Edit Speed

Hi bob, just wondering how long it takes for my edits to actually change the site. --Desert Roamer (talk) 22:34, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Hey Desert Roamer, your edits should be instantaneous. Sometimes if high-traffic pages are edited they may take a minute or so. But nothing short of "practically" instant. THE CENTRAL SCRUTINIZER 11:20, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
There's also a layer of "percolation". If you edit e.g. a suburb DangerStatus, it can take one to ten minutes for it to change the actual map on the Suburb page, for example, depending on the length of the job queue. Bob Moncrief EBDW! 16:06, 9 November 2018 (UTC)

Update suburb danger level

Hey Bob, I updated Lockettside's danger level, it shows on the lockettside page but it is not (yet?) reflected on the city map page. Is this normal or did I do it wrong?--EasyDinner (talk) 19:58, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

EDIT; I just read the comment above, guess that answers my question ;D --EasyDinner (talk) 20:00, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Yup, it can take a few minutes for changes on one page to propagate to other pages. If you want to speed things along, there is a trick you can do: go to the page you want to see updated (e.g. City Map), edit it, and then save it without making any changes. Doing so won't actually change the page's content at all, but it will force that page to refresh any content that it gets from elsewhere. ;) Aichon 20:16, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
