Welcome to the Wiki!

Remember, it's up to us to be responsible wiki editors.

Isn't that supposed to be like a joke or something, or are there actually players there that are commited to it? Lakeside 20:54, 11 September 2006 (BST)
It is an actual group thing, Project Mentor, that is. ask Paradox244 or Mr Yawn, among others. Its good, you'd like it, I think.--Canuhearmenow Hunt! 20:56, 11 September 2006 (BST)
No I know it's a group but isn't there also a project unwelcome which is more commited to it's goal that the people of project welcome is? Lakeside 20:58, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Yes, there is Project UnWelcome. I am talking about Project Mentor! It is far more commited to its goals, I promise.--Canuhearmenow Hunt! 20:59, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Considering Project UnWelcome is a parody, pure and simple, it wouldn't be very hard for anyone to top our "dedication". Cyberbob  Talk  10:58, 13 September 2006 (BST)

Project Mentor

You asked about getting a Mentor, so just thought i'd drop you a note that i'm happy to be your mentor.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 16:04, 12 September 2006 (BST)

Sure I would love to have you as a mentor. Lakeside 16:24, 12 September 2006 (BST)
Great! Any questions to start off with?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 18:08, 12 September 2006 (BST)
Sure, I see these links to policies being voted on at the top of the main page and I was wondering if anyone was allowed to start one, for example if I say made one that said all users must be nice to each other or even one that said that no user is allowed to use the tilda symble anymore, would that be allowed? Lakeside 18:19, 12 September 2006 (BST)
Yeah, anyone is allowed to start one, though there's no guarentee that they'll pass. I'm not sure what you mean by policies being voted on having links at the top of the main page, could you elaborate?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 10:44, 13 September 2006 (BST)
The community announcements at the top of the main page links to lots of places where you can vote on polices. Also there is a link that goes to a place where I can vote on modererators. Lakeside 19:13, 13 September 2006 (BST)
Ah, yeah, I get you now. Sorry, I misread what you wrote.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 19:21, 13 September 2006 (BST)
Hey lets say I wanted to store some content on the wiki but I don't want to put it in my user page where would I put it? Lakeside 19:29, 14 September 2006 (BST)
Like say I wanted to start working on something but I just want it to be under construction for now and I don't want to "post it". Lakeside 19:50, 14 September 2006 (BST)
Sorry, for the late reply, I didn't notice the post. It depends what you mean by "post it", if you mean you don't want people to edit it yet, then you could put it in the main namespace and put a notice asking people not to edit it at the top, or you could put it in you User namespace, and then move it out of it when it's ready.--The General T Sys U!
