (using the fun spelling on the official page just takes the point out of it, IMO), but I figure the best way to deal with it is just to change it back whenever I'm on the page. :::::I think arbies over spambits would be equal parts hilarious and sad. I hope it doesn't come to that (or a/vb) and can be settled in some other way. ::::::Yeah, especially since that's not an arbitable case. You don't arbitrate admin page content when it's an issue of clarification or humor simply because it's a bad idea. In this case there's clearly what it should be and what it's being changed to. To arbitrate something like that would be akin to arbitratin the A/VB noivces or recruitment guidelines(or suggestions rules because someone like 2cool might want the example links to their content). It's not procedurally sound and while this is relatively minor it's the kind of thing that would get misinterperted as precedent and intentionally abused. My response was keeping in kin with past warnings for that kind of edit to admin pages(take reporting yourself as a joke for example). If the consensus is rather we just waste time undoing it ad infinium I'm fine with that too so long as it's clear that he joke header is not the appropriate page content. --<small>Karek<font face="Monotype Corsiva">maps 2.0?!</font></small> 08:23, 14 August 2011 (BST)

Although I CBF making a big deal about it if people genuinely think it's worth fighting for, but I agree with Karek 100% on this regarding spambit's legitimacy on an admin page and that arbitration cannot be the place to take this. -- 10:13, 14 August 2011 (BST)
Since you explicitely ask for op opinions: I don't care either way. This isn't comparable to suggestion guidelines or the A/VB intro, it is just a descriptive title, and one where both variants are just one letter apart to boot. To resolve this and to ensure that the community prefers either spelling, I recommend a brief poll on Talk:A/VB/B. That would finally give us something substantial to put that dispute to rest. And I agree that arbies would be a.) overblown and b.) not the best place to resolve questions about a high-traffic admin page. --<span style="font-family:monospace; background-color:#222222"><span style="color:Lime"> Spiderzed</span><span style="color:Lime">█ </span></span> 12:04, 14 August 2011 (BST)

Government Order.
You seem an active person on this wikia, maybe you can understand my plan best. I hope this doesn't seem too random.
You know, I want to change Malton's government system from Anarchy to something better. A cooperation and rule system of multiple groups working together, at least for a start. You know, get the leaders of different top ranking groups and such, and different types(Revivers, Rebuilders, Zed-Mowers) to talk together and plan things together. Not just the odd two clan meshing thing, but groups staying their own, but working together..is that far fetched? Defender Of Weak 00:07, 30 September 2011 (BST)
:The idea isn't far fetched nor is it even unique. What you're describing is what we call an Organizaton and the closest thing to an government-like organization in Malton is the DEM. It would take a ton of networking, planning, organization, trial and error, time, grief and stress to do properly. Don't expect to simply throw together a wiki page and have people flock to it since its such a neat idea. If you're serious about it you've got to learn how to run a successful group first and then figure out how to bring together several groups. As one organization. It isn't something for the feint of heart. Running an organization will drain your time, your patience and your sanity. Consider seriously if it is something you truly want to try or if its just a neat idea. ~ 01:08, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

We have a problem.  RDD is apparently all pissed we didn't invite them (which is complete crap.  I invited one of them through RDD's irc channel and asked them to spread the word, but they told me to piss off.  Not to mention you don't really need an invite to join in the event.).  They're coming to grief the contestants.  They plan on striking the contestants, then hiding within the borders outside of the playing area.  Fortunately for the Malton Manhunt, however, a few BHers are offering their aid in keeping the RDD busy.  But if you were to ask me, we really need to change the playing area.  It's far too close to Ridleybank, which might cause a few alt issues with some of the contestants involved in that now joint CORAM/OBR/ZALP operation. -- 05:56, 23 October 2011 (BST)
:It's probably more likely that I picked their turf as a playing field than any other reason that they plan to grief us. I had planned to move it because of the proximity to ridleybank but irl hit me hard and time slipped away from me. If the contestants can agree on some other location this close to the event, I don't have a problem with it. Thanks for the help with the MOB recruitment ad. I was going to do something like that, but my editing skills are very lacking. I showed it to Bisfan, and he says it looks great too. --FLZombie 02:02, 31 March 2011 (BST)

Thanks but uhhh...I don't remember working on it. ~Vsig.png 04:24, 31 March 2011
Hmm. I wonder who did. I guess I misread the history folder or something. --FLZombie 07:15, 31 March 2011 (BST)
Do you mean this history report? You might be looking for User:Smyg, then but I see his only contribution is categorizing the ad with Category:Recruitment. ~Vsig.png 07:20, 31 March 2011
I figured it out. Yes, Smyg did categorize it, but I was referring to the bulk of the editing. It was actually created a few years ago. We had somehow lost track of this page, and it had remained unused for a while. I just really suck at understanding histories. It has gotten me in trouble before, so I usually just avoid looking at them. Thanks anyway for the clarification. --FLZombie 20:41, 2 April 2011 (BST)

:) It isn't an actual orphanage message. (I'd certainly not use an internal link for it.) It's rather poking the troll with a pointy stick. -- Spiderzed 14:44, 30 March 2011 (BST)

Heh I figured. Considering he won't be able to come and link his own page anyway. But honetly I think a small yellow box at the top of the page letting everyone viewing it know it is an Orphan won't hurt. Maybe just maybe someone will care enough to link it somewhere. Developing Events Workspace

Totally for the idea, not for the idea of DDR complaining about it. I'll see about mocking up something for us to improve on in the next few days, I'll have more time starting friday. Right now I think the major purpose of it should be developing event articles since those are actually developing content and not simply under construction pages(which should just have the template added). The difference being one doesn't have facts yet and the other obviously just needs work. --Karekmaps?! 08:41, 7 April 2011 (BST)

Sounds good. I'll help when and where I can. I agree the focus should be on developing events. Maybe Developing Good Articles would be a worthwhile project in the future, though. Like Developing Guides but with a focus on helping people create/expand articles into general awesomeness. ~Vsig.png 14:53, 7 April 2011
I could actually swear that there is an underused area from a long time ago for general article development. --Karekmaps?! 16:25, 7 April 2011 (BST)
Possibly UDWiki:Style Guide? What are your thoughts on namespace for developing events? I thought it might be good if it is attached to Current Events in some way, although that page is dismally underkept. Of course Developing Events would work just fine. ~Vsig.png 07:25, 8 April 2011
Like most developing pages, I believe we paste them on wiki news. Current events would be an alright portal for developing pages, maybe talk:current events, either way, as long as you put a notice on the main page, traffic and help will come regardless of how unkept the page is otehrwise. -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 11:14, 8 April 2011 (BST)
Actually, I just noticed something in my ProjDev pages when I was about to make a new one to develop this in. I actually think we could potentially mutate that into something for this with little effort. Feel free to edit it in places you think it could use some more work to be better fit for this kind of thing(like with all my ProjDev stuff actually).--Karekmaps?! 04:44, 9 April 2011 (BST)
That's pretty cool, man. I could see that turning to a hub for development pages such as Developing Suggestions, Developing Guides, Developing Events and Developing Good Articles and a multitude of other things like UDWiki:Projects, Technical Help, Wiki Questions and so on. Maybe through smart use of subpages and inclusions one could simply use this page to get an overview of things that are in development. I'll try to put some work into it. ~Vsig.png 19:33, 9 April 2011

Wholesale spambit slaughter

You sir, are the bane of internetis spambiticus. Well done, sir. Well done.--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 16:12, 8 April 2011 (BST)

If you're ever in the mood for a good laugh, try clicking on the links in some of these spam pages (carefully of course. make sure you know where that link will take you). These recent spammers are using links to other wikis which they have sapmmed up, creating an endless loop of spamdexing links. If I really really wanted to fuck their shit up, I would just follow the links, blanking each wiki page as I went along. I sometimes wonder if there is a master program at the end, like if you I went through enough spammed wiki pages I would find MCP and destory him with light discs. End of line, MCP. End. Of. Line. ~Vsig.png 16:29, 8 April 2011
you.. go outside for a walk. -- The preceding signed comment was added by these amazing looking bitch 16:32 8 April 2011 (UTC)
I don't know what I'm talking about, but clicking spammed links tells the spambots' command & control center that this wiki is active and full of people willing to click their links and maybe buy their junk, summoning an even greater spambot invasion. --VVV RPGMBCWS 21:29, 9 April 2011 (BST)
I don't really think that selling junk is the primary directive of the bots. They're trying to increase their client's page ranking on search engines like google by placing the link an any open channel on the internet possible. Wikis are at jeopordy since anyone can edit nearly any wiki page but blogs and other types of sites that allow comments from users are also at risk. They're trying to make it so that when someone does a google search on let's say "Jobs in Minnesota", one of the top results will be their own. Its called spamdexing. ~Vsig.png 21:38, 9 April 2011

Crat elections

I was originally bound to vote for Mis, but with his pending demotion, that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. Checking the sys-op list and thinking about it, I think you would be the next best candidate - you act very level-headed, manage to remain neutral and enter drama only as much as necessary, which are IMHO the three key traits of a good crat. Would you be up for running in May? You'd be bound to receive my support. -- Spiderzed 21:18, 10 April 2011 (BST)

Spider and you are the only ones prominent enough to beat DDR, right now. Yon, not trusting one as inexperienced as you, will back DDR, and the other sysops will lack the influence to play major roles. I think you're more popular than Spider (due to your levelheadedness and centrism). With Spider behind you, you could stand a chance of beating DRR. I wouldn't count on it (though I am always willing to wager golden fiddles), since he's got so much more experience, and many of the less-active voters will remember his productivity without having seen yours. But if DDR is to be evicted, you're the guy to do it. --VVV RPGMBCWS 22:05, 10 April 2011 (BST)
As always, I'll back Red, and should he not receive enough support, I'll most likely change to DDR, also as usual. I'd assume I'll also leave my name on the ballot unless it becomes a close race between two candidates. (Once again as I always do). If DDR decides not to run, I'll go to Boxy (who I'd bet is more likely to take down DDR than Vapor) and then Vapor after Boxy.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:08, 10 April 2011 (BST)
You've also got to consider historic association, where boxy has a lot of pull, plus my vote which will swing the whole election. I'm thinking thad. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:09, 10 April 2011 (BST)
I wouldn't be completely closed to the idea but certainly there are better candidates were they willing to run. Unless DDR intends not to run then boxy comes to mind first. If Red were more active he'd be a great crat. ~Vsig.png 22:18, 10 April 2011
DDR has exceeded my expectations, and I can definitely imagine him running unopposed. But I don't understand this hubbub about Boxy. If you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. Now, you've made a pretty good sysop, boy, but give a layman his due. I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, that boxy won't win the election. --VVV RPGMBCWS 22:33, 10 April 2011 (BST)
If DDR doesn't run, Boxy will win the election. There are 3 crats on this wiki; Ross, DDR and Boxy. If DDR runs, it'll be fairly tight, but Boxy's been a bit inactive, so he probably won't win. If DDR doesn't win, almost all of his votes will drop on to Boxy.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:37, 10 April 2011 (BST)
So either Trips gets my soul or the wiki does....hmmm. Well at least I'd get a shiny gold fiddle. That sells it. ~Vsig.png 22:42, 10 April 2011
Theres more crats out there than just us 3. Besides, its not bloody hard. Any fool can do it. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:46, 10 April 2011 (BST)
The majority of people really don't want anybody else though. You and DDR to make the right decisions on renewal, Boxy the right decisions on removal. That's how I see it at least.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:49, 10 April 2011 (BST)
That's what the election is for though. To see what the majority wants. You're probably right but you can't make that call a month before the election begins. ~Vsig.png 23:00, 10 April 2011
Too bad that Vapor won't run. I might have to run myself then, in order to create any illusion of democracy on UDWiki, assuming that Boxy will withdraw once more early. (And while I think that I have some popularity, I'm probably far too opinionated to sway any majority.) -- Spiderzed 23:02, 10 April 2011 (BST)
I didn't say I wouldn't run. ~Vsig.png 23:04, 10 April 2011
Rev is going to win by a trillion earned votes guys, no point discussing I'm afraid. -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 23:05, 10 April 2011 (BST)
I always try and aim to get at least one technically proficient crat in place, preferably in different countries. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 23:06, 10 April 2011 (BST)
Allow me to hunt Rev down by the end of the month and confiscate his puter! -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 23:09, 10 April 2011 (BST)

This discussion has got me thinking: How hilarious would a voting preferences system be on UDWiki's crat elections. And by funny I mean awful. -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 06:19, 11 April 2011 (BST)

Well, in practice we essentially have one. The alternative would be locking votes after they've been made, but with the amount of drop outs, it would be quite disastrous.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 11:06, 11 April 2011 (BST)
Yeah a lot of peeps will even state their preference in their vote. I could see how it might be beneficial when a sysop drops after receiving some votes but man that would be a real pain in the ass to tally. ~Vsig.png 14:42, 11 April 2011

I'm feeling lucky. C'mon big money. The problem was that you were using a pipe inside of your ifdef statement. You have to use if you want a pipe. I also manually defined the ifdef variables using 1= for the first variable and 2= for the second. I've found that it is sometimes necessary as well. ~Vsig.png 05:27, 14 April 2011

Don't know. It's not against policy I don't think. I didn't go digging through old VB cases before I changed it. I can't imagine ruling vandalism on something like it, though. What grounds? ~ Smallv.png ~ 06:57, 16 April 2011
Will peruse and get back to you. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 12:39, 16 April 2011 (BST)
Iscariot had a similar one (may still have it as his sig). I found them troublesome, because the only way you can check who made the comment, is to check the history, or click on the link. We should be able to tell, just by mouseovering the link, who made a comment. Some wiki gurus have found a way around it, I think, so that mouseovering the image shows a link to the userpage. I don't think anyone bothered to send Iscariot, or anyone else, to A/VB for it though -- boxy talkteh rulz 12:50 16 April 2011 (BST)
Basically, the arguement is that a link to your user page is required in your sig. A redirect from an image page doesn't exactly fit the criterian. It's not a problem when it's obvious who's sig it is (ie. if the image spells out the name, or a close approximation), but it has the potential to be used to be intentionally misleading -- boxy talkteh rulz 12:53 16 April 2011 (BST)
I remember that actually, found it cause of you archiving stuff. Link to that discussion and the solutions there in. Here is another instance of that being brought up. Found a few more too. Would it be acceptable if I used an image with my entire username in it without including an actual link to my user page. Nope, not a typo. I don't really want to change it. ~Vsig.png 14:13, 22 April 2011

--Lord K 03:20, 27 April 2011 (BST) -Perform your job as wiki staff and review things instead of superfluously locking things.--Lord K 03:26, 27 April 2011 (BST)

Actually his job in all of this would be to lock it prior to the desputed edit and send your asses off to arbitration. So, basically, make an A/A case and it'll get done and then settled. Be sure to actually have proof of why your version is correct, dumbwits of the suburb would work. Otherwise your both wasting everyones time. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 04:27, 27 April 2011 (BST)

Without any basis for doing so? What basis do you have? We tend to just edit the danger levels once we've wrecked a suburb, occasionally correcting mistakes on other suburbs if we see them. We honestly don't really care enough about the danger levels that much considering their nature (updated manually / irregularly). Also, it seems like locking a danger level page is a terrible idea considering how quickly suburbs have been falling recently. By the by, we know everybody hates us, so we don't really have any need for "propaganda" beyond putting animated gifs on our group page. Template:Wikipedia

I don't know what's going through your head but in the case of Template:Wikipedia a soft redirect would require more than simply claiming the template is depricated(which, btw, not what depricated means). In this case a standard redirect is actually functionally better. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 07:03, 6 June 2011 (BST)

Basically it's just moronic to delete either of those redirects until the template isn't in use anywhere on the wiki. At which point a soft redirect to inform users of the new template is a reasonable step. As such I reverted them back to actual redirects for the sake of common sense.--Karekmaps 2.0?! 07:10, 6 June 2011 (BST)
Well then fix it or undelete it or whatever you feel is necessary. It was three days past voting and untouched by any other ops so I made a call. Technically it could have just been flat out deleted but I kept it based on some suggestions during voting. ~Vsig.png 07:19, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
By the way, the vote passed as a delete. Merge votes include an implicit delete so it was 5 to 4 in favor of deleting. ~Vsig.png 07:21, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, SC2. I have it but have since uninstalled it to make room on the laptop's HDD. I can reinstall it to take up your challenge, though. Since we're across the pond from one another, we'll have to work around time zones. I typically don't play games until my daughter sleeps, which is generally about 10PM. I'm in CDT which is probably like 7AM for you. At times, I'll stay up until 2AM or so playing so if you're up for SC2 between 7AM and 10AM, we should set a time. ~Vsig.png 17:16, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Image's most recent revision was in April 2010. The bot edit in July 2011 is adding a template saying that it is unlinked.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 12:31, 2 August 2011 (BST)
Yeah, from July 29th. That's why I thought we were supposed to wait two weeks from it being unused, not from image creation. Otherwise, we could technically delete something like File:Dead-Transparent.png the instant it became unused, as it has been around since 2009. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 13:01, 2 August 2011 (BST)
And that's why scheduled tasks are not mandatory, there are common sense acceptions and always have been. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 15:33, 3 August 2011 (BST)
Nah, its always been images which are on the unused files list and which are at least two weeks old. That particular image was unused due to a page deletion, actually. Typically when i delete a page with images, I'll go ahead and delete the images too if it was only used on that page. Its just regular maintenance. ~Vsig.png 18:13, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
That particular one was the first in the series. I was more keeping an eye on the Malton Carabinieri pages. However, that is an interesting, if unusual way to do things. I'll mention to The General that The Generalbot needs to have a clarification so as to not confuse people. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 09:30, 3 August 2011 (BST)
Meh, not really unusual just meticulous. In regards to the Malton Carbenari images, I didn't realize that you were trying to talk them into archiving their group page. If they decide they want to go that route, the images can be undeleted via A/U. As for the generlbot, it might not be a bad idea to be more specific with orphaned image notification. Orphanedimage mentions it will be deleted after two weeks, but notification is not specific that it is two weeks from the upload date. ~Vsig.png 15:11, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Through standard wiki functions there's no way to tell when an image became unused iirc. So it's more or less always meant upload is used unfortunately. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 15:31, 3 August 2011 (BST)
Considering your bot posts the messages just base it off the time it posted the notifications.        23:11, 3 August 2011 (BST)
Its The General with the bot and I more had in mind asking him to add a word ot two to the script so that it is more explicit that unused images may be deleted two weeks from their upload date. ~Vsig.png 23:39, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Probably wouldn't have looked as idiotic if you hadn't participated in the discussions. Nice try though. N--Karekmaps 2.0?! 00:18, 14 August 2011 (BST)

Did you read the discussion that you've refered to? Probably not or you'd know that was in reference to the use of an image of a can of spam in the header. At the least, don't tell others you're going to take them to a/vb and over something you're so alone on. ~Vsig.png 02:04, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Dude, it's an admin page and the discussion about spambits was settled like 6 months ago when sexualharrison kept changing it so it's not like this is a new thing, the a/vb warning was in light of that and the fact that he knows he's not supposed to be doing it. The image thing was a shoehorn in reference to that done by akule and contains references to the section name aswell. I don't know if you're being petty or are jst ill informed but your making a fool of yourself and that was my point. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 02:15, 14 August 2011 (BST)
I'm not ill informed and I'm not being petty, though I think this argument is petty. My point is that nothing was ever "settled" and I think its likely because you tend to treat editing comments as a means of confronting others on this wiki. A lot. I know you've been called out on this before and I'm not alone in my frustration. Just lighten up a bit, Karek. The majority of your edits to the wiki shouldn't be about how someone has done something "wrong" and you should't expect that edit comments hold much weight in an actual discussion. ~Vsig.png 02:59, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
i still consider this very unsettled. there was never a discussion, just you telling me to not to do it. with threats of vb.--User:Sexualharrison03:40, 14 August 2011 (bst)
You know edit conflicts are a real bitch on the phone but, since I lost my original comment. There was discussion ages back, you know better about that specific edit and it's been reverted an ungodly number of time now by multiple other sysops. Vapor, I don't put ANY weight in edit summaries, especially as warnings. And to both of you, it's irrelevant, you don't alter admin pages contents for intenal jokes and that's basic sense so stop acting like I'm being unreasonable for proposing the next logical step in an edit summary when a user has had it made clear to them in the past by multiple sysops that something isn't ok. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 03:58, 14 August 2011 (BST)
No, it has been changed like three times and only reverted by you. In fact Boxy once changed it to Spimbots just to annoy you. And if discussion took place ages ago it has somehow ceased to exist because I don't see it. This isn't irrelevant. You are overreacting. You need to just let it go. ~Vsig.png 05:04, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Meh, like I said I didn't report for a reason. I disagree with everything you've said but, that it's not worth the time for a case arbitration or vandal. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 08:15, 14 August 2011 (BST)
Basically, I didn't take it to a/vb for a reason, I want him to see reason but, at this point it's more than clear that the changin the header isn't ok if for no reason other than he's had it reverted so many times and it's an admin page with sysops reverting it. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 04:04, 14 August 2011 (BST)
I don't think VB is the place to deal with this. Without this drama, they'll get sick of it ;) It's arbitration material, if anything -- boxy 06:46, 14 August 2011 (BST)
I think arbies over spambits would be equal parts hilarious and sad. I hope it doesn't come to that (or a/vb) and can be settled in some other way. Simply looking the other way or reverting it without fuss would seem to be the best solution, honestly. ~Vsig.png 07:07, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, especially since that's not an arbitable case. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 08:23, 14 August 2011 (BST)
I think its rather clear its a joke and harmless but if you're concerned it would get misinterpereted for precedent, I have no qualms about linking to this discussion. I will archive this topic tomorrow so it can be more easily linked once you find an appropriate place to do so. ~Vsig.png 09:39, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Although I CBF making a big deal about it if people genuinely think it's worth fighting for, but I agree with Karek 100% on this regarding spambit's legitimacy on an admin page and that arbitration cannot be the place to take this. -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 10:13, 14 August 2011 (BST)

-- Spiderzed 12:04, 14 August 2011 (BST)

The suggestion is for a change in where eyeglasses (the same ones Zombies can start out with) can be changed when revived.

"I've run around and changed all my nasty, bloodstained clothing, all but these dirty glasses."

Right now they can only be changed in Malls. My suggestion is that they be included in Towers and Hotels/Motels as these are also places folks may have left them behind.

I think it's a great idea.

LMK, what you think.

-- Taecsmall.jpg DirtManT|FU|StäV 06:11, 20 August 2011 (BST)

Hm that's a bit of a tough one. I'll admit I'm not the best source for suggestion system questions but I'll try to help. You don't see too many clothing related suggestions and the ones you do see are usually found at Clothes/Suggestions. That page is more for the suggestion of new clothing though, not changes. I'd go ahead and put your idea up on Developing Suggestions to get feedback and help with it. The type would be "flavor", the scope is survivors and the description can be simple. Just something like "Make eyeglasses an article of clothing available inside towers and hotel/motel". ~Vsig.png 07:53, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

The idea isn't far fetched nor is it even unique. ~Vsig.png 01:08, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Red October 2

--•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 05:56, 23 October 2011 (BST)

It's probably more likely that I picked their turf as a playing field than any other reason that they plan to grief us. I had planned to move it because of the proximity to ridleybank but irl hit me hard and time slipped away from me. If the contestants can agree on some other location this close to the event, I don't have a problem with it. I would suggest just shifting it one or two burbs west or east.maybe a bit more north. ~Vsig.png 06:34, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Never even heard of RDD. And CORAM hasn't heard of any "joint CORAM/OBR/ZALP operation". Sounds like it will make the whole event a lot more, uh, interesting though. If we do move then a square playing field would be better than a cross shaped one. Anyway - it would appear that RDD, whoever they are, are total fags who drink their parents' stagnant pee pee and finger each other's bottoms, and so on.     : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : 10:38, 23 October 2011

On a side note, if we move the competition, they will more than likely follow us to wherever we end up going.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 11:14, 23 October 2011 (BST)

I have no problem with them shooting Yon. --Hey Sweden! 11:29, 23 October 2011 (BST)
I'm fine leaving it where it is, too. B0nktoberfest is wrapping up and really is far enough away that it shouldn't cause alt conflict problems. Last year MOB came through the playing field and we were able to deal. It'll be fine just a bit more challenging. ~Vsig.png 16:44, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
As someone with an alt in Ridleybank, I am also fine with leaving it. There should be plenty of space between the two. I just want to know if we get points for killing purples or will it just be for fun when I can't find any reds?--Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Sunday, 23 October 2011
I'll take it under consideration for a few days before saying yea or nay. I would prefer that teams focus on the event and not get sidetracked by hunting jazzberries. Perhaps I'll add a point or two to the team with the most documented purple kills, that way the incentive for retaliation isn't as bad. ~Vsig.png 23:12, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
