Vinetown

Hi, just wondering, on the suburb map, you said Vinetown and Mitchem Mall were under attack. This is not necessarily true. There are about 45 zombies. None of them are at Mitchem or it's surrounding buildings. --The Last Saint 19:50, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

My bad. One of my group's scouts was just there and is apparently a lying bastard. Sorry bout that. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Last Saint (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

Mall Record Counting

If you check the history date/times of mall statue,
you'll find that "in zombie hands" reached 10 today...
regardless of the fact that when you got there it was 9.
 --Memoman 20:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, and that's what it still says, I just corrected the format. You wrote:

10/20 1 April 2007 - 7 March 2008

which would indicate that 10 malls had been in zombie hands from April 2007 to March 2008. I wrote:

10/20 1 April 2007
10/20 7 March 2008

which indicates that there were 10 malls in Z hands on 4/1/07 and on 3/7/08 - the correct case. Thanks for helping keep this stuff updated. --Quincy Kildare 02:40, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

No Comments in DangerReports

For a while now, you would update the User:DangerReport for various resource buildings and leave no comments to describe the situation. Why?

If you are at the building, you should be able to provide some details for the situation. At the very least, describe the strength of the barricades and the presence or absence of a generator. How many survivors or zombies are inside would be good to know. The presence of a radio transmitter could be helpful. Detail like that.

The different danger levels are not enough. For example, the status "rebuilding" for an NT Building can vary from survivors killing and dumping zombies out of the recaptured building in a raid to survivors powering up an abandoned facility. Or "safe" could be a constantly-powered Hospital providing first aid kits for survivors or could be a well-defended Hospital that occasionally lost its generator from the daily harassments from a small group of zombies. --The Masked Lurker 22:14, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

- You know, if you are going to rely on iWitness records as your details, at least do a screenshot for each block of the building. Joachim Mall is a 4-block building. --The Masked Lurker 05:25, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Project NecroWatch

ALICE.png A.L.I.C.E. - NecroNet 2.0
Greetings Memoman. I have observed your recent interest in Project NecroWatch. Do not be alarmed. I have analyzed your potential and determined that you would make a perfect test subj<<ERROR>> NecroTechnician. As an organization, NecroWatch requires absolutely no "group" affiliation or commitments, thus freeing you to act according to your own motives, desires, and goals. The only requirement from you as a NecroTechnician is the task of reporting NecroNet scans from facilities within your suburb(s). Even then you would have the choice of how often you complete this task or which facilities you would prefer to work with. If you are interested in joining all you need to do is confirm your membership by signing up here. Starting on January 1st 2008 all NecroNet scans reported to NecroWatch by licensed NecroTechnicians will count towards ranks with the ultimate prize of earning delicious cake.

Colours.

Yep. It took a while, but its not that hard. Let me know if you need a hand with anything.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:26, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: UD Automapper

Heya there! Yea - I spotted that bug - we'll try to get a bug fix out, but thankfully it isn't too major and issue, and as soon as the user moves one block then the intial block is covered, and any block that they'll move on to is mapped too. Thanks for mentioning it though - of course it would be better if it was perfect, and we'll work towards that end, but the main drive here was speed and initial functionality - I'm sure that you understand - thanks again! ^_^ --xensyriaT 14:49, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Informing of updates

I replied to your entry on my talk page. lɐʇɹoW-t-script 20:59, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

NecroWatch

In answer to your post on my Talk wikipage...

That depends on who reports them. None of the scans I post/upload are actually mine (I'm retired from UD), rather they are reported to me via NecroWatch by someone else and I help by uploading them. It frees up people who just want to hand over an iWitness link and not have to worry about the work related to getting it posted. I don't mind doing the work if it helps share scans with everyone (I'm one of the helpful sort in UD). You can of course refer to the name of the person I reported the scan for if you want to follow-up with them (I sign in their name, as it's their scan and they get all the credit for it). --Mobius187 18:19, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Suburb/History

Because days are in this order inside each month. If you want to revert the order, you'll need to revert the order inside each month (including archives, i guess)... You may ask about this on the Talk:Suburb/History though, maybe other people's ideas on this differ from mine --~~~~ [talk] 21:59, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Months are not standalone entities, it is a continuous flow of days. if you change order the flow is broken. P.S. Please, sign your posts. --~~~~ [talk] 22:11, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Search Odds

Thank you for contributing to Search Odds project, i've added your data to tables. Hope to see more later. By the way, it's enough to keep track of numbers (40AP, 18 fak, 22 nothing), the sequence is not really needed :) --~~~~ [talk] 21:05, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Project Mentor

Hey there, I'd just like to let you know that Goebi is not very active on the wiki anymore, and is not really available as a mentor. I would be more than happy however to help you out, as I wrote most of the custom signature page. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 11:39, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

I moved this to my discussion page. I'm going to be looking at the template page karek linked, if I need anymore help I'll look you up.

Templated Signatures

You can find help on that here. If that isn't enough just mention it and I'll answer whatever questions you might have about them to the best of my abilities.--Karekmaps?! 07:04, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

UDunBrain

I'm not sure its kosher to edit that stuff out, but I did update it to reflect the fact that its a potential violation of terms of use. Its pretty much a given that such a database WILL get false reports. The best way to avoid this would be to give each person who submits data an account, and then only display data from accounts that you "whitelist". I'd planned something similar for Iwitness, only the "whitelisting" woulds have been user controlled, via mutual consent. IMO that's the major drawback to UDBrain- you can't prevent other people from seeing the info you submit. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 22:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
