"We find the building with the thickest walls and strongest doors and we barricade ourselves in, sit tight, wait for help." ~Peyton Wells

Characters

Wayson, currently a member of Knights Templar.
Knight Errant, dual nature.

History

  • Started UD in November 2008, played around for a month as a survivor and a zombie on various characters.
  • Joined Pole Mall Security in Feb 2009, in reaction to the imminent threat of Mall Tour '09.
  • Helped coordinate the defense of Pole Mall for nearly a week, until Mall Tour managed to get (and maintain) a beachhead in the SE corner. The Mall fell in short order after dozens of zombies shambled through the breach, but since we did last almost a week, MT credited us with 'fighting well'.
  • Attempted (and failed) to hold the NT buildings in West Grayside when MOB invaded in early July 09. Subsequently attempted (and failed) to rally PMS members to retake critical buildings in West Grayside when MOB left.
  • Resigned as commander of Base Operations in PMS, joined the Knights Templar on 20 July 2009.
  • Commenced awesomeness.

Beliefs

When a mall is attacked by a horde, the horde never has to fight the entire population of the mall. They fight one corner and whittle down its defenders, while the population of all the other corners sits by, does nothing, and imagines that they are successfully defending. Eventually the one corner under attack falls, zombies pour into the mall, and all the idiots in the other corners allow this to happen because it's not 'their' corner and therefore they don't have to defend it. Within hours, they predictably die, but not before congratulating themselves for 'defending' the mall.

The UBP is well-intentioned but poorly conceived. A few entrypoints are necessary; keeping TRPs VSB++ is simply retarded. I understand that new players don't have free-running, but keeping places like PDs VSB++ is impossible and forces people to waste AP undoing overcading, while keeping TRPs VSB++ means that a fast attack can ruin the building before survivors can raise the cades. Plus, idiots will continue to follow the UBP (destroying cades, etc) even when a horde is present in the suburb.

The Rogues Gallery is a joke. First off, most murders in Malton are never reported anyways. Secondly, only the obsessive compulsive will add every single person listed on the RG to their contacts in the hope of hunting them down and killing them. As a result, the people who end up doing most of the work are (surprise) the people who reported PKing to the RG in the first place. The idea behind the RG is that it legitimizes retaliating against known PKers, but in fact the RG also ends up featuring innocents whose only 'crime was killing PKers who had never been reported to the RG/were no longer on the RG but still PK'd. The fight against PKers should be left to individual survivor groups; as the boots on the ground at the scene, they know best who to target. Vigilante justice is still justice; killing people because their name is on a list is not.
