...Nuff said.

I remember it all, like it was some nightmare I can't get out of my head. A full battalion flying into Malton by way of UH-60A RASCAL Black Hawks. It's a sight to behold, one thousand of Americas finest, from the 101st Airborne Division.

We were told their was a civil unrest, riots, and some type of outbreak of unknown origin. Something was wrong in my gut, and I always trust my gut.

We arrived at the LZ o3:00 hours. the green hew from the night vision was blinding from all the dust the rotors were throwing around. All the bits of reflective surfaces made me spot blinded, as we all repelled down the static lines.

I being the last one down, I saw the carnage already begun. Their was hundreds of them, a wall of what I assumed was angry civilians roiting. I was never so wrong in my life. They appeared weaponless, but advanced without heeding the multiple warnings.

"Remember, rules of engagement still apply. These are civilians ... your mother, father, brother, sister, and so forth. Do not fire unless fired upon. Do I make myself clear ladies!"

The first to breach the line, grabbed one of the soldiers, and I watched her bite him in the neck. Instictivly he fired and greymatter splashed the man next to him. In the confusion another one was grabbed, this time by multiple targets. His M16-A1 arced up, and clipped the blades of one of the Black Hawks, sending smoke billowing threwout the night sky.

"What the hell! Captain! Holy Shit! Go ... gooo ... go,go,go!"

The pilot unable to stabilize, has the chopper crash into a second. Both explode, as debris of metal and burning fuel rain down upon us.

"AHHH! Nooooo! Get back!"

The line was broken before it was even set truely set up, we were flanked on all sides, no where to go, we set up three ranks in a horseshoe pattern. When the first row was out of ammo the second row stepped up to take their place, it was common practice, the men knew the role, and perfected it.

"You like that! Oh you want some too!"

They were coming out of the dust storm in endless numbers. For every headshot their was two more to take the place. It was then that I realised, these were not drunken rioters. They were walking dead! Thier moaning is horrific, sending chills down the spine of the most war hardened.

"Relaoding!"

These fears were brought to life by many of the battalion, when what used to be a child holding a doll, walks out from the cloud unbalanced, and with no bottom jaw bone.

"Hold the line damnit, hold the fuckin' line!"

Screams can be heard all around, as our numbers are decimated, and thier ranks are replentished by those we dropped moments before. Before I can even soak it all in, our Battalion is reduced to a handful of fighters. Hell, the Hawks didn't even taken off to head back to base.

"Check your six! Two more!"

One brave pilot landed to take some soldiers aboard and emergency evacuate, but, in doing so also let on one of them. The night sky lights up light a orange and yellow strobelight, and the three round burst can be heard echoing for miles in all directions.

M203s are lobbed into the air, and land deep within the crowd. Bodies fly, and the ground shakes. The moaning increases, as if they are drawn to the sound.

"Help me ... HELP MEEEEE!"

One of the soldiers swandives out of the chopper backwards shooting at the monster only to land a sea of undead. He was snatched by multiple hands and ripped apart as he still continued to fight on in vain.

"Clip! Give me a goddamn clip!"

I turn away from the grusome scene, and I am faced with a surreal situation. We are all over run, and quickly running out of ammo. I watch as one of my men turns his side arm on himself, and takes his own life.

I take aim and continue to fire, going threw clip after clip. I realise I am the only one firing, the only one talking, ... the only one left.

CLICK!

I drop my M16, and reach for my side arm. Thier are way too many to take out, saving one for myself was starting to sound smart. At that moment the gun is taken from hands of death, and I begin to feel them bitting me. I can feel the blood pouring out of each wound. With every new rip I slip in and out of counciousness.

"I'll see you bastards in hell ..."
