I think the map is wonderful too! Happy --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:24, 8 October 2012 (BST)

Thanks for all the brainstorming to grind down that code. Couldn't have done it without you. -Charles Whipplebotum 03:10, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Quick Link

Here, for reference, is a bit.ly link to the DangerCenter: [1] Bob Moncrief EBDW! 12:56, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

My hat is off to you.

I saw this pop up on community projects and took a look. At first I thought it was a pet project that had to be updated in some cryptic and specific way. Then I updated a few buildings and refreshed. All I can say now is good on you. This may be the single most useful global wiki resource since the suburb map. Get some boiler plate description on this and I would be surprised if it does not end up with a permanent quick link on the main page. --Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Sunday, 14 October 2012

Ever since finishing work on this, Charles has dropped down in a gutter, passed out and hasn't come out since, and I can't even look at the page code without crying just a little bit, so I'm afraid it's currently on hold. Any suggestions for that boiler plate description are more than welcome though. And thanks for all the positive feedback :) PB&J 10:54, 14 October 2012 (BST)
Wow I never knew you were so emotionally invested in this Johnny. I would also like to announce that I have added Suburb-sized Danger Reports to the Suburb pages. -Charles Whipplebotum 03:15, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
After everything we did on this and you dissappeared, so yeah, I was kind of sensitive back then :P PB&J 19:57, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I had a new job to secure, which starts Friday! And besideds I replied when you e-mailed me... eventually. -Charles Whipplebotum 20:18, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Hey man, I was in a dark place... PB&J 21:07, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Like I said, this is an amazingly powerful resource, and at the very least it should be a link on the main page, even with the lag (which only appears occasionally on my machine). Kudos to you! --Dark Fields 22:55, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
This is really a helpful tool for everyone. I can`t see myself not using this anymore. It makes things much easier. I already told you guys about this, but once again: You made a fantastic job! Good work and thanks for this amazing tool! -- Travis Vercetty 22:10, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Custom Map Requests

I figured this is what people will want next. Post your request here with the suburb numbers you would like included in your custom map. And remember, more suburbs means less page content. Please be patient, we'll do our best to get them done in a timely manner. -Charles Whipplebotum 18:33, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

  • Note: we accept suburb names and special requests as well, but would like to remind you that specific maps are to be as small as possible, to prevent any lag. Thank you for understanding. PB&J 21:15, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Featured Article Candidate

I have now submitted this page to be a Featured Article Candidate. Please follow the link and leave a comment about it, we could use your support! -Charles Whipplebotum 20:18, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Malton, we have a problem...

First off, this an awesome new resource. Thanks to all concerned. Secondly, am I the only one for whom the whole-city danger map no longer displays correctly? The suburb displays are compressed into a narrow band, and the colours appear muted.--Mallrat The Spanish Inquisition TSI The Kilt Store TKS Clubbed to Death CTD 18:55, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

It still seems to work for me (Firefox, Mac, default skin). Bob Moncrief EBDW! 19:27, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Works for me as well in Safari on Mac. What browser/OS are you using? If there's an issue, we need to track it down. Aichon 01:53, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Hmm, currently browsing using IE on a laptop running Windows - it's not my computer, in my defence :) --Mallrat The Spanish Inquisition TSI The Kilt Store TKS Clubbed to Death CTD 07:19, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

Lerwill Heights

I think the map is pointing at the wrong at an incorrect square. In Lerwill Heights, the map appears to pull information from Mears Auto Repair [11,33 in West Becktown] instead of Mear Auto Repair [22,57], and so is showing the wrong danger report. I'd fix it, but I'm not sure how. Wyronth (talk) 05:46, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Wow, nice catch. I went ahead and fixed it. Aichon 05:59, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Excellent, thanks. Wyronth (talk) 06:22, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Wray Heights

The Danger Report is pulling from http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/User:DangerReport/The_Sonven_Museum, while the Sovern Museum page links to http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/User:DangerReport/the_Sonven_Museum, which makes it difficult to update the Danger Report properly.

I'm not sure if it'd be more correct to change with the Danger Report pulls from, or which the building page directs to. Wyronth (talk) 06:14, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

I updated The Sonven Museum to use User:DangerReport/The_Sonven_Museum instead of User:DangerReport/the_Sonven_Museum, and put in a delete request for the latter, since it serves no purpose and is contrary to the capitalization convention applied across the wiki. Thanks for finding this one too. You're on a roll. Aichon 02:07, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
