Welcome!

Hi CyberOpposition! I noticed your recent edits to NWO and file upload, and wanted to officially welcome you to UDWiki on behalf of Project Welcome! If you have any questions or need any help, don't hesitate to message anyone on that page or contact me directly at my talk page. Have a great day! Bob Moncrief EBDW! 02:11, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Certainly! It seems like you've done pretty well getting the NWO page up and running. You may want to replace some of the "Unknown"s in the Groupbox with information. But beyond that, great job! Bob Moncrief EBDW! 16:08, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
I actually think you've done excellently. NWO has a much snazzier look than the group I've made (Malton Taoist Temple). You might want to edit your recruitment ad to include a little bit of explanation about what kind of group you are, especially since you're one of the less common group types ("cult") - that way people can get a sample of who you are and, if interested, are more likely to visit the group page itself. Hope that helps! Bob Moncrief EBDW! 17:10, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Hiya

I saw your group page, it looks pretty nice! I wouldn't worry too much about finding members, if you keep talking to people in-game and then asking them if they are looking for a group, I'm sure you'll find some people eventually. Check out the malls, maybe? They always have a lot of survivors hanging out! I think graffiti could also be a nice way to get some members, too? Good luck!

Thanks!(: I guess I'm going to stick to recruiting in game for a while and see how that goes. I appreciate the feedback too! CyberOpposition 03:56, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

I wouldn't mind joining temporarily, I am currently working alongside some internet friends and will probably form a group in the future, though. But for now I can join if you'll have me, I'm hanging out around Ackland mall :) ~QuinnrW! 01:24, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Quick FYI

Hey, I noticed that your gas mask logo that you were using for your recruitment ad was rather large in filesize (282KB), but there's a limit for how large the images can be on that particular page (each ad is only allowed 56KB of images). I've gone ahead and uploaded a new version of your image to replace your existing one. The new one takes up about 1/7th as much space (43KB), but it looks pretty much visually identical, that way it's not running afoul of any rules or guidelines. If you don't like the new one for some reason, feel free to undo my changes, though you'll need to revise your ad as well in order to get under the 56KB limit some other way. Regardless, glad to have you here. Aichon 02:28, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

No, that was my bad. Thanks for fixing that for me I really appreciate it. It did give me a warning so I tried different file types. Thanks. CyberOpposition 03:56, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Stuff

Guides has some stuff on recruitment, including my own thoughts. If you're doing PKing have a look at the PKA forum as well. --Rosslessness 07:31, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

I've read your guides. It's a mixed group, I know how PK group would work. Was just wondering if you had anything to say about the group or not. Thanks for replying. CyberOpposition 22:42, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Also, the PKA forum is a bit dead and i never received a validation email. CyberOpposition 19:29, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

I don't frequent the site, but from what I hear from those who do, the activity is happening behind closed doors on the forum, rather than in public view. Aichon 19:57, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
Well, it would be cool to get a validation email or something lol. I don't expect to get to involved with the PKA because my focus is on my own group and I expect it to become a handful. CyberOpposition 20:08, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
If the validation e-mail isn't forthcoming, you might want to hit up Revenant or one of the other admins to give you administrative approval of your registration. Aichon 20:32, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
Meh, Forum seems dead. CyberOpposition 05:26, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
As I said, most of the conversations are happening behind closed doors on the forum. I.e. You need to be granted access before you can even see them. So, yes, it'll seem dead until you have such access, though it's only "dead" in the sense that a video game developer "isn't doing anything" until they actually announce their new game, even though it's been in the works for years behind closed doors. Aichon 14:42, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Even behind those closed doors, the PKA is pretty much dead. Development of PKer plans is rather happening on group forums these days. -- Spiderzed 15:49, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
I wish it wasn't a dead forum. The first clue was having to hit up a dinosaur to get access to a forum. They should be managing these things without the members having to do more work than the admins. You also lost me when you mentioned game developer too... CyberOpposition 17:26, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
